When you arrive at the Charles F. Dodge City Center and see the huge yellow structures in the front, The Frank Art Gallery is located on the opposite side. It's a small but beautiful and modern space. They change out their art exhibits regularly. Check out their website for different classes for all ages. We attend the monthly Teen Art Club and it's only $5. So crazy how inexpensive. But something different and fun. Highly recommended. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. The space is gorgeous. Love the modern vibe!

Symons and Brown were commissioned to create the piece to coincide with the opening of the Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery and Exhibit Hall in 2017. The Frank is a two story art gallery named in honor of Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank C. Ortis for his decades-long commitment to the cultural arts. You can find Pixel Twist on the exterior wall of The Frank. Peter Symons has degrees from the Pratt Institute of Design and the Rhode Island School of Design. He has taught at the University of Miami and FAU. He is the founding Partner of Art Light Space, Inc., an art and design collaborative with the mission to integrate experiential art into public and private spaces. Symons has had many exhibitions in South Florida and Rhode Island. Leah Brown has degrees in sculpture from the University of Miami and Rhode Island School of Design. After graduation Leah Brown went on to win many grants and residencies and participate in exhibitions primarily in Florida. She also created Idea Journey, the eye catching mural in FAT Village in Ft. The art piece is a 7 foot tall by 16 feet long aluminum wall mounted with two thousand polypropelene 1.5"x1.5" black and white cylinders. You can rotate the pieces to create your own designs on the piece thereby becoming part of the art. It is fun to experiment and play and see what you can create.
