Yelp reviews sounded good but now I'm questioning if they're real reviews. I would NOT recommend this place. Came in for my appointment. One of the girls washed my hair, spent 10 minutes. The owner who didn't even introduce herself, proceeded to cut my hair. Thankfully, I had a photo for her to reference and made sure to specify not to cut it too short. She was mindful of that. However, as she proceeded to cut my hair, she did not section my hair off, or part it or even comb it. Wearing gloves and with a loose tooth comb, she just combed the front of my hair down and cut. Grabbing random parts of the front. Combed down and cut. She was using thinning shears, I think. She spent no more than 15 mins, then told the other girl to style my hair. The other girl blow dried and curled my hair. I could tell she had more technique. She sectioned off my hair blow dried and curled. I was done in 45 minutes from the minute I walked in. Charge $90 for a haircut that my kid could do.

She gave me great advice on regrowing my hair and never once sold me anything (even tho they had in house products) which was really refreshing. I'd been to many salons that oversell items to you even if it isnt the most optimal for your hair. Emily is really friendly and absolutely gives great pointers on styling and what might look good on you. Everyone at the salon has been great, it's clean, organized and lively. They take card for payment and allow you to tip over venmo which is great. My only call out is I've had simple services like a bangs trim cost a fair amount, though my regular haircuts have been great. If customers have issues with your business will you continue to put their personal information for everyone to see? Not that my style is elaborate or anything but my hair is my favorite physical attribute so I don't trust my hair cuts to just anyone. Ok!! I don't skimp out on hair cut prices either so if you want an cheap hair cut, don't come to this salon. But ladies, let's be real. You spend $50-100 on a pair of shoes that you wear maybe once a week or in some cases once a month or a few times a year... But you want to get cheap on your hair, which you wear every day!!?? Pick your priorities lol Anyway, this is not a lecture... So... I was a virgin to hair color and smoothing treatment until Meli. I grew up promising myself I would never treat my hair w dyes or chemicals because I was blessed with gorgeous red hair from birth. Buuuutttt thanks to the birth of my own children (and the momentous dirty 30), I started to lose the natural luster in my natural red hair. It started turning brown. Ugh! Oh, so sad. So sad. So, Meli convinced me to try a glaze color treatment. She said it's not like regular dye, because the color fades out evenly over time so it doesn't look like a dye job (no roots). So after some heart to hearts and some trust exercises (wink wink) I finally took the leap and replenished my hair to its youthful vigor. And I'm so glad I did!! I also tried the keratin smoothing treatment. I'm posting the before (natural wavy and faded color tint from a few months ago) next to the fresh cut and keratin smoothing treatment and refreshed glaze. Nice huh? Oh, and let me talk about the smoothing treatment. Meli takes her time and does a super good job. She's a perfectionist and she cares about the long term wear and effects of her work. It took her three hours to do the smoothing treatment because she carefully and painstakingly straitened my hair in thin two to three inch pieces at a time. Omg. You can't find a deal like that on groupon... Ok!!! Lol. But don't take my word for it. Go see Meli and Meli's Beauty Bar. You'll see :) Meli's Beauty Bar is SO CUTE BTW!
