The schedule is easy to find on MindBody as well as posted in the studio. Studio fees are reasonable. The studio is clean and well lit and has all of the equipment you need for each class. There are 2 class spaces - a small yoga-ish studio off of the main room and a larger concrete floor studio in back with a small platform/stage and a roll up door for ventilation/extra light. Both have plenty of mirrors, light, and fans if needed. Alicia and her staff are super friendly and welcoming. There is always someone at the desk greeting students and getting you situated. Another cool note is that Alicia sponsors or partners with non-Columbus-based instructors who don't have studio space for extra offerings or events.

The voicemail box is full constantly. It's dirty. WATCH OUT FOR UNAUTHORIZED FEES: However, it is still a SNAP fitness that operates under corporate and will not stop to charge you for club enhancement fees without notice. The club enhancement fee is in a class action lawsuit in Ohio. I checked my contract and it is NOT in my contract. Also, what is a club enhancement fee? Nobody could even explain this because it's made up to steal from customers. I was charged this a few months into my membership. When I brought this to the owners attention and asked for a refund, I was quoted legal language they stated was in my contract. I checked my contract, the language quoted is NOT in my contract. You would think since they have this lawsuit in Ohio, maybe they'd stop charging these fees that are actually just stealing from customers. I still don't have my refund & will seek legal action. I loved her amazing attitude and her dance classes so much I had to have more! I started coming here to the studio about a month ago. First off - if you are thinking about trying the studio out, you can - unlimited classes - for a week FOR FREE. Rates are incredibly reasonable and they even have hip hop for kids! So, even though Pam lured me to the studio i've gotten totally hooked on all the other instructors classes! There are so many types to choose from and they are all amazing! I especially 'love' Core RX on Sunday morning. I mean, I totally want to die the whole time, praying for it to be over but once it is....it feels so good! I love the community feeling and support from everyone - and I think my butt is starting to look pretty good! What more can you ask for, right?!

Gail Mitch and Jen Borman have pooled their years of experience in the fitness industry, dreams, skills, talents, visions, passions, knowledge, and energy to create Workshop Method. And it's right here in Columbus! Clintonville, to be exact. You guys, we are SO lucky! Imagine if you could draw inspiration from every workout you've ever loved, dream up a way to integrate what totally rocked, make it a reality, and teach classes with the principles YOU believe in. You end up with this contagious energy you can sense throughout your workout. It has been so fun to be a part of their first few months in business and I can't get enough. Classes are organized by body part/style of workout and are scheduled in such a way that you can safely go as frequently as you would like. Workouts are the same throughout each day, but will vary in routine from week for week. For example, Mondays are always "Glutes & Legs," and the 6:30 workout will be the same as the 9:30, 4:30, and so on. But the following Monday will be a fresh set of glute and leg work. If you choose to come back Tuesday, you can expect to work back and chest. (These are subject to change). Each day varies on a rotating schedule. Each class has a little different style, but some things are consistent. You will always get a grade-A warm-up. I promise you'll never jump right into the most intense thing off the bat and it's never an after-thought. Jen and Gail believe (rightly so) that you'll perform your best and be able to sustain your level of training if you activate the right muscles and get the mobility you need. I'm talking a solid 10 minutes of band work activating glutes, some light rowing increase heart rate, shoulder stabilization, and mental focus. It's the kind of warm-up with an intensity level that usually gets a few surprised faces when they ask "Alright, that was just the warm-up. Are we ready to begin?" The heart of your workout will use bands, weights, your body weight, and high quality water rowers. If you haven't been on one before, it's very friendly to your joints and pretty quick to learn with their helpful cues. You'll be using your whole body, so it makes for a great cardio interval when done at varying speeds and durations. While you're off the rower, on the mat at your station, expect to engage in creative, easy-to-learn resistance exercises that you'll do in sequence along with everyone else in class. You guys KNOW how many new places I end up and how much diversity I have in my workouts and every time they have something new for me. It's refreshing and presents a welcome challenge. I am never ever bored at Workshop Method. It helps distract me from how hard I am working. I always leave feeling accomplished.

A happy upbeat & inspirational environment lives here. It is a blend that matches one's caffeine intake and reminds one to get your fitness goals done. This location is massive and one-stop-shopping for all of your wellness needs. The happy counter staff such as the very welcoming, Kenneth, to the kind cafe peeps and even salon staff that absolutely do not take themselves too seriously but are naturally happy and helpful. This was my second time and I wanted to do more than I did the previous time here. I had the privilege of taking a dance class with the soulful and intuitive instructor named Jenny. It was a high energy dance coreo set where she made sure all were included and shined with gusto during the end of class performance. She created a special 'ring of accountability' before and after the class was taught. A true safe space to your bold authentic yourself. This kind of teaching extends beyond one's 'self-care' and exists on a frequency of 'community-care' and supports the 'group mind' of a creative set of artists or people wanting to draw more outside the box. The steam room and sauna were clean and detoxes one perfectly and so does the amazing hot tub and plunge pool duo and while taken all in rotation it was downright Japanese in their easy flowing easy to access layout. For every uptempo aminity there are downtempo ones too. A special shoutout to soulful Elizabeth Brown who taught a mid-day Root Yoga course filled with the best energy and well paced kindness. This is my kind of class, it's solid and restorative in its pacing and keeps the yogi listening without the pressures of comparison. Elizabeth meets you where you are no matter the level of practice and look forward to booking her class again when I am in town next. Thank you Lifetime Fitness, I am a fan of what you do and all the work that goes into making this massive 'cruise ship' of a gymnasium sail flawlessly! Nameste! Keep up the good work! Ahoy!

GPF is 24/7 and has plenty of equipment, just about everything you need. Really nice in the warmer months as they open up the garage doors and air the place out. Can get crowded though in the late afternoon/ early evening (like most gyms) especially with space being a little tight. Cost is 60 a month plus initiation. The armory is a much larger facility and literally has every piece of lifting and cardio equipment possible. Is not open 24/7 but is from 6am to 10 pm most days. Staff has always been quite friendly. Cost for this place is 100 a month which also gives you access to GPF. This was one of the main reasons I left as the cost was prohibitive for my friends to join. They opened this facility about a year ago so I was grandfathered with my GPF membership. Another thing to note is in terms of facilities they had been open about 9 months when I left and at that time didn't have locker rooms and as fast as I knew no plans for when they would open (but they did prioritize opening other more expensive training areas). As of when I left, they had 2 bathrooms to share with the entire weight floor and the basketball court. The armory does have a basketball court but they share it with a grade school as well as several other groups so there is virtually no open court time regardless of the time of year. Big downside of the armory is that to access any of the nice recovery equipment (massage guns, cold tubs, etc), you have to be a shield member which is 195 a month plus initiation. That price point is frankly excessive in my opinion. Both gyms are pretty serious lifting gyms, so if that is the vibe you are wanting then this is definitely your spot. Probably less suited to the more casual lifters (like me). Certainly not a bad thing, more just an FYI. All that being said, solid facility, great place to lift if you are willing to pay for it.
