Dennis is AMAZING!! He was my photographer for my engagement shoot and my wedding. He's done several of our friends' weddings so I knew he was really good already but working with him made me really appreciate his talent. My (now) husband and I are not great with posing for photos at all and we told Dennis this so he made sure to give us specific directions during the shoots. He has such an eye for photography and he can make a simple place look extravagant. I also liked how he made sure to incorporate any requests that we had. For the engagement shoot, we had a meeting to discuss logistics but he also helped me figure out what outfits would look best together so that our clothes didn't clash with each other or feel washed out by the background. I mentioned to him that I wanted to do some more "cool" fashiony pictures and he totally delivered on this during the shoot but with his own style. He even remembered some of the poses from the inspo pictures I sent him! Warning: This review will be super long, but detailed because I know brides want details!!!! I have been working with Dennis for photography and Amy, his business partner for flowers. I cannot believe how amazing they were. They really were the glue that held my wedding dreams together. They took an idea of mine and created a stunning venue out of it. First, let's talk about the photo work. Dennis is an absolute professional and is on top of his game. I am so lucky that I decided to work with Dennis because I honestly believe that I would have not receive the wedding of my dreams without his company. Dennis is fun and erratic, but I love that about him. He's very into aesthetics, which is important to me as well. He understands how to get the image you're looking for. I have seen some of the photos he's taken from my wedding yesterday and they were gorgeous. Also, his engagement photo work was beyond belief. I had wanted an engagement shoot that reflected something completely different from me and my spouse's everyday life. What came out of it was an amazing retro shoot in California Theater. The pictures were incredible. He is so focused during work and you know he's able to see shots that not an average eye would see. For example, he used a curvature of a piece of furniture to create an outstanding shot. His art speaks for itself. Not only that, he is super dependable. HE WILL BE THERE ON TIME AND WILL HOLD UP HIS END OF THE BARGAIN. So, if he says he's going to be there at this time, or meeting you at this place, or delivering items you requested, he will follow through with his word and will be on time. He is super reliable and I cannot tell you that this made our wedding stress-free. As you may or may not know, Dennis works with Amy Eimer. Amy does the floral work. Dennis and Amy delivered 1000x more than I expected. The didn't cheapen out, they got me tons of flowers!!!! At first, I was a little hesitant to hire her because I fell in love with another florist Instagram; however, when talking to Amy and seeing how much she cared about me and my wants, I wanted to work with her. It was the best decision I could have ever made, because without her, I don't think my venue would have looked the same. She truly listened to every word that I said but wasn't afraid to stick in her ideas when she knew it would only benefit me. Because of this, both my wedding venues looked spectacular. My friends and family were amazed with the work and the flower selections. Thankfully, I trusted her craftsmanship because it really paid off in the long run. They even added some finishing touches that I didn't even know about until I saw them and they were amazing. Also, Amy was a professional as well. She was willing to meet with me to talk flowers and answers emails and texts immediately. I love Amy. She is so easy to talk to and has such an agreeable personality. She knows her weddings. Amy and Dennis made my atypical wedding (which was a restaurant that never held a wedding before) look like a million bucks. They were able to take all the knick-knacks I bought throughout and put it together better than I could ever have - better than anyone could have. We had Dennis do our Engagement shoot and our wedding pictures. He has a very eccentric personality, very friendly and very likable. Some of the poses he has us do are the typical, and he has some that are very cool. He was very open to trying out some poses we suggested for him. Many of his shots turned out very amazing and very clear. If you compare his work to others, he doesn't need to blur out any pictures to make them nice. He goes for a very crisp and realistic shot and editing. We looked at other photographers and many of theirs was highly edited and made things look more fake. We really liked Dennis style and the way he did our pictures. You can tell by the communication that he is a very busy person and hires a lot of clients, but you can also see that he tries really hard to make clients happy. During our engagement shoot, we had negotiated with him various different locations and shots. It was getting very late and it was getting night time, and he was still wanting our time to get as much shots in as possible. As busy as he is, you can tell he puts a lot of heart into his clients. For all the couples planning their weddings right now, you know how easy it is to argue over the details of every aspect of the big day, including which vendors to hire. We didn't agree on a whole lot of things, but hiring Dennis was pretty unanimous. All two of us agreed! He has a nice little office in downtown San Jose now, but before he got famous, we had our first client/vendor meeting at bookstore/coffee shop. He brought with him samples of finished products from his previous clients. Needless to say we were pretty impressed. He has different packages for us to choose from, varying in price and in quantity of finished products. We booked him the following day for a package that included an engagement shoot, two wedding ceremonies on two different days, all the raw and edited photos, an 18x24, and an album. My wife and I have never done any sort of photo shoot before, so we didn't quite know what to expect. However, working with Dennis was pretty fun. Not saying that it was easy (because Dennis has to have the perfect shot =) but it was a good experience. His ideas, vision and creativity are top notch. The turnaround time to get your pictures back is pretty quick (1 - 2 months). He spread out our payments over four installments, which worked out well for us in budgeting for all of these ridiculous wedding expenses! =) He did our engagement shoot at an airfield in Livermore and at numerous locations thoroughout SF. We had two wedding ceremonies, back-to-back. One was a traditional Cambodian ceremony on a Friday morning in San Jose, and then a traditional western ceremony in Monterey the next day. Furthermore, since the day of the wedding was so busy for bride/groom shots, we scheduled an after-wedding shoot a couple of weeks later back in Monterey. As you can see, he will go out of his way to work around your schedule and location desires. All in all, we are very satisfied with Dennis' work. Dennis