What should have been a one-week project turned into a frustrating five-week ordeal. On the first day, I was told the job would take about a week. The crew removed my old fence, set the new posts, and then disappeared for two weeks--leaving materials scattered across my yard and a large post from the old fence lying in front of my flower bed, which killed the grass beneath it. When I contacted the company to ask about the delay and the debris, I was told their truck had broken down. While I understand mechanical issues happen, it's difficult to believe a business would come to a complete halt for weeks, leaving employees without work and customers in limbo. They returned briefly two weeks later, worked for a few hours, and again disappeared for another week with the same excuse. Meanwhile, the post remained in my yard. Only after multiple follow-ups did they finally remove it--five weeks after the project began. Even once the fence was finally installed, the job still wasn't truly complete. Dirt piles were left at the base of each post, which made it difficult to maintain the yard. Despite this, I received a bill before the cleanup was done. I've included photos of the post that sat in my yard for weeks and the dirt left behind. Overall, the work felt disorganized, unprofessional, and lacking in customer care. My advice: consider hiring a fence company from Biloxi or Gulfport. Others I know had their fences completed within a week--something I had hoped for, but unfortunately did not experience with Gulf Coast Fence Company.
