The New York theme brought a wonderful energy, and the entire night felt like a journey through a city of dreams and determination. Bella and I came ready for the night, and in support of her stunning outfit, I embraced my own dandyism -- a style and ethos that speaks to self-expression and quiet confidence. It was a nod to the ways we tell our stories and claim our place in the world, just as the dancers did so beautifully throughout their competitions and long hours of rehearsals. One of the most touching moments for me was when Bella's name was called as the recipient of the Kindest Recognition Award. As her father, knowing that she was honored for her kindness to her friends, dance-mates and her fellow dancers filled my heart with immeasurable joy. It is all we could ever ask for in life -- to see our children not only excel in their talents, but also be recognized for the goodness of their hearts. I was deeply moved to know that she was celebrated in such a meaningful way, in front of her friends, big sisters in dance and mentors. Zena, your vision and attention to every detail made this event so special. The venue was stunning and set the perfect stage for a night of joy and pride. Miss Heather, Miss Vero, and Miss Chiara, your awards and kind words meant so much to the dancers and families alike. My 7-year-old was asked to leave the room by a teacher simply because he had trouble focusing. I was very disappointed by how the situation was handled. Instead of support, my child was made to feel excluded. I hope Dancer's Gallery will take this seriously and train their staff to be more understanding toward children with attention challenges. read more

Parents be aware of this Dancer studio. This studio does not refund your money even if it's not your fault, just wants to make money out of you. The only good part of my experience is that I had the good opportunity of finding an amazing ballet teacher in this studio during a summer class, she inspired my daughter to love ballet and to take 3 ballet classes weekly, however, she was kicked out of the studio in January by the owner and we had enrolled in this dance studio for the whole year and paid in advance in fall, as it's requested, for 2 costumes for the end of year presentation, for the single reason of the teacher. My daughter was not happy with the new teacher, who she says screams at kids ages 8-12 in the class. So I decided to withdraw her but I was told that the automatic recurring payment was not able to be stopped by that moment of the month, that deadline was on the 15th of the month to stop the payment but the teacher was kicked out on the 17th; was this deliberately planned?. I was aware that I would lose the money for the costume, but my daughter was so unhappy in classes after seeing her so passionate for ballet, that I thought it was not worth it. If you paid for these costumes you have to stay on top of the studio so you can pick it up because they will never call you to let you know that they are ready. The idea of getting a kid in this kind of dance studio is for them to enjoy and learn the art of dancing and we parents make our effort for our kids, however, this place will take advantage of you. I do not recommend anyone who would like their kid to study ballet to enroll in this place. read more

I appreciate that any random troll with an axe to grind can fire up a review on social media, but I wish there was a way to distinguish the noise of crazy bitter people who are strangers to the studio from the regular patrons of establishments with years of experience and honest reviews to share. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dancers Gallery. This gem of a studio has become a loving home away from home to both of my girls for many years!! I have to laugh when I see reviews from trolls making noise. There is simply no conceivable way an actual customer with a brain paying half attention can feel mischarged or overcharged by this studio. Explicit notice and approval is sought before any charge! The prices are extremely clearly disclosed. Ignore any one-off reviews that suggest otherwise. I originally heard of this studio after a particularly nasty hurricane. They opened their doors to the public! Whether you danced there or not and welcomed our cooped up kids with no electricity with open arms to generously share their good luck with quickly restored electricity!! We have attended their aftercare program, their dance classes, their no school day camps, their incredible shows and their summer camp classes. In all the years, we have never had anything less than an excellent experience. This studio is not only dearly loved by my family, but many many other local families as our kids grow up together. True story! My next door neighbor with a sweet dancer on one side tried to refer me to this studio before she knew we already went there!! My neighbor on the other side not only happily sends her daughters there, but also attended the studio herself when she was young! On any given day, my daughters lives are better for their exposure and affiliation with this studio. They learn, they grow, they laugh, they cry, they dance together under the incredible instruction of the numerous amazing teachers and classes they offer. This is my daughter's second year attending Dave classes at Dancer's Gallery and we have been happy WTH the school and staff. She having a lot of fun witch is the most important thing to me, and she's learning. besides the dancing classes, they put together a lot of fun activities for the kids. Initially, my kids wanted to start taking dance lessons and my only requirement was that it be close to our house. Lol They researched and I double checked. And ...that's how we ended up at Dancers Gallery. This was years ago. While the kids have had various interests come and go in various styles of dance, Dancers Gallery has been able to accommodate quite a lot of those interests. From aerial silks classes to breakdancing to contemporary. They have a lot of options. Overall it's been a good experience. read more