and Studio Dizon were fabulous. They did our wedding on July 9th at Saints Peter and Paul Church and at the Green Room inside the San Francisco War Memorial. Dennis also took are of our engagement pictures. My wife and I struggled to find a photographer that was in our budget (under 4k) and had the talent and eye to pull off what my wife was looking for. We wanted a natural and candid feel for our pictures (none of this posed stuff...although when you do engagement pics you have to do it that way) One of the cool things with Dennis was there was no time limit (most photographers had an 8 hour limit and then they would charge you more) Dennis arrived at the hotel at 11am and was with my wife until we shut down the reception at 10pm. For me looking at the pictures of my wife getting ready made me feel like I was there in the room with her, her bridesmaids etc. He really captured the moment. Dennis and his two assistants covered EVERY aspect of the ceremony, pre and post pics at Saints Peter and Paul, then photos outside of the war memorial and finally the reception. He had EVERYTHING planned out so we were were able to get all the shots in that we wanted. We would hire Dennis again in second. Studio Dizon is awesome! Best package for the best price and the best service. Believe me too because I did ALOT of research and met up with a good amount of photographers. I have worked with Dennis a few times for our package (engagement shoot and wedding day)) and I love his ideas and approach. He never pushes any ideas on you..and will always listen to you. My concern at the time was that he had never done a traditional asian wedding so he dealt with my craziness when I had an itinerary of everything that was suppose to happen every hour of the wedding day. He did an amazing job. He came with an assistant who helped with the lighting..and they hit both my husband's house and my house while we were getting ready! Very good attention to details. That is the key because on your wedding..you are stressing to make everything perfect that you forget to enjoy the beauty of everything. Fun geniune shots reveal family's expressions. Plus he normally doesn't do family portraits during the wedding day, but he was able to do that for me as well as going out for our bridal shots. It was a great mixture of different types of photos- portraits, artistic, journalistic..you name it. And that was just for the wedding. The engagement shoot...boy, he spent the WHOLE day with us because we wanted to go to all these places that my husband and I spent our childhood together. I felt bad because I made him almost late for another shoot later that night in SF. I have recommended him to many and would definitely do it again in a heartbeat. PS. It helps alot that he's so easy to reach..you can call, text, email him and he replies almost immediately. I've been flustered with alot of people during my wedding preparation journey ...when after you pay, they pretty much disappear until the last minute! Dennis takes customer service seriously...I have a crazy work schedule....so the fact that he will meet at your house to get things done won me over. Customer satisfaction is very important to me as you can tell because I'm a huge yelper...luckily, he is one of those rare gems that will go above and beyond to obtain that. read more

When my fiancé started looking for photographers to book for our wedding, we were referred to Dennis. Being that my husband (now) is a photographer himself, he's pretty critical so I left it up to him to select. After we met with Dennis at his studio and saw his array of work in various styles, we knew he was "the one"! He and his staff were the perfect blend of professionalism, fun and creative. I hired Dennis to photograph my wife's baby shower in May of 2012. The pictures were fantastic. My wife and I have those memories captured exactly as we would have hoped. After almost a year and half, I finally found the time to write a very well deserved review for my photographer and florist (sorry it took me so long). I got married November 21, 2015 to my high school sweatheart at The GlassHouse in downtown San Jose. Dennis Dizon was our photographer and Aimer Eimer was our florist. Hands down, best duo ever. They gave me inspiration, creativity, and just so much love throughout the entire process. Not only are they great together, but they're awesome individuals too. I'll start off with Dennis. He shot our engagement photos and with the help of Kristen Guldner, they shot my wedding. From the moment we had a vendor meeting, we hit it off right away. Dennis was just so energetic and full of ideas, it totally inspired me and I couldn't help but be super excited. So it didn't take long for us to book him. My husband and I had plenty of ideas for our engagement shoot. Mainly we wanted to do something super edgy, similar to a modern day Bonnie and Clyde with more leather. Not only did Dennis get our creativity juices flowing, he totally delivered. Our engagement photos were seriously one of a kind, all because of his attention to detail. Til this day, everyone still talks about those photos! And that was just our engagement shoot! Our wedding was, of coarse, a lot softer and romantic. They turned out absolutely amazing, way more than I ever expected. He captured everything and brought it to life, so every time I look at the photos I relive that day. And that's one of the biggest blessings I can ask for. Dennis is seriously one of the most talented people I ever got to meet. Now on to Amy, she was referred to me by Dennis. Amy and I also hit it off right away. She is so easy going, super creative, and has a really great eye for detail. Not only was she my florist, she pretty much acted as my other wedding planner. She just loves to help and offers her expert advice. She made everything super easy and exceeded my expectations. Our venue, The GlassHouse is pretty much an open canvas and she filled that entire room with the most beautiful arrangements. When you walked in, all you notice were the flowers! So amazing...I couldn't believe it. Most of my guests were fighting over who would take the arrangements home, they were just that gorgeous. I have to say, picking a florist was one of the hardest parts of planning. I mean you realize how much you have to spend and if you're like me, you freak out a little. But when I met Amy she totally calmed my nerves. She made me realize the difference flowers can make and how they bring the entire wedding to life. She was so right, I have no regrets. She was able to work with me and still give me way more than I ever expected. I HIGHLY recommend them both, especially together!! When I first saw Dennis of Studio Dizon's work I knew I had to have him shoot my wedding! Working with Dennis the past year for my engagement shoot and wedding has been a dream. He is a very talented artist to say the least. His aesthetic for capturing unique and creative shots while remaining personal and intimate is truly amazing. Dennis drove all the way down to San Diego and spent an entire day with us for our engagement shoot. At our wedding, we had three people on site shooting and assisting.
