It must have been one of the most genuine and humbling experiences I've had in a long time for many reasons. First of all, we were greeted by an 80 year old Korean man with the most gentle voice as he stood outside staring out into the barren streets of downtown by Chuckchansi Park. He welcomed us in and asked us if we were looking for anything in particular. After telling him we were looking for a costume wig, he stepped aside and urged us to look around. As for business, he said it's been up and down but has been going down every year. It broke my heart to hear that, especially since he said that there is likely no retirement for neither of them in the future. That is why I have decided to help them however I can by encouraging anyone reading this to help share and visit their shop if you are interested. They sell wigs of all colors and styles made from fake and real hair, starting from $9.99 and up. They also sell extensions of all different colors and styles (glue on and clip on) and fake lashes/underlashes, and both types of glues (dark and clear) which are waterproof. There are also a nice variety of earrings, bracelets and necklaces at unbeatable prices. If you are looking for any of these things to put together some kind of crafty costume or just want to stock up on quality stuff at a steal, please feel free to stop by and check the place out. Giving customers misleading information with confidence is unacceptable, especially when it results in them spending a significant amount of money on products that may not meet their needs. This has been one of my favorite beauty supply stores, which is why this experience was particularly frustrating and disappointing. I also strongly encourage you to make sure your staff is properly trained on the products you sell and has a genuine understanding of Black hair, beauty, culture, and the specific needs of the customers you serve. Customers should feel confident that the people assisting them actually understand the products and the communities those products are intended for. I went to a consult with Lisa re: dreadloc hair extensions. I was told that it would require 80 to…read more100 extentions. At my 1st appt lisa showed me a huge pile of twisted ext. When i said that i requested dreads and not twists she became angry and told me that she had blocked 6 hours of clients for my appt and that twists were exactly the same as dreadlocs. I disagreed and we rescheduled. At second appt she showed me actual dreadloc ext and i was thrilled. About 30 min in i asked for a mirror. When i looked at my right side which she said was "done" there were only 5 dreads. Each ext was coming out of a hexagon with 3" sides ! It looked ridiculous ! I found out that she had only ordered 40 ext even though she told me at consult that the $650 price was due to the fact that my hair was so thick it would require 100. She only ordered 40. I asked her to take them out. She never offered to do it again after ordering more dreads. She never offered to combine the dreads with something else. As i was leaving she said she would issue a refund the next day. The following day i received a zelle payment of $150 ! Both appt fails we through no fault of my own ! Both appt fails were the direct result of her actions. She kept $500 of my payment without even discussing it with ne and now refuses to answer my calls or text messages. Very unprofessional. Borderline criminal actions that cost a single mother of a special needs child $500. I strongly do not recommend.
