They have two stores at the same location. The store out front is the camera servicing store and the one tucked away behind it is the camera shop. We accidentally went into the shop first and were redirected to the service store by the nice young gentleman manning the counter there. The shop, I have to say is truly impressive with the selection of cameras and film rolls and accessories they have in stock! You'll find everything from vintage stuff to modern photography necessities in this place. I took my 12 year old Nikon P510 for servicing as I was having trouble with the LCD display. Michael helped me with the issue and advised that it needed a battery and/or charger replacement. Since he didn't have any EN-EL5 batteries or MH-61 chargers in stock for sale at the time, he directed me to sources where I can find them and didn't charge me a single dime for the consultation! This gentleman runs an honest business and is genuinely passionate about his craft. He and his team are kind, honest, considerate and true professionals. I couldn't figure out how to get my Nikon Camera working. I initially took it to Best Buy's Geek Squad, and wasted a whole day just for them to not even look at my camera and tell me that they couldn't help me. Kiwi camera service is a place of rare beauty. Craftsmanship, Hospitality and genuine love combine here to create a place thats part workshop part home. It's hard to walk into the shop without feeling inspired to create something. Where one may enter thinking about taking photos, a quick chat with any of the employees and you may have a new found love for more than just pressing a shutter button, but the process of photography and its history as well. From big to small there something for everyone here. And stock is always changing, whenever I visit it feels like a mini holiday to a theme park. Always something new to look at or marvel or maybe im checking to make sure the lens or camera ive had my eye on is still there. The prices are quite fair and I never feel like a service rendered was too expensive or unfair. Michael is amazing!!! I brought in my Nikon D750 after a rainy trip to London and 3 years of photographing concerts, special events and festivals. To say the least, my camera was disgusting and on its last legs. I decided to bring it in when my viewfinder fogged up and I freaked out that my expensive gear had been RUINED!!! I let my camera dry out, but the marks of condensation were still there and this small black spec that luckily never appeared in any of my images, but just personally irritated me. I looked up "camera cleaning" in Google and Kiwi Camera Service came up with all of the 5 star reviews. The shop is in Winter Park in a cute little house. I called for an appointment and was told to go ahead and drop it off on Saturday. I showed up 5 minutes before he closed, like the jerk I am... And he gave me the most superb personal service... Despite my showing up late. He explained that the issues I was having could be due to some parts being cracked or broken inside my camera and lens. He went ahead and showed me the interior of lenses and pointed out the weaker parts that could snap due to age. He also pointed out that the water intrusion may have caused a small amount of moisture in my power switch and caused it not to be able to turn off. I worried that my camera may be on its last legs, but he told me he would take great care of my camera and not to worry. Now cut to a few days later, Michael called me to let me know my camera was ready for pick up. I raced across town to get there, made it 30 minutes before he closed this time! I was able to meet his darling dog, super friendly and very well behaved.... She got many pets. Back to th camera, he not only cleaned my camera, he reglued the grips, replaced some missing screws, trimmed the fraying parts of the rubber grip and gave me lens cleaner and cloths for future maintenance! No extra costs! I tried to tip him, he just laughed. Michael is the man!!! This is my camera store and should definitely be yours. read more

Wow, this place is so awesome. The man who owns it, Michael, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I came in here to see if he would be able to fix a used 35mm camera (canon a-e1) and he was perfectly honest with me about the total loss that was that camera. He proceeded to teach me about the market of 35mm cameras and how to buy them. He ended up selling me a Minolta x700 and gave me a year warranty on it with a 30 day money back. After using the camera a few days, the aperture preview became stuck and I took it back to him. He ended up giving me another Minolta x700 and gave me money back for the inconvenience. I was feeling inadequate about the whole thing because I felt like I was the one who broke two cameras. I have been a professional photographer for over 50 years and been to a lot of camera repair shops. I brought a very expensive lens, a canon 300 f 2.8 L into the shop because I could not get it to focus. I called canon professional services and they said they would not work on the lens because they no longer seviced it because of it's age and they did not have parts.. I bought this lens in Paris, France before year 2000 for around $10,000 and used it alot for fashion shoots. I called another very well known camera repair service I knew about in NY city and they said they might be able to fix iti f I shipped it to them and it would probably me a minimum of $650. I googled camera repair near me and found Kiwi, called them, explained the problem and they said to bring it in and they would look at it, which I did The technician Michael spent a few minutes looking over the lens and confirmed that replacing a part would probably be around 6-700. But after a few minutes of manipulating the focus ring he got it to start working and spent some time suggesting some things to do with the lens to keep it from locking up again. When I asked him how much I owed he said "nothing" where he could have easily said leave it with me a day or two and I will see what I can do and then charged me a 6-700 dollar fee. It was obvious to him that I would have no way of knowing he didn't really need to do much more and I would never know the difference, but I was truly impressed with his integrity. They have a really great amount of film cameras available and a lot of knowledge about how to repair things. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT THEM. I called a few weeks back about some issues I was having with my Pentax K1000 since I knew I'd be driving to Orlando from Sarasota, and Michael was informative and kind on the phone. The best service. Personal, authentic, and attentive. I was referred by a colleague to get my Canon 5D Mark ii cleaned at Kiwi while visiting Orlando. I called Saturday morning and was delighted to be fit in under short notice. I was greeted by Zane who fully detailed and priced the service and also fixed my broken battery door.
