She started by asking if there was anything particular I was there for, and she started right a way. I have a high threshold for pain so it takes a bit of effort to apply enough pressure for me to get any relief. I had a 90min treatment and she put in a lot of effort throughout the full appt and I really felt it was money well spent.

Anita is wonderful. She was warm and welcoming. During my therapeutic massage, Anita touched base with me to make sure I was comfortable and at ease with the degree of pressure she was applying. I'm not sure whether I responded audibly or not, because I was rather asleep . And woke up feeling limber, and calm. I received great tips to maximize the benefits of my massage and will definitely be returning for the next.

My massage therapist was Karlo. I got an excellent 90-minute full-body therapeutic massage. The…read morefirst 30-40 minutes were quite intense, as he worked out the knots and kinks from my shoulders and back. If you ask for lots of pressure (as I always do), be prepared to get it as Karlo is a very strong guy. So the first half was definitely more therapeutic than relaxing. The second half of the massage was more soothing, a welcome relief from the deep tissue work. It was great - I think I was zoning in and out because I was so relaxed. The real sign of a good therapeutic massage comes in the next 24 hours. My understanding is that during massage, toxins are released, and they may make you sleepy. I had a really deep sleep that night; it's rare when I don't get up before my alarm goes off, but I was OUT. And during the day I could feel all the areas that Karlo had worked: they were tender, but not painful. I could tell that they weren't tensing up any more. Karlo is a very friendly, highly professional CMT: easy to talk to, and he knows what he's doing. The studio is clean and quaint, fairly typical - and well-located near Sherbrooke metro. I'll definitely go back in the near future.

I liked my time at Espace Nomad a lot…read more The place is on a nice corner of St. Laurent, and the large windows capture every bit of light they can, giving the place an airy feeling. A cafe to your left when you walk in has absolutely delicious espresso drinks, smoothies and - to my surprise - a scrumptious chai tea (I'm not usually a huge fan of chai blends, but this one was GOOD). I love the packages, and was able to get a prenatal massage and a pregnancy-safe pedicure. Both practitioners/techs were incredibly sweet, warm, welcoming and nurturing. The pillows they have for pregnant people make it possible to lay comfortably on your stomach. The massage itself was very light, and since I get regular massages back home, I know it is possible to be with-child and still get a little more pressure, but that is alright: it was still a very relaxing, welcome experience. The pedicurist was so fun to talk to and did a fantastic job of smoothing out my feet and making them sparkle. I would absolutely recommend and will return. I think the prices are very fair as well.

The place has a nice bohemian vibe. I had a 90 min Thai massage with oil and it definitely wasn't the best one I had. I Felt like my masseuse didn't have much experience and wasn't very present ( I have had many massages so I can tell). I would have liked to give them a 4 star but it was far from a 4 star. I still gave her a nice tip even though I didn't really enjoy my massage... If I were to go back, I would try someone else and a different type of massage. Glad I can cross this place off the list.
