Total professional, even though I have an easy haircut that a buzz cut guy could probably do in five minutes, he takes his time (20 minutes or so) and has my head, which looks like a 30 sided die, looking human. Good conversationalist, thorough, and felt like I had a chum from cut number one. They don't allow students to do sew ins/braids. I have noticed that when there is a black customer with a coarse hair texture and a student needs help, no teacher has stepped in. But when it's a consumer of a different hair texture, they will help that student out. Also, one time while I was getting my hair done by my black stylist, the white instructor ( I think her name was Ms. M) came over to her and said to her " I love your hair. I just want to pet you". She's was a black stylist with a coarse hair texture. That triggered me. My stylist told me not to step or say anything. I also had a friend who went there. She was placed with a white student. My friend has coarse hair. The student broke down a cried right in front of her because she didn't know what to do with my friends hair. How is my friend suppose to feel about her hair when the stylist is literally breaking down in front of her. My friend was then placed with a black stylist. Aren't they suppose to teach everyone how to do all hair types? I don't think the instructors know how to do black hair at all. I think that the curriculum needs to be rewritten and they need to require all of the teachers there to know how to do all hair types

As a Chinese non-speaker, I usually have a awkward time for the first 5 minutes, but from there, the cut is quality and fast. $20 for a basic crew cut, and I'm in and out in ~20 minutes. They've got everything you need here, and keep the place pretty clean, so I have no reason not to regularly come back for simple cuts as needed!

It's a pretty nice place, the woman who washed my hair was relatively young and spoke English so that's cool, and the hair stylist gave me a pretty good haircut. The rude surprise was when I went to pay and the owner told me that it's cash only, no credit cards. Like most people these days, I don't carry much cash on me. I usually pay with my credit card and use the cash I have to give tips, often asking them to break my $20 bill so that I could tip the hair stylist and the woman who washed my hair. I told the owner that I had only $20 in cash (just enough to pay for the haircut). Then she had the nerve to ask me about tips. I explained to her that I had intended to pay for the haircut with my credit card and to use my cash for tips. She doesn't seem to understand that tips are optional and up to the customer, not mandatory or required by law. The owner acted like it was my fault that I did not have enough cash for both the haircut and tips when she was the one who failed to tell me that it's cash only when I first walked in and asked how much a haircut was. Instead of being apologetic or taking any responsibility for not taking credit cards, she blamed me for her own shortcoming. Who doesn't take credit cards in 2026 and why? Tax evasion? Someone needs to call the IRS on her! Eventually, I was told that I could go to the grocery store next door to use my credit card. Apparently, they worked out something with the grocery store that their customers can use their credit cards there to give them credit for groceries. After two long days at work, I really was not expecting to be treated so rudely on my one day off and going to get my hair cut and by people I was paying money to! I will never give this place a second try!
