She is incredibly experienced and intuitive about light and color and is very warm, welcoming and fun to work with. She helped me choose wardrobe from the things I had brought, chose complementary backgrounds and directed me expertly for the most flattering shots. After the shoot she quickly pared down the shots to a few dozen which we went through together in order to find the final three. The entire process was smooth and easy and under an hour total. Within just a couple days she had gently edited the photos and emailed me a download link. Super simple and quick! I am not especially comfortable having my picture taken and was apprehensive about the appointment but it was an absolute joy and I couldn't be more happy with the images we ended up with. She arrived about 15 minutes early and started taking pictures and checking on lighting. The day was such a blur for me and I am usually the one who snaps pictures but I wasn't able take any. It was such a treat to have Kastle send me a link to all edited shots the next day. It was great to be in the moment, yet have someone take pictures so that we can have memories from the day! Stacey brought a lot of outfits, wraps, backgrounds, etc. for us to choose from which was really helpful since we weren't completely sure what we wanted - and she suggested some really adorable poses! She's very warm and gentle with the newborns, and just as great with the toddlers; she read a story to our 2-year-old daughter while I nursed the baby, and our daughter just adored her. Prior to coming to our home, she also emailed several suggestions for getting ready (such as making sure the room was a little warmer than normal so the baby would stay sleepy and happy through outfit changes). We find her so fun to work with and she makes the process so easy; it's amazing to be put at ease while having your picture taken. She had the pictures to us within the week, and they are gorgeous! I debated for a while whether we should do this or not since she is a picky photographer wannabe herself. And the time passed so fast. I used the function in Yelp to reach out to multiple photographers and Heidi was one that responded along others. She requested more information by email and she had the flexible dates and reasonable price for what we wanted. Heidi suggested several locations such as Jennings park, Snohomish downtown etc.. Daughter wanted to get done in Snohomish. It was raining the day unfortunately and wasn't sure how it will turn out to be. Heidi even offered to change some other time. But we just decided to do as our schedule was heck tic at the time. It was supposed to be 40 minutes long session but probably ended up like an hour? My daughter changed once, formal to casual. Also she wore graduation gown and cap in the middle of the session. Heidi was very patient and tried to accommodate what we wanted. The whole session went smooth as she knows the area, how she wanted my daughter (and her boyfriend) to be the model. She went above and beyond every step of the way. Finished pictures were warm, exhibited natural beauty. I highly recommend Heidi for any portrait sessions and weddings.
