That evening was a true celebration of the hard work, dedication, and artistic growth that each dancer has shown throughout the year. The New York theme brought a wonderful energy, and the entire night felt like a journey through a city of dreams and determination. Bella and I came ready for the night, and in support of her stunning outfit, I embraced my own dandyism -- a style and ethos that speaks to self-expression and quiet confidence. It was a nod to the ways we tell our stories and claim our place in the world, just as the dancers did so beautifully throughout their competitions and long hours of rehearsals. One of the most touching moments for me was when Bella's name was called as the recipient of the Kindest Recognition Award. As her father, knowing that she was honored for her kindness to her friends, dance-mates and her fellow dancers filled my heart with immeasurable joy. It is all we could ever ask for in life -- to see our children not only excel in their talents, but also be recognized for the goodness of their hearts. I was deeply moved to know that she was celebrated in such a meaningful way, in front of her friends, big sisters in dance and mentors. Zena, your vision and attention to every detail made this event so special. The venue was stunning and set the perfect stage for a night of joy and pride. Miss Heather, Miss Vero, and Miss Chiara, your awards and kind words meant so much to the dancers and families alike. The teacher came late and additionally she said that we are going to wait for other kids. Still wait and waste time!! we didn't even know if anyone is coming for sure. I asked why? She wasn't happy with what I said but she took my daughter inside the class and still didn't start the class. The woman at the front desk went inside to talk to the teacher so she finally started the class. Only one more child attended the class later that day. I was afraid that after I said something the teacher is going to be not nice to my daughter, picking on her and that's what happened... my daughter was crying most of the time. Is it a coincidence?? I took her out and said that this was probably our last time here and asked for refund. Couple days later I received an email saying about no refund policy and also saying that my child cut her finger and that's why she cried. Seriously?? First of all I didn't see any cut on a finger and secondly how she would do it. There was only two kids and a teacher. What was the teacher doing??? Also I want to mention that they cannot accommodate makeup classes!!! Their policy includes makeup classes and I called once to schedule a makeup class. They were not able to do it. They suggested to bring my daughter for the older class kids to watch. Nonsense!! I paid for the class, they couldn't schedule a makeup class and they don't refund for the class!!! There's a variety of classes including: HIIT (Zone), spin, Pilates Reformer, yoga, Zumba, TRX and if you want to look at their entire lineup check them out on the MindBody app. The class variety and quality to cost just can't be beat. These are quality classes where there's something for everyone, beginner or novice. I find the classes are always challenging and I've been working out for a while. Yet don't be intimidated if you're new either b/c they do a great job at modifying until you're ready to add that extra weight, rep, whatever it is that you need. As I mentioned before this studio is not pretentious. No one there has to look like silicone Barbie or Ken to give you a good workout or work out beside you. It's a friendly laid back atmosphere, but you'll still get a great workout. The instructors are all great! They teach to their own style, but are always challenging. Stacey is the best Pilates Reformer instructor hands down. I believe she has over 20 yrs of experience. Everyone's always shaking & sweating (sometimes limping, in a good way) from her class. Jimmy is hardcore, like a drill sergeant, but always changes it up and will offer modified versions if you need. Colleen and Darnell are also great and always change things up, so you're never bored. They're both so encouraging, motivating and have the best music. Lastly, regarding the billing when I had any issue (which was maybe once) I'd call or ask in-person. I think sometimes technology & billing can require a bit of a learning curve, so be patient and bring it up if it wasn't resolved to your liking the first time. I find it's likely oversight than intentional because that was the case with me. I hope more great things are to come and that they expand their members, space and classes!
