The staff are all so talented, friendly, and caring. They really get to know each student, to bring out their strengths, and come up with new ideas in step with the times. (Come on, a Taylor Swift themed class? My neighbor's daughter had a blast!) The annual art show is breathtaking in the plethora of pieces on show, as well as the variety of mediums and ideas. You can tell that they clearly bring out the best in each artist! Even if you do not have a student's work in the show, it is 100% worth viewing! The school and the teachers have certainly brought out a creative side of him. I love watching how he has progressed over the years. The projects are always fun and he does a great job. There is always something fun and creative going on at the school. Props outside to take pictures for the fall, the Halloween "paint brush" which drops candy into the kids hands. Opted for the blueberry pancake cold brew, along with a piece of banana bread and an egg sandwich with turkey. Food was delivered outside, and I took my pics. The breakfast sandwich is delightful. Everything is seasoned, punchy, and plentiful. The bread was grilled on a panini griddle, but didn't toast. So there wasn't a lot of contrast in textures. But the egg was fluffy, had a cheese skirt, garlic aoli is strong, and the bread is baked fresh. The cold brew was strong, but the cold foam on top mellowed the coffee out and gave it a nice blueberry and yeasty sip. Very similar to a blueberry pancake which the drink is named for. Good but leaned heavy on the cold foam. Banana bread was a bit gummy. Too much banana and not enough flour nor sugar. Not bad, but the weakest bite of them all. Price was high, at about 24 for the 3 items. The quality is worth the price point, and it's a great but somewhat limited breakfast spot for the area. If you want an avocado toast, breakfast sandwich with actual flavor, and wicked strong coffee, then this place does it well. Baked goods can be a bit random in quality, but the savory fare is great

We were told that the refund would be issued within a week. It has now been months, and we still have not received the refund. My friend also disputed the charge through her payment provider, and the dispute was declined. Things happen, and I understand that classes sometimes need to be canceled. However, canceling twice at the last minute and then failing to provide the promised refund months later is unacceptable. They offered painting tricks and tips as needed, and they were very friendly and supportive of all dofferent skill levels. While there was a general instruction, painters were encouraged to use their own creativity as well. It was a great experience, and I would definitely do it again!

The goods and crafts sold at the Arts Center are collected by the owners who have traveled to all these destinations around the world making connections with the artisans . The items here are more unique and vibrant than I see at a lot of boutique craft/jewelry shops and there is usually an interesting story the shopkeepers can tell about where the items come from/who made them. Just perusing the store feels like a trip around the world (or at least Epcot ) and is genuinely fun. Most locals know to come here for their Holiday gifts though I live in Boston and make a point to come every year! The store is typically open only seasonally as owners are traveling much of the rest of the year- so make it happen this Christmas season. Some good restaurants in nearby Willimantic, UConn on the other side, and the subtle beauty of the Quiet Corner of CT makes a stop here a lovely day trip. Check it out!
