When we went in there was only one stylist so when she said who wanted to go first I asked if there were no other stylists. She said no it was just her which I was disappointed in because I didn't want to have to wait. We weren't even offered any drinks. The stylist offered to wash my hair before she started my fiends trim I said sure thinking it would help with time. She placed some leave in conditioner and asked if I was comfortable. I was for a moment but I was left at the sink the entire time it was taking for my friends trim and hair curling so it definitely became uncomfortable. When it was finally my turn I was kinda surprused how basic a blow out was because she dried it and then used a curling iron to curl it right after. When I told another friend about that she told me that's not a true blow out and there's a round brush that should be involved and takes quite a while. As we were leaving I told my friend it kinda sucked and I felt like I could've done that myself. She said it might be that the stylist just wanted to eat because the stylist told her her bf brought her food. For the price, absolutely not. The girl was nice but she is not ready to work on her own. Also whoever does scheduling should've reached out to us to tell us we would have to share a single stylist and not just a surprise. I would not recommend this place, 1st impression is everything. I appreciate the owner reaching back out but I was not informed there would only be one stylist. That is a lie. We would have either rescheduled or booked elsewhere.

Not that my style is elaborate or anything but my hair is my favorite physical attribute so I don't trust my hair cuts to just anyone. Ok!! I don't skimp out on hair cut prices either so if you want an cheap hair cut, don't come to this salon. But ladies, let's be real. You spend $50-100 on a pair of shoes that you wear maybe once a week or in some cases once a month or a few times a year... But you want to get cheap on your hair, which you wear every day!!?? Pick your priorities lol Anyway, this is not a lecture... So... I was a virgin to hair color and smoothing treatment until Meli. I grew up promising myself I would never treat my hair w dyes or chemicals because I was blessed with gorgeous red hair from birth. Buuuutttt thanks to the birth of my own children (and the momentous dirty 30), I started to lose the natural luster in my natural red hair. It started turning brown. Ugh! Oh, so sad. So sad. So, Meli convinced me to try a glaze color treatment. She said it's not like regular dye, because the color fades out evenly over time so it doesn't look like a dye job (no roots). So after some heart to hearts and some trust exercises (wink wink) I finally took the leap and replenished my hair to its youthful vigor. And I'm so glad I did!! I also tried the keratin smoothing treatment. I'm posting the before (natural wavy and faded color tint from a few months ago) next to the fresh cut and keratin smoothing treatment and refreshed glaze. Nice huh? Oh, and let me talk about the smoothing treatment. Meli takes her time and does a super good job. She's a perfectionist and she cares about the long term wear and effects of her work. It took her three hours to do the smoothing treatment because she carefully and painstakingly straitened my hair in thin two to three inch pieces at a time. Omg. You can't find a deal like that on groupon... Ok!!! Lol. But don't take my word for it. Go see Meli and Meli's Beauty Bar. You'll see :) Meli's Beauty Bar is SO CUTE BTW! Her good style sense comes through in everything she does! She has cute comfy chairs, refreshments, wine and champagne, chocolate goodies, scented candles, music and the cutest decor.
