She mentioned that her clients have given her good feedback on her perm work, which made me feel comfortable trusting her with my hair. I followed all of her instructions after the appointment, including not washing my hair for at least three days. After that, I noticed that some areas of my hair did not take the curl well--some parts were curly, some wavy, and others looked straight or even a bit straw-like. I reached out to her and sent photos and videos. While parts of the perm looked nice, the results were uneven overall. I asked if I could come back to fix the areas that didn't turn out right and asked about the cost. She told me it would be the full price again--$190, which I had already paid the first time, plus I had tipped $50. I felt that paying full price again for a result that wasn't consistent the first time was too much. I wasn't trying to be rude or complain--I just wanted my hair to be even and properly done. I even offered to pay a reduced amount for a correction, but that was not accepted. Although the stylist was kind and professional in her attitude, I personally would not recommend this service based on my experience, especially considering the cost and the need to pay full price again for a redo. also I didn't have any issues paying $190 the first times not the second due to not done correctly. Texted my stylist four days in advance to make sure I could get everything done that I needed to which was color, highlights and cut. I was assured that I would. Confirmed my appointment two days prior. On the way to my appointment, I get a call that my stylist was ill and could I reschedule for next Tuesday. I explained the situation and asked if someone else could help me. I was told sorry but no. They lost a really good client. Will not be back.

Hair spray (no butane), shampoo, conditioner, dyes, etc. Even the cleaning products for the facility are organic! Owner Angie outstanding knowledge of Organic Products. First visit with Theresa was ok....no where near what I wanted but I gave her a second chance in hopes we could communicate better... I'm embarrassed to show these but don't want someone to have a similar experience. I sent her the photos and said I wouldn't be making another appt and why and her reply was Ok. Not an apology for the chemical burn on my forehead or the patch of hair burned off or the awful color/highlight job....not sure what she was trying to do. The lighting in that place is so bad it wasn't until I got home under real lights that I was dumbfounded. And no apology. I have to wait several days and more money to fix this mess and hope the burn heals in time, nevermind the hair patch I am now missing. The stylist I saw tonight to try and fix it was just dumbstruck. So just a Heads Up about Heads Up Salon.

Aaliyah has been my colorist every time and I recommend her to everyone. She spends the time to make sure she gets it right and it shows that she cares that you are happy. I love the style of the salon too. It's very chic and I enjoy the conversations going on between all the staff and clients while there. It's a nice place to relax and converse.
