This is a great place for lashes! I've had a full lash set and a lash lift done by Amanda and I was super happy with the results! With a full set of lash extensions I never had to wear mascara and they lasted over a month. Also, while the extensions are being put on, it's so relaxing I actually fell asleep! I just had the lash lift and I think I'm hooked! I don't have to use a lash curler anymore, just mascara. I love the environment, everyone is so nice. Thank goodness for Amber Bell! I got my eyelash extensions done by her around three weeks ago and I have so much good to say about my experience! To start, she is the sweetest thing that has ever graced this planet and is so committed to giving you the look you want to achieve! I didn't want a natural look like I had just swiped on a coat of mascara, however I was looking for something that stood out but didn't look noticeably fake. I haven't had to wear mascara in weeks and I couldn't be happier! My natural lashes won't hold a curl no matter how much I curl them, even if I use a primer or heat up my eyelash curler, they go flat in about an hour. They are quite pricey for the full set, but the refills are much cheaper, so over time they cost about the same as other salons that advertise a lower price for a full set. Backstory: I got lash extensions a few months prior and the woman glued numerous lashes together and made them all the same length. They ended up falling out in clusters about a week later and I was left with lashes maybe a centimeter long. This place was in AG and the lash stylist did not have an esthetician's license, so the best thing I could suggest is to check for that before you get your lashes done because these are your eyes you're messing with! Anyways, Amber did an AMAZING job and played great music while she applied my set. We were talking a lot of time, but there were definitely moments when I nodded off. The whole application of a full set lasted around and hour and a half and my time slot was two hours, so I didn't feel rushed or like Amber was rushing to finish. I really cannot recommend her enough! If you're considering getting eyelash extensions in SLO or nearby, definitely go to Amber Bell at Elevenses. read more

Amber Bixler is a magician! I have had hundreds of massages in my life, and after the first one I ever received from Amber, it felt like the first. Somehow she is able to do intense deep tissue work without feeling like someone punched you the next day. She's incredibly intuitive and communicates throughout the massage, which I feel is super important, especially with deep tissue work. She has done some tremendous work on the tension in my lower back and hips, and her prices are reasonable considering the magic she can work! I only use Amber Bell for my facials and I book those things monthly like clock work. I thought I would just have terrible pores forever, but this girl has worked MAGIC on my face. I am super allergic to most things, but she uses products that soothe my skin and has gone out of her way to make sure that I feel comfortable with what she is putting on my skin. She is also just amazing to be around, so not only do I get an amazing facial for an hour but we get to chat or I just get to be in her super soothing presence. She is seriously the perfect facialist. I wouldn't recommend anyone else as an esthetician, AND she also does the best eyelash extensions. This girl is a win win and I am so happy I found her!! One of the best places to get a massage. Amber has been my masseuse for a couple years now. She definitely utilizes her great massage skills and immense knowledge of physiology to help work out any kinks. At the start of every session she sits down with you to figure out what is going in your body. Then she caters her massage to help in the areas you need it most. After many years of sports injuries, an active lifestyle, and working hunched over I have developed plenty of upper back and shoulder issues. Just had my first massage by Amber in Elevenses new location on Upham, and...it was SO good! The new studio is beautiful - the colors and decor automatically soothing. I got a second massage from Tenli. She is wonderful, very knowledgeable, she found my trigger points and worked on them kindly but with the exact amount of deep pressure, much needed in my case. AWFUL EXPERIENCE! AMBER is very UNPROFESSIONAL! $200 wasted! If you really want to experience eyelash extensions, GO ELSEWHERE! She took 40 minutes to complete a process that when done correctly should take at least 1 to 2 hours. Lots of uncomfortable tugging and pulling during process, but figured it was normal (by the way, I was wrong). A few of my top lash extensions were glued to my bottom lashes (notice the missing eyelashes in picture). I contacted her immediately and did NOT receive a response (she only contacted me 3 weeks later to remind me of my next appt). I felt so much discomfort, so I had to get help. I ended up finding another person. THANK GOD for Tami @ The Talk of the Town. She questioned Amber's certification after she took a look at the lash extensions and found so many were glued together in LUMPS. A horrible job Amber Bell! No other choice, but to remove them.