Parents Beware! If your child doesn't end up liking the Gallery... I want to start by saying, the dance instructors and staff are all great, pleasant and love to dance. Unfortunately, my daughter started off strong but realized she wanted to go back to her aftercare program at her own school. Some further context; she started off late in September, I called the Gallery Sept. 26th to advise that my child just didn't want to stay, I also spoke to the instructor. She tried one more day, the 27th, and her mind was made up. The Gallery was notified. Unfortunately, the month of October was already drafted from my bank. It's worth noting I also spent $200 on the cloths package (don't do this until you know your kid wants to stay). In conclusion, the owner of the Gallery provided zero credit or zero offer for the entire month that was charged. There was no regard to our own personal situation, only explanation was that policy is policy. I explained that we are not rich and that it was very hard to lose so much. My daughter attended less than 15 days and I am out pocket almost $900! Shame on this establishment for handling their business in this manner, while I understand policy, I am also empathetic to the situations of others and certain scenarios can challenge said policy. It almost feels like I am being punished for giving the Gallery a chance and for my daughter quitting. In my opinion having basic human decency is the backbone of any prosperous environment. They are breeding discontent in their community. And it might not happen today or tomorrow or even the next BUT these ugly deeds will come back to nip them in the butt. COVID TIMES, is it really an excuse for establishments to mistreat customers? NO REFUND POLICY was NEVER stated and should be informed to customers before payment is done, not after. We requested a refund because our daughter did not want to return to this establishment, crying her eyes off, something never seen from her before. My daughter only did the trial class... Several days and phone calls and no resolution, only an offer for her to do her classes online, a joke. Aggravated I went in person to solve the situation asking for the owners and stating I wont leave without my refund, they ask me to leave the building because of COVID even with me having a mask on, and others were inside besides me, and they call the police. What a perfect way for them to stay with my money without any service being provided. read more

Worst. Dance. School. Ever. Would give zero stars if possible. Took my daughter there last year for ballet. After 5 or 6 classes the teacher still did not know my daughters name, and always assumed it was her 1st class. My daughter became I'll shortly after starting and after some medical procedures was diagnosed with celiac disease, so we missed many classes. I called and emailed and was promised an owner would get back to me to discuss a refund for the cake we ordered for the recital (which we could no longer have), and the costume which she never wore, and the classes she could not take due to medical reasons. I called numerous times and never got a response. We have since found another dance school that is amazing, and now I see what a true dance school family is like. Do yourself a favor and don't even walk into this place. Disgusting. read more

Lets start off by the schools instructors are amazing. Which why they get the 1 star. Unfortunately, administration SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS! and it overshadows the teachers hardwork. My daughter has been bullied by 2 girls. For the past 3 months. I verbally complained and nothing was done. Then I sent an email and they "rubbed my back" & told me what any parent wants to hear. They offered me the moon and the stars but I ultimately decided to withdraw her. Gave my 30 day notice. When you sign your child up to the school you are required to pay a hefty sign up fee. Which includes first month, last month and uniform summing up to about $250. In the midst of my 30 day notice I asked for my refund of my last month that was paid at the initialsign up. they basically said they were not going to refund me my money. I proceeded to ask them if they would use my last month (already paid) as credit, they said no and made it very clear they were.charging my last month at the school . and keep the month that was paid at the and on top of that charge me for the month of May. However before doing so the wanted to set up a meeting and said they would "contact me" which never happened. 1 month later. Here I am. These people dont give a fuck about my child, as long as the money is flowing they are good. Think twice before signing your kids up. Read the fine print. Because if they dont fuck you in the beginning they will sure do so at the.end with mo vaseline. read more

