My fiancé and I were looking for someone to do our engagement photos when he was told about studio 517 by his coworker! Andy got in touch with us and was absolutely amazing with communication and took my crazy ideas and turned them into beautiful shots. We decided that we wanted to use him for our wedding as well. However due to the current circumstances we needed to change the date, time, and pretty much everything else. We chose to go from a large wedding to a small intimate one (with social distancing of course) and we planned it in ONE WEEK. I really thought I had written a review a long time ago, and just realized I had only uploaded photos. Andy was absolutely one of the best things about my wedding!!! First and foremost, unlike the person I hired for videography, Andy showed up lol! Andy was on time and at the Locks for our first look photos, had my shot list and made sure we have some of the most beautiful outdoor photos. He captured moments I didn't even expect to be snapped that truly captured the emotion I was feeling. He worked great with my family getting us all in the shots I wanted in the alloted time during cocktail hour. He got wonderfully framed photos of the welcome table, cake table, and reception area. As a bride you are dealing with a lot. You have to become an event planner if you can't afford to hire a wedding planner and do all the research you can on your own and trust and hope your selections work out. Studio 517 was worth every penny!! I researched photographers in the Seattle area and what is frustrating to most brides is that you can't usually see prices on their websites, and photographers that charge $2000-4000 always say "investment" next to their prices to help explain the sticker shock. Well, Andy isn't anywhere near that much but he could be! I got 500 of the best photos I could have dreamed of. It is so true, when it's all said and done, all you have are your wedding photos and memories. And memories fade and distort over time. Photos capture the true beauty of your glorious day. I highly suggest to all brides that aren't trust fund babies, or marrying some uber rich tech executive ;) to look into Studio 517. His prices fit our budget and without him, I don't know what we would have done. I am just truly grateful that when I contacted Mariah Gentry about photography services she recommended Studio 517 because she wasn't available. I hadn't come across Andy's site during my searches so I wouldn't have found him on my own most likely. I can't wait until we start growing our family because I've seen his pregnancy, baby and family photo session pics and they look great too! We also got our photos mailed to us within 30 days. We saw 77 photos of our wedding on his Facebook page within 2 weeks that was easily shareable with friends and family! Hiring Andy for our wedding was the best decision! He is an incredibly hard worker and will stop short of nothing to get the right shot. He has fantastic energy but managed to maintain a calm demeanor throughout the entire day which really made me that much more comfortable in front of the camera. Andy arrived early so he could scope out the venue to make sure he got the best shots and angles. He is such a kind person who treated everyone in the wedding with the most respect. Studio 517 posted 100 photos on facebook within a week of the wedding which was a great preview of the beautiful photos to come. Within a month of the wedding my husband and I received a flashdrive (in the most beautiful packaging and presentation) with about 800 pictures on it!! Each and every picture was so beautiful and unique and I can confidently say that Andy captured each moment of our special day. Andy was amazing! From start to finish he was very professional and did an unbelievable job with our engagement and wedding pictures. He is very flexible to changing circumstances and his calm and easy-going nature was refreshing on our hectic wedding day.
