I've been coming here for the last three years. I love the way she gives shape to my hair and clean pedicure.

To whom it may concern (curly haired people might be most interested):…read more I moved to this area 20 years ago. For most of my adult life, I kept a very long hair style mostly due to my natural curl (need to have length for weight for "control" and "stretch" of the curl). It is not easy to find people who know how to cut naturally, quite curly, hair; so when a mistake is made, it is one that must be "lived with" longer than anyone wants to. This is a critical factor. Seeing a nurse for a doctor treating a dear senior friend I'm primary caregiver for, I could see instantly the attention to detail, the talent and creativity, and SKILL on one head of hair. I had to know who did it! It wasn't a style right for me, but it was perfect for this young woman. I have naturally curly but very fine hair and am in my mid-fifties now...so, gray is coming in - some little "shocks" and peppering definitely there, even if hidden under dark brown longer covering the silver bits. My hair was down to my waist when wet before I had enough and wacked it off a few years ago on my own in an emotional need for FREEDOM from the work and time involved in managing all that. Somewhat isolated, and super busy with caregiving, I just cut it myself (with the help in the back of my senior male care-recipient) for years. It was time for balance, evening out, true management and real care for ME. Meeting Crystal, and then THERESA whom Crystal referred me to, was a God-send. Anyone can chop and pop a hat on a head, right? I have been a professional hair stylist and a Hollywood and International level professional as a makeup artist to stars, celebrities, models and actors on every level for 25+ years. Living in this small town and rural area for 20 yrs with a change of lifestyle for my health and more took me far away from access to the "best of the best." Finally, I think I've found a place here where I am listened to, my own ideas and thoughts are respected, and a true collaboration can occur... and it did...and at a fair and "happy" price to all. Theresa accomplished exactly what was needed and wanted. Low maintenance, quick "management" (to almost none), and an ENHANCEMENT of my own hair's natural qualities and assets with a graceful and realistic, practical and healthy focus on such an incidental as "hair" should be to life. I told Theresa I wanted the ability to vary the style according to my mood, situation, the weather and more...all while aging gracefully and avoiding artificial coloring, etc. Well, SHE DID IT. I cannot be happier. I've hired and fired some of the "best hair people" internationally, and so far, with my first experience with Sublime and Theresa there (referred by Crystal, whom I'm so grateful to), I feel I have a safe place to go to for my naturally curly, graying (now) short hair. Hair should not be a "stress" for ANYONE. If it is, the right cut and care has not been applied. My life is complex, and I need a cut and ability to style that will rise to each and every occasion so that I can remain unselfcounscious and stay in true balance. This gives me freedom to focus on what most needs to be focused on, and without having to "check my look in the mirror," which to me equates to vanity - and that is something I abhore. Personal expression should be about an enhancement and honoring of one's natural expressions and gifts - not about artificial, fake and over-done, high-management "styling." Color for FUN, if you will, but not to "cover up" who one is. That's just my sincere feeling. Everyday when I wake up for another day, I'm not readying myself for a presentation or performance - I'm simply presenting an honest expression of who I am for what is needed, and "preening" is NOT MY STYLE. Thank you, Sublime, and Theresa in particular. What will I ever do without you from here on out? LOL! I can write, design, draw it, paint and sculpt, etc., but I have always directed my staffs to impement my directions most specifically where cutting and coloring were concerned (NOT my specialty, as has been design). I could not find people outside of Hollywood or NYC that can meet my expectations and needs, really. Today, I feel differently in Corning, NY with SUBLIME. If you want talent, creativity and and open mind from those who will LISTEN to your needs and listen to and work WITH you to achieve this, Sublime is the place to go. My bet - you will be glad you did. Love, Life and Peace in ALL we do - Wren

I used to go to Sublime some years back when I had a specific stylist. She was great, loved what…read moreshe did with my hair. After she moved out of state, however, I didn't have a great experience. First, it was almost impossible to get an appointment because no one ever answered the phone (it was definitely during business hours). Even though I left messages with my number to call me back I never got a response. One time, when I *did* get through to someone, they told me they didn't know how to schedule my appointment because they weren't the stylist. WTF? I managed to get one last appointment in because I had a gift card and wanted to use it up. The lady I saw was fine but I'll never go back there again because of the previous crap.

I wanna preface this review with saying the night prior to my hair appointment I was at the lake,…read moreup all night and showed up to my appointment with about 2 hours of sleep and fried hair from previous bleaching.... I was the worst client, Kristen did my hair (a beautiful blonde haired woman) and when I was done I had a nice, gradient shadow root as I requested and light brown hair w some purple hues from a toner which would have faded out but I saw my hair In the mirror and how much darker it looked and flipped. I'd like to say due to pure exhaustion and how long I've been trying to go blonde I saw a brunette in the mirror and started crying... ran out of the salon... so embarrassing! I came back in, paid then spoke with the completely extremely kind -hearted owner- Paula and my stylist Kristin. They calmed me down, explained the entire chemical process my hair had been through from previous salon visits to *cough cough ulta* and the process it would go through if they were to fix it to my liking... they spent a total of 5.5 hours from start to finish doing then redoing my hair (3 different stylist helped out after my not so classy melt down) and I left the salon blonde and with more knowledge and tips for my hair then I have even learned after months in cosmetology classes. I really appreciate the above and beyond service. If I had myself as a client that day I would have not only NOT fixed my hair but booted me out the door. Sincere apologies to the sweet and kind owner Paula and all the ladies there and a HUGE thank you. The efforts did not go unappreciated.

It is hands down, the best, at a great price. You can get a couples massage or do a single, I've done a couples massage even with a friend so we can chat for a little, but then we fell asleep anyways. The rooms are softly lit, the ambient music puts you at ease and then you start your massage with the best people. They are so so friendly and focus exactly where you want them to. Legit favorite part is when you're on your back and they do your neck and rub your head, ASLEEP. They work out the kinks, the knots, and answer your questions if you ask. They will keep conversation or just stay quiet and let you rest - whatever you want. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone interested in gifting or getting a massage. You won't be disappointed.

I have been to many massage therapists, and Mark at Steuben Professional is the MAN - and by far…read morethe best I've found. I have been going to Mark regularly for a couple years now and I'm never disappointed. I tend to hold my tension and stress in my shoulders, upper back and neck, and I always leave with my body and mind feeling relaxed, stress and tension free. Mark uses various styles and fluid movements, and applies the right amount of firm pressure where and when needed, plus his hand never leaves your body the entire time. Usually I find myself so relaxed I often teeter on the edge of wakefulness - which is a good thing. The facility is clean, the rooms are clean, and when I walk in the front door the smell is relaxing and calming. Since it's located on Market St, the parking can be a challenge at times, but I've thus far been successful in scoring a spot. Note: I recently went on vacation in Florida and treated myself to a massage which was....comical. The facility was beautiful and clean, but the massage was like a physical therapy session. She jerked and pulled my arms and legs around, twisted the back of my upper arms and then smashed them down on the table repeatedly, and then picked up and tossed my ankles back and forth between her hands. Ugh. I had all I could do not to burst out laughing. It was not the least bit relaxing or calming, except maybe the last 10-15 minutes where she actually used lotion and massaged my body. Although all I could concentrate on was the sound of her flips flops as she walked back and forth to the table to get more lotion. Perhaps this is a new age way of massage therapy, but it's not for me! If I want to have my legs punched and slapped I'll get a pedicure! I highly recommend Mark and Steuben Professional Massage!!!
