You expect the gear to be in good condition and the experience to be pleasant. That would make for a 4 star experience in my book. But, Doug went above and beyond the call of duty. From helping me pick exactly what I needed and nothing I didn't, to communicating with my insurance company to make sure they had all the information I needed in the right place so that I would be properly covered should something go wrong. I called the man at the last minute "You got a slider?" the answer was "Yup" and it was promptly picked up. My delivery guys dropped the ball so Doug brought the gear to my shooting location which was luckily not too far from his office but still, way above and beyond what I expect a gear rental business to do. The best way I can describe it is pride of work. I will ALWAYS rent from Pro Gear Orlando! The shop, I have to say is truly impressive with the selection of cameras and film rolls and accessories they have in stock! You'll find everything from vintage stuff to modern photography necessities in this place. I took my 12 year old Nikon P510 for servicing as I was having trouble with the LCD display. Michael helped me with the issue and advised that it needed a battery and/or charger replacement. Since he didn't have any EN-EL5 batteries or MH-61 chargers in stock for sale at the time, he directed me to sources where I can find them and didn't charge me a single dime for the consultation! This gentleman runs an honest business and is genuinely passionate about his craft. He and his team are kind, honest, considerate and true professionals. Usually, I find them comparable to other major retailers if you are looking at the more popular "items." However, you can get a good deal out of here. I booked a 2 hour photography session with OWP with hair, makeup, and design in her studio. I met…read morewith Olivia and Chantille a few weeks before my shoot. The photos from my shoot were a gift and I had a deadline. OWP came up with a plan to get me a final product two weeks before my dead line! My first meeting was in the studio, all aspects of design were covered and I pre-ordered a bound book. Although my final costs were more then I wanted to spend ($$$$), the quality of the work was worth every penny. The overall communication with OWP was amazing and the customer service was great. Olivia and Chantille wonderful to work with. The shoot was really fun! Olivia and Yakeima (awesome designer!) made me feel relaxed and kept the mood upbeat and exciting. I have nothing but great memories and would not change a thing about that shoot! A few weeks after my shoot I went back the OWP studio to preview the photos for my book. Viewing my photos was difficult; the computer program was sluggish and loaded everything very slowly. The process was a bit awkward; they had just rearranged the studio and didn't quite have the computer situation or seating figured out so that could have been the problem. Although I am very pleased with the way the photos turned out I felt that the review process took longer than it needed to. The photography itself is amazing. I choose Olivia because her work speaks for itself. The artistic, professional look, and quality of Olivia's photography is exactly what I was looking for when I found her online.
