We've been coming to Ballet Kukan in Monrovia for a little over a year and it has been such a…read morewonderful experience for my daughter. She started as a pretty shy beginner at age 6 in the ballet program and has grown so much in confidence and technique. The instructors are patient but very knowledgeable, and I really appreciate that they follow the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum so there is a clear structure and progression. I can see that they provide real training rather than just a casual dance class. We also tried their jazz and hip hop classes and loved how organized and age-appropriate everything is. The environment is fun, but you can still tell the students are actually learning proper technique. I also like that the studio is clean and welcoming, and they have clear communication about schedules and progression. The performances are amazing as well. We're very happy to have found a studio in San Gabriel Valley that balances discipline with encouragement.

Here's your translation:…read more My son has decent athletic ability. At four, he could climb a pole at the park, and by five, he was riding a bike without training wheels. So, I enrolled him in this street dance class. After a year, he still can't do anything. The teacher probably doesn't even know the basics, like the Thomas spin, yet started teaching others. We've decided to stop wasting time with this useless street dance class. If you want your child to actually learn something, don't come here. If you just want to waste your own and your child's time, feel free to sign up. --------------------------------- Reply to this owner: Obviously, my son has been attending classes with you. You're trying to dodge responsibility by claiming he hasn't. I'll be coming tomorrow to cancel your terrible and useless course. Also, your response will be shared with everyone. Not only do you fail at teaching dance, but your attitude is poor, and you have a habit of shifting blame.

This place honestly feels more like a community service dedicated to teaching people how to dance…read morethan a business trying to get rich. At the time of writing this review, the drop-in rate is only $17, and you can purchase a 5-class bundle for just $15 per class. $15... what can you even get for $15 these days? Lol. The best part is that the classes never expire. You literally get a physical card, and the owner/instructor hole-punches each class off old-school style. I actually love that. I've been to two classes so far, and the male-to-female ratio has been pretty balanced. Everyone has been friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. For the price, atmosphere, and quality of the community, it's really hard to beat. I'm honestly so glad I live nearby and have a place like this where I can learn how to dance.

This ballroom studio is such a fantastic place to learn salsa and/or bachata for all levels! We recently joined this ballroom studio and bought an 8-class pass. We're currently on our fourth session, and although the moves are a bit challenging, the instructors here really do try to get to every individual and see what each student's challenges are. What's great is that you will never find yourself with the same partner when you are here, which helps I feel helps you learn better as well. The place is definitely well kept, neat, and they have mirrors all around the facility! The prices are very affordable in comparison to some of the other studios we've seen in the past. Thank you to our awesome instructors! We can't wait to keep coming back!

We had a few substitute teachers and all were wonderful except for one. We had an issue where one of the other students was causing trouble, but the sub didn't care. WE FOUND THE PERFECT BALLET SCHOOL…read more My girlfriend and I tried out several different studios looking for decent ballet instruction that our daughters would enjoy. It took a few tries but this one was it. The owner and teacher, Ms. Cori, is just absolutely wonderful. She's firm but patient and good with all the girls. Never does she raise her voice and she's always so friendly and positive. She keeps her class sizes small so that she can focus on teaching them well. She also has an assistant whom helps her with correcting the children while she leads the class in dance. She's so considerate when it comes to trying to save the parents' money. For instance, not only does she teach ballet, she includes basic tap lessons as well. And she has so many tap shoes in different sizes that she loans out until the dance year is over, when everyone then returns the shoes. She keep reiterating that we do not buy any until we know for certain that she does that have any in our child's size. Additionally, the first class is free so you can see how you and your child like it. She also does not prorate the lessons. So if you come into the class towards the end of the month, you don't have to pay extra for those lessons at the end. She just has you pay for the new month going in. So I would say it's about: -5 minutes of warm-up -35 minutes of ballet -5 minutes of free dance -15 minutes of tap at the end There is a dance recital at the end of the cycle, which some studios don't do. Le Petit, as good as it is, was also surprisingly cheaper than the other studios we tried. I'm so happy we found this place. Price notes: -$20 registration fee -$45 monthly tuition -$70 recital costume purchase
