I bought a dress from their clearance section (Originally $60.00) for $20.00 and I found that the owner of this gallery printed the dresses on her own. It was one of her paintings, which I thought was ravishing! She explained to me that her merchandise and paintings are all handmade and exported from other fair trade vendors. I bought a $40.00 handmade journal that was made from eco friendly material and ended up enjoying the quality of the notebook's paper. The cover was definitely cooler than some of the other cheaper notebooks I found there too. The fitting room had the cutest door painting, the inside of the fitting room has a comfy bench and I think the floor is carpet. She has Peruvian jewelry and also candles that smell delightful. This is definitely one of my favorite shops of Grand Lakes.

Immediately across the street from the Central City Opera House, the building alone is worth a visit. The friendly gallery manager, Michelle, will happily recount its fascinating history, not the least of which it is the oldest continuously occupied building in Colorado. The front portion of the gallery houses a diverse and affordable collection of works by local artists including pottery, photos, prints, cards, jewelry, wood, fiber art, etc., etc. Many gift worthy items. The rear very funky gallery hosts changing exhibits. I plan to return for the Mile High International Pastel Exhibit beginning April 9, 2022. The pricing is set by each artist but as a whole I think it the items i liked and checked on were well priced. The shop is rather deceptive in that it looks smaller than it actually is. What i thought would be a brief walk through ended up taking much longer and i under estimated the time it would take to view all the art. Sadly, I did not get to look at all the art but on the bright side the next time we are in town i know where to go and to give my self more time to look through the entire gallery. We purchased a piece from sculpture, Janelle Kopp and fiber art from Joanne Hanson. If you're an art lover this gallery should be at the top of your list.

Not only does the art display the talents of locals, but the atmosphere is welcoming and cheery as well. I was told that the artists share the staffing responsibilities, with each coming in once a month. We were able to meet a very talented woman who dyes cloth and weaves. My other favorite art was the pottery bear the front. We enjoyed browsing here, and I would love to go back to add to my art collection. They also have the cutest window displays to draw you in.
