He is reliable, punctual, and courteous, and he does great work, often going well above and beyond to exceed our expectations. We're like you; we scoured Yelp for the best reviews before reaching out to multiple landscapers. We had a hard time finding someone who would (a) respond, (b) show up at the agreed time to provide an estimate, and (c) show up at the agreed time to do the work. We actually hired a different landscaper, who didn't show up to do the work after multiple reschedules. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we hired Carlos. If he doesn't respond to your message right away, give him a little time -- he's probably out working! We initially hired Carlos for a one-time project that included cleaning and re-mulching plant beds, weed removal, and trimming dozens of monstrously overgrown rose bushes and other plants. His estimate was reasonable and he arrived on time for each visit. He and his crew did a great job and totally transformed our yard. Based on the good experience with the one-time project, we hired Carlos for biweekly service. He has reliably shown up every time for the past six months, and continues to do great work. We just asked for basic maintenance like grass trimming and leaf blowing, but he has consistently gone above and beyond to maintain the work he did with the one-time project, which we didn't expect, and continues to blow us away with the scope and quality of his work. We have also asked him to do smaller projects, like replacing broken sprinkler heads, which he has done promptly, cheerfully, and at a very reasonable cost. A few rocks flew and cracked my truck window shattering it. My wife approached the worker and he admits and apologized. He gave me the owners business card, no business license, just name and number. I called the business number and the owner told me that he is not responsible for the worker's damage, that he has to pay out of his own pocket. I have everything on video, the owner threatened me with legal rights. I ran his business card and name, not licensed, not bonded, no insurance, wondering why his employee has to pay for the damage. Cash undertable. Going to call city of fresno and clovis tomorrow to check on licensing and report to CA California. Update, second day of the incident, called the worker that Roy provided to me and he cursed me out and hung up. So now nobody wants to pay for the damage.