Very disappointed with the school overall. Just saw their winter show and it was nothing but a very loud steam room with two little Christmas trees on the side of a stage. It seemed like a day care performance show that was put together last minute. It also seems like the older students are teaching the younger kids. Put your kids in something else that actually teaches them proper technique so your kid can progress as time goes on. read more

The only reason I am giving this place two stars is because of the two teachers my daughter had. They were amazing. This studio is horrible. They are money hungry and expensive compared to other schools in the area and they are not worth the money they charge. The director, Kristy (or however you spell her name), does not care about her students. On two separate occasions I called and asked to speak to her and she never returned my calls. They had someone else call me. What type of customer service is that? Then the day of recital pictures, a bow that was on my daughters costume came off. I gave the studio her costume in the garment bag the Monday before dress rehearsal. On Sunday when we got to rehearsal, they could not find my daughters costume. Luckily, they had a spare. When I picked her up later that day, they could not find a garment bag for the costume. Everyone brushed it off like it was nothing. Day of recital I talked to Kristy and I felt like she had no care for my complaint. Another issue I have is they make you sign in your contract that your student must wear their uniforms. So tell me why there are so many kids that go there and don't. In searching for other dance studios, I found way better schools that do not charge for every little thing and the reviews I have received from parents are better than what parents of Dancer's Gallery has to say. In 3 of the schools I have looked at, I have met parents of students that use to attend Dancer's Gallery. They all feel the same way I do. Beware if you decide to place your kids here. Do your research because there are far better schools. One is Studio 61 which is right next door to this place. read more

Recital on Saturday at Coral Springs Performing Arts Center was absolutely awesome. The dancers from all ages were well prepared, the choreography was stupendous and the timing of all acts was right on the money. The 4-1/2 hours went by in a blink. It was pure entertainment. read more

My daughter has been dancing at Dancer's Gallery for 14 years. We have had the privilege of watching the studio grow from a small studio in a strip mall to the performing arts institute it is today. Dancer's Gallery is not just your neighborhood dance studio it goes way above and beyond. It is a one stop shop for all your performing arts needs dance, voice, theater, cirque etc. The Talent of our teachers is incomparable!!!! Every parent hopes that in their life their child will have a mentor other then themselves. For my daughter it was Christie Stark she has had made a mark on her life that she will take forever. She has taken a piece of each of her instructors with her. I will always be appreciative to Dancer's Gallery for what they have provided my daughter. Dancers Gallery has it all, beautiful studios, it even has it's own Black box theatre , helpful and knowledgable staff at the front desk, an after school program the children love, classes for all ages and levels, a huge variety of styles of dance classes ranging from Ballet, through Hip Hop, as well as silks, singing, acting , piano , it has it's own snack /coffee bar (useful for parents during the wait) and now it's also the home of CAST,,,,, Career in the Arts School of Talent. I had issues with teachers, issues with administration, and I have been out of the school for two months and still dealing with issues. They charged me recital costume fee for an event that won't take place for OVER a year, NO ONE was fitted, NOTHING was ordered and my daughter no longer a student and was not reimbursed. Scam artists! My daughter was not happy with the classes, the facility is FILTHY and they have teens handling front desk with no professionalism. You are expected to "understand" when it comes to inconveniences that they have but then there is no customer service when you need it. The atmosphere makes you feel comfortable to drop your child off at class and run an errand. My daughter would live there if she could!
