With different ownership at the time, the salon had a casual unpretentious feel. I liked the stylists' work and made an appointment on the spot. With their friendly staff and reasonable prices I've been a client ever since. Subsequent shifts in personnel -- Maria, the former owner, stayed on -- I'm very pleased with Innovative Styles. Jen, the proprietor, has years of experience in Connecticut and worked for a popular salon down the road. She gives clients what they want, and when they're unsure, she offers practical suggestions. Innovative Styles is located in the former Winn Dixie strip mall. If you're confused by the signage -- it may still say 'B.G.'s' -- know that you're in the right place. Walk-ins welcome, but since they've got a following, call for an appointment to ensure your spot.

When I met Brian he was very friendly I could see he's very professional & sweet but best of all he is truly a wonderful hair stylist Brian did my hair so quickly & yet such a great cut. I only went in for a bottle spray cut. No fuss no muss for $12 but let me tell you that was beyond & well worth 4 times that I went home and styled my hair myself and saw what I already knew that I had a really fantastic haircut and I was ecstatic! On Thursday I had my hair cut & Colored & She put 4 strands of sparkle in my hair the bill was over $100 & I always give her a 20% tip. 2 Days later I go back to her for her to add a few more sparkles in my hair, which would have taken maybe 10-15 minutes. She says "I am too busy, I got a foil job & a cut to do, sorry." She didn't even ask me if I could wait and she could squeeze me in. Stephanie S. has been my stylist for over 15 years. There were a few years in between when…read moreStephanie was no longer doing hair, and I found Patricia, her previous coworker, and best friend! She opened her fabulous salon, Full Circle Hair Salon, and became my master stylist! You can imagine my concern when Stephanie S., my previous stylist, began working with Patricia. I thought I would have a dilemma, but I did not. These confident women who work so well together let me decide with no lines drawn and no loyalty ties enforced. Instead, I have both to work with me and help me maintain my hair health and personal style. Still, this review is intended to share how much I value my last two visits with Stephanie S. She is a stylist, but her specialty is her talent as a colorist. She is precise and technical with her skill, which she carries out after she has ensured you have shared the color and style you are looking for. Yes, she listens carefully and, in my case, knows better than I do what I am looking for. She has an uncanny ability to understand my moods and needs by what my hair is "telling her." Yes, it sounds a little phony, but I say forget about body language and hello to the natural "hair language!" Every woman knows what kind of day they're having by how that crown on their head feels and looks. So, returning to my last visit, I can attest and share my complete confidence in Stephanie and how she can transform your ideas into reality. She is that good. Take my advice; I have 15 years to support this. Give her a shot; you will not regret it. Stephanie S has indeed mastered her craft. Check her out and see if she can have such an effect that you would take the time to write a review as I have. Thanks, Stephanie, and I will see you in 4 weeks!
