A love letter to Tía Karina's House…read more When my son was just six months old, I dropped him off at Tía Karina's House for the first time and as a brand-new mom, I was a wreck. Leaving your baby with someone else for the first time is one of the hardest things you'll do as a parent. A year later, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Karina, Anna, and Betty have given our son nothing but warm, attentive, loving care from day one. They run a mixed-age program with dedicated pods for infants, tots, and preschoolers, so every child gets care and activities suited to where they're at developmentally - while still being part of one big, connected daycare family. Watching our son grow up as part of their little community this past year has meant so much to us. We are NOT ready to leave, and honestly, that's the best endorsement I can give. If you're searching for childcare in the San Rafael area, you will not find a more caring, trustworthy group to look after your child. On that note -- they will have an opening for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday care coming up soon! If you're looking for a daycare home that will feel like family, don't sleep on this one. Thank you to TKsH, we are grateful!

We sent our two children to Sweet Sunshine Daycare, and we couldn't be happier with our experience…read more Our son attended from ages 2 to 4, and our daughter from 6 months, she's now 2 years old. From the very beginning, we felt the genuine love and care from Eliana and her wonderful staff. The environment at Sweet Sunshine is incredibly positive and uplifting. Eliana has created a nurturing space where kids can thrive. The programming is outstanding, thanks to a dedicated preschool teacher and a range of classes from art, soccer, yoga, Spanish, and music. Eliana also serves 3-4 home cooked, hot meals a day (breakfast, snack, lunch, early dinner). Our kids came home talking about salmon curry and fried rice, and thanks to Eliana, they are reaching their daily vegetable intake. Eliana makes holidays truly special with fantastic parties that parents are invited to. These events are well-organized, fun, and every child leaves with packed gift bags. She also goes out of her way to make each child's birthday memorable with themed celebrations. Communication with Eliana is excellent. She keeps parents informed and involved, ensuring that we always knew what was happening with our kids. You will receive hundreds of photos if you want! Sweet Sunshine Daycare is a wonderful environment to raise children, and we are grateful for the care and attention our children received. If you're looking for a daycare where your children will be loved, nurtured, and encouraged to grow, Sweet Sunshine Daycare is the perfect choice!

From the very beginning, we felt that he was in a safe, nurturing, and caring environment, and it gave us so much peace of mind as first-time parents. All the teachers have been incredibly kind, attentive, and wonderful with Ari. He started at 5 months old and it has been so special to see him grow, learn, and become comfortable there. He always smiles when we drop him off and pick him up. We are truly sad that our time at the daycare will come to an end--not because of the experience, but simply because our family is moving to Petaluma. We highly recommend Little Stars and Jessica to any family looking for a warm, caring, and trustworthy place for their little one. Thank you for everything you have done for Ari and for our family!

When I was looking for a daycare before my first was born I had no idea where to even start and was terrified of leaving my daugther with strangers. Little Stars was by far the cleanest and most organized of all the daycares we toured. Jessica communicates wonderfully and lets us know if there are any issues. The staff are so warm and loving and know exactly what each child needs each day. Watching my three year old grow there has been a delight. I love that the program is bilingual and she has become very proficient at Spanish. The play based curriculum with lots of singing and dancing has made learning fun and taught her more than I could imagine for a three year old. If you're looking for a daycare you can trust and feel comfortable leaving your kid everyday this is your spot.

This place has seen people like Aretha Franklin and bands like Soundgarden to regular ole peeps like me and my friends doing silly stuff on a Saturday afternoon. Jason was really great to work with. Since we were getting charged by the hour, I was kind of worried that we would go over our allotted time, but Jason did not lag at all! He edited the song as he played it back to us and just made the song so much better without it being too fake or auto tuned. Moreover, I felt like he was a really great listener - didn't shoot down our ideas, but made genuine suggestions. Booking studio time by the hour with him would even be a great idea as a birthday gift. Or if you wanna brunch and sing here instead of karaoke, it isn't a bad idea either! There are couches for your friends and groupies, and we brought our own drinks haha. I am just looking for more reasons to come back!

We absolutely love Little Angels Daycare! My daughter started here when she was just 8 months old,…read moreand it has been everything I hoped for and more. It's an in-home daycare that feels so warm and inviting. They have small student-to-teacher ratio. They cook delicious, healthy homemade meals every day, and I love that I don't have to worry about what she's eating or having to pack a lunch box. The program is Montessori-like mixed-age setup, which has been wonderful for her development. When she was little, she learned so much from the older kids; now that she's older, she gets to be the leader and helper. They hire external teachers that do a great job incorporating preschool-style learning, and her vocabulary has grown so much that we barely needed to teach her at home! It's also like a Spanish bilingual school. She's picked up quite a few Spanish words just from being immersed in the environment, which has been such an amazing bonus. The hours are long and flexible, and the school holiday schedule is reasonable, good for working parents. We feel so lucky to have found Little Angels. It's a nurturing, enriching environment that has given our daughter such a great start. Highly recommend!

Both of my children attended Little Angels from the time they were infants, and it's truly been the most nurturing, loving, and supportive environment we could have hoped for. The teachers are incredible--they know every child so well and treat them with such warmth and patience. One of the things I've always appreciated is how intentional they are with the activities and curriculum. From art and music to yoga and early learning, my kids have grown so much academically and socially. I also loved that the infants have their own dedicated play area--it gave me such peace of mind when my kids were tiny. As they got older, they were always excited to go to daycare, running in with huge smiles every morning and knowing every teacher by name. We've made so many wonderful memories and lasting friendships through Little Angels. It's such a special place, and I can't recommend it highly enough to any parent looking for a safe, caring, and enriching home-away-from-home for their children.
