WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I went in today and the lady who cut my son's hair was named Laquane. She had a bad attitude and was not kind whatsoever. If you choose to work at a KIDS salon with KIDS you are expected to at least be communicative and more patient towards them and us as the parents. especially if you see they are already in distress. As a parent you don't mind paying extra if you know you're paying for a better service but the service here was TERRIBLE, they clearly don't have people skills here. If you're looking to cut your toddler's hair please go somewhere else where the people who work there will be kinder and more communicative with you and your child. Instead of just trying to rush you and your child off. On top of the bad service I never once saw them clean in between clients so not very sanitary either. read more

I took my 3 yr. old grandson to have his haircut. He was excited when we walked in to see Paw Patrol on the screens. He also enjoyed seeing (and trying out) the different cars you can sit in while getting your his haircut. The stylist was absolutely OUTSTANDING! She would take his hand and allow him to feel the vibrations of the clippers before using them on his hair. She was patient, very kind, and spoke calmly to my grandson, especially when got agitated seeing his hair falling. She moved carefully when he moved while encouraging him. I was very grateful. The place is clean and decorated in a kid friendly way. I highly recommend bringing your child here. We'll be back. read more

She was really quick, and professional. My son was not the easiest to let her cut his hair, and she was able to maneuver around him. He cried the whole time and moved around but she was able to cut his hair. She was really good at getting around a difficult situation and very quick. read more

We took our son here for his first hair cut (he's almost two). He was a mess! Screaming and crying the entire time. Ms. Alexandria handled him soooo well, was able to work around his fits, and gave him a great cut. The patience she had with him was so amazing!! He even got a certificate printed for getting his first ever haircut when she was finished. I would recommend this salon to anyone with littles and we will absolutely be back. This place in my opinion is amazing for young kids getting a haircut. They are very patient do you know what they are doing with the kids. One point I will give you is to set an appointment. Do not show up 20 or 30 minutes before your appointment because you will be waiting for your appointment time. I do not believe that you can walk in and get a cut without an appointment. read more

Fantastic place for littles. I took my nephew for a post pandemic haircut and the stylist was a goddess. She was sweet and patient with a squirming 3 year old as she worked her magic. The special chairs are fun and they have a kids show playing as a great distraction. At $16.95 a haircut, I think it's reasonably priced for a custom haircut. I can't say enough good things about Alexandria! My 19 month old son went into total meltdown for his first haircut. Alexandria was so calm and sweet. She listened to what we wanted for his hair and it looks so good! She's a magician! My son cried and wiggled the whole time. She was really fast and I have no idea how, but his hair cut was a 10/10! I took my 1.5 year old son here yesterday, our 2nd visit, and was not happy with the cut. I understand that kids can move around a lot but this is a kids salon is it not? So shouldn't you have experience dealing with this? My son was having a hard time, I appreciated her understanding. However, if you look at the pictures, the cut is very uneven and doesn't lay right. If she felt she couldn't complete the cut, that would have been fine, but now it's completely messed up and I will have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Sure, his hair will grow out quick but that's not the point. I don't want my money back, and I don't want it fixed by this place after my experience. I won't be back and I won't recommend anyone here. read more

I asked the receptionist over the phone if we could get the hair dresser who did my sons first hair cut. I requested her because the other lady who cut my sons hair his second time wasn't as good. Well, when I came to my son's appointment, the lady I DIDN'T want was there. But I decided to give her (Stephanie) a second chance & now I really regret it. After she finished, she asked me "how it looked?" & I asked if she "could even his hair out on the other side." She looked puzzled & asked "what I meant." Anyways, when I came in I was the first person there, but during my son's haircut about 3/4 other walk-in's came in & from that point on I felt like she was trying to rush it since she was the only hair dresser there. I love this place. I took all 4 of my kids for back to school hair cuts. They were having a special. I think $8 for school age kids. There was a nice waiting area with a TV, train table, toys, magazines and hair books. Even in a busy Saturday the wait wasn't too long. They took each of my kids back one by one. For the little kids they have chairs shaped like a police car, fire truck or airplane. Each has its own TV for movies. For the big kids there's a regular chair with a play station and games. This was great as my 12 year old was not fitting in the toy airplane chair :). The cuts were great. My daughter wanted swoopy bangs and they were very patient listening to what she wanted, then what I wanted, and showed me while to style them at the end. My 2 year old doesn't like hair cuts, but he did better in the airplane watching a movie. They were quick with him but still did a great job. I was very impressed by the price, the staff and the store. We will definitely go back for all their haircuts! They are not open in Sundays and are connected to an adult salon right next door. read more

They do great work here, my son loves coming here and sitting in the airplane or fire truck barber chairs. The stylist are very careful to ensure the kids are happy with little cartoons playing. I took my son here to get a haircut, I had an issue with the cut but the manager was understanding and did the best she could to resolve it. Her customer service was excellent and overall handles her customers with respect and service with pride. Don't waste your time. The lady who cut my daughters hair made it SO uneven. My daughter is almost 5 and it was her first cut. The ladies were all talking crap about the manager (who was out for the day) nonchalantly the whole time. So unprofessional! Will NEVER go back. read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars because the lady doing my 13 month old son's first hair cut was very patient. He was not having it, throwing himself all over the place and not giving her a chance to give him a good cut. We ended up leaving almost 2hrs later with it unfinished because he was so done. My 7yr old daughter got a haircut too. She wanted some layers and side bangs. Worst cut ever! It was so choppy and uneven. The salon was a cute set up but I wouldn't take my daughter there again. I love love love this place. It is so clean and everyone who works there is so nice. Ashley, who got my sons hair, was amazing, she took the time to show him not to be scaree of the tools she used. They have the cutest stations, my son chose the airplane seat. There is a little TV at each station, playing (what else) Frozen. They really make the whole experience special for the kids. It was my sons first hair cut and I got a lock of hair, he got a certiciate and his picture taken! It was great. Ashley also took the time to retake the photo several times to make sure she got a really good one. Did I mention how CLEAN everything was, that really made my day!! I wasn't greeted at the door; in fact, it seemed as the one individual working never saw me come in, or my family of four! We took a seat, another family had their child at a station, and we both watched this lady run around cleaning multiple stations. I think both sets of parents were a little confused as to when the hair cut was going to begin. I thought maybe that family might be waiting on another stylist who may have went to the back to get something before we walked in and this stylist was preparing a station for us. You know, benefit of the doubt kind of thing. Either way, we waited, and waited some more. Not a word was spoken to us. This gave us time to look over the prices and we felt they were a little high. Finally, my wife gave me the look and we got up to leave. On the way out (for some stupid reason) I said something like, "We will be right back." Again, not a word was uttered by the employee. We went to Cost Cutter by the Kmart and received great service and an outstanding haircut for my son. They could have earned a repeat customer here as I am retired and plan to be here for awhile. This was on Monday, February 17th, 2014 in the evening between 5:30-7:00 pm. If you are the owner of this place check the tape and you will see it yourself. We were in a group of 4 and the other family had 3 and were seated at the far left helicopter station from the register. read more
