I was happy to see that Sassy Bee had a huge assortment of jewelry from this brand, more than I even expected. I was able to select a few bracelets that I needed for a gift, and for myself - I couldn't resist! The employees at Sassy Bee are very warm, welcoming, and helpful. They assisted me with picking out the perfect bracelets for my gift and with staying within my budget. They also informed me of an upcoming sale, their complimentary gift wrap offering, and their personalization offerings such as engravements on charcuterie boards, reusable tumblers, picture frames, and more. At this point, I am hooked and will definitely go back for myself and for the perfect gifts for loved ones! Good thing they told me about that upcoming sale, after all.

This is a cute boutique shop located in a busy shopping center. I went in looking for a gift (they…read moreare the only shop on this side of the river that carries Nora Fleming items) and also found some adorable blouses on super sale. The prices are a little higher compared to other boutiques in the area but their selection is huge and they offer gift wrapping onsite. Parking is plentiful so if you are looking for a unique gift or want to walk off your River City diner breakfast, I recommend stopping into Sassy Bee. It also seems like they have customer appreciation sales/specials often so it might be worth it to sign up.

It isn't cheap, but a lot of it is artisan-made. The Gallery is located inside the hotel, it's a mix of a gift shop and a gallery. The Gallery itself is down some stairs in the gift shop section and also near some windows on the same level as the gift shop. They always have rotating artists. In the past, the downstairs part only had art up, but it now looks like they're putting up some things to sell as well. It's free to visit, so if you don't want to buy anything that's ok. The people who work here are always super welcoming and kind. I highly recommend stopping by.

Co-owner…read moreKatie Ukrop maintains a great collection of jewelry, textiles, sculpture, home decor, paper goods and "tchotchkes" from the Richmond area and across the United States. This was one of the first stores in the area to carry reproduction Miriam Haskell jewelry. The owners also produce a few of their own items including pop-art-ish plates with silhouettes on them and tote bags featuring prints of old Richmond postcards. I've also seen funky cameras, felt handbags, earrings made from recycled tin and a selection of note cards and stationery that always makes it hard to leave without something. Most recently I'm in love with the little reusable cloth sandwich and snack bags featuring bold patterns; the glass water bottles and wine glasses that are made to resemble their plastic counterparts; and the wooden "Not Plastic Cutlery" that comes in packaged in a cloth napkin. The fun selection makes this a great place for buying gifts or just treating yourself. If you're there to shop, make sure you check out the front of the store and the room in back behind the main gallery display. There's lots of good stuff waiting for you.
