It low key shocked me and the texture was a little chewy but mostly the flavor tasted bland. It tasted more like milk mixed with strawberries instead of rich cream. I appreciated the theatrics but if flavor is most important to you, I personally think grocery store ice cream tastes better. My daughter has been wanting to go here since before they opened- we finally made it in and we ordered and watched as they mixed ingredients to put under the nitrogen faucet. The two young men working were bored, or at least that's how it felt. The family that came in after us were trying to ask for recommendations and it was excruciating to witness the unresponsiveness of the workers. I ordered the banana pudding sundae thing and it tasted like banana taffy, not actual banana. The texture is different too, thanks to the nitrogen. While my daughter loved it- I just "liked" it. I'm sure we will try them again- but I think next time I'll stick with chocolate. read more

** 2.33 Weighted Stars as I just don't get this concept. It is a ridiculously overly complicated, expensive product that at least to me didn't taste very much like ice cream. If you come here expecting Ben & Jerry's or Häagen-Dazs level or better ice cream I fear you may be as disappointed as I was. Setting ** Located at Krate so it is small but to me it isn't all that interesting inside either. They have some design on the walls telling me that nitro is better but they don't really tell me why. The menu board is small and far from the counter and the ice cream addition section looked like an unorganized mess. The coolest thing is when they shoot off the nitrogen gun and a cloud of frozen air floats around. Service **** The two kids working there are friendly and working really hard. I felt bad for the one kid doing all the mixing as it seemed like an enormous amount of tedious work. After you order they squirt milk/cream into a stainless steel bowl, blast it with nitrogen to freeze it. It then takes about 5 minutes to mix it altogether. If you want to have an idea on how long you will be standing in line for then multiply the number of people in front of you by about 5 minutes and divide it by the number of people mixing up the ingredients. May sound crazy but I'm telling you if you have 5 people in front of you it can take 25 minutes before you order. Food ** In my opinion this is simply frozen milk as it lacks any of the richness or the creamy texture of real ice cream. The worst offender is the chocolate which is just milk with chocolate syrup. You end up with frozen chocolate milk and it is not something I want to eat again. Value ** $8 for a small cup (2 scoops) with two toppings at .79 each is pretty outrageous for me. All creations start as liquid milk base then added liquid flavors for the base. Once mixed up it is zapped by a large blast of nitrogen a few times and the liquid changes to a solid. Pretty cool (literally) to watch. They then add the toppings of your choice and you can pick a cone, cup or waffle bowl to hold your freshly made ice cream. Was so happy to find Sub zero ice cream less than 10 minutes away in Wesley chapel, FL. The first Time I've been to Sub zero was they're location in st. Petersburg,fl and they had bubble waffles! Real waffles! However I was said to see that the Wesley chapel location does not offer a bubble waffle or ( real waffles) only a waffle cone dish, and honestly there wasn't really a lot of people there either every time I pass by I've not seen anyone at the Wesley chapel location! read more

I came to this location last night. While the ice cream is very good the service was not. I assume a teenager took my order. There were 3 people working all together. I ordered a large peanut butter ice cream with the toppings in it with Reese's pieces and gummy bears and my boyfriend ordered his ice cream. After the guy was done making the ice cream he handed me mine and said "here's the weird order". I thought that was very rude and unprofessional. It made me feel almost embarrassed. The people next to us were waiting to order and he just leaves and goes in the back. There was another guy there working who kept almost passing out and could barely stand so he was in the back as well. They left one person at the front having to make the ice cream and check people out. I just thought it was very unprofessional. The place is very nice and clean though. read more
