We found Photo Express online and Toby had great reviews. Now we know why! Service was top-notch with a genuine care for the finished result. He even used a light reflector screen (placed beneath you) to get a beautiful sheen to your skin! Nice touch. I also loved that he took multiple shots and showed them to you (for approval) before you even leave the chair. I also was impressed with how Toby was able to make us smile naturally with his quick wit and disarming charm. Judging by the fabulous family portraits on the walls, it's clear that he is a talented photographer. It's no small thing to get an entire family smiling naturally but he seems to do it easily! We experienced that without even posing for a family portrait. Passport photos are already dreadful but Photo Express was a pleasure!

When I worked with her, I'm not going to lie I had almost no idea what I was doing. I was by far the least-experienced person on the shoot (the other girls were actual models), but I never once felt awkward or self-conscious at any point throughout. Dishonest , dont expect your refundable deposit…read more I have paid a refundable deposit :£35 on 9th Jan 2023 to book fairy shoot for my daughter.After the viewing session I have confirmed that i will only take the photo that comes free with the deal on 21st April. Since then i have been chasing for my refundable deposit through emails phone calls and personal visit but no success. I felt like duped by groupon and Nicola Bald. I wish it comes with warning that refundable deposit has to be used for any photos enhancement. With the cost of living crisis upon us the last thing we expect is dishonesty and platform like groupon promoting it.

We were promised all would be resolved and they explained what they would do to each photo, we agreed upon a deal and made part payment of £275 on the promised delivery prior to Christmas. After chasing repeatedly with no response we decided as they had not kept their side of the agreement we would cancel and get a refund.... Nicola then tried telling us of the many calls to our mobiles to inform us of a ready date, due to no records on our phones of missed calls on asking for clarification on dates as modern technology records call logs, no further response from them as the calls clearly never happened and this was just another delaying tactic. Do not provide this company any monies unless you have viewed the completed edited photos and have a formal date of delivery in writing! Ours was a groupon elves and fairies deal who refunded their part immediately on showing the timeline of conversation and messages! Would never use or recommend the services of this photographer again.

First off all, she was very understanding of our budget constraints and easily worked out a plan that would benefit both of us. She is super energetic and open to new ideas, and if you are uncomfortable in front of the camera, she immediately makes you feel at ease. Communication was never a problem either, and she was always avaliable to answer any questions we had, at any time. Our engagement pictures were GORGEOUS and amazing quality. I love the fact that she took a more free form way to taking the pictures and it never seems posed or contrived. We met Kasia from Malishka Photography while we were looking for a wedding photographer and decided…read moreto choose her for a number of reasons the photographs in her portfolio were stunning and she put together exactly the package we wanted for an extremely reasonable price (especially by comparison to some of photographers in Edinburgh!) and didn't try to force us to buy other bits and pieces we didn't need. The other big plus for us was that she gave us the right to reproduce the images as we wanted we couldn't believe the number of wedding photographers we contacted who expected to retain the copyright and for you only to get reproductions done by them. What turned out to be a real bonus for us however, as neither of us are big fans of having our photograph taken, was the pre-wedding shoot included which gave us a chance to get used to being photographed, and for Kasia to get used to working with us. Any anticipation or nerves we felt about being in front of the camera were completely removed by Kasia's warm manner and approach and the images she produced for us from the pre-wedding shoot gave us total confidence (and even some excitement!) about having her as our photographer for the wedding. On the wedding day she must have been everywhere but virtually invisible as at no point did she intrude - even our guests commented on how discrete she was by comparison to their experiences at other weddings. The best bit however had to be, without a doubt, the end product and our wedding photographs are absolutely stunning; she managed to capture the feeling of the day and the venue beautifully as well as lots of wonderfully informal ones from the ceremony and reception. She even managed to surprise us by having taken pictures of lots of elements, like our cake and the place settings, which we wouldn't even have thought to have asked to be photographed. Her approach remained flexible even after the wedding and it was no problem for us to add on extra images to our order when we'd seen the proofs as there was too many we loved! Overall we can't thank her enough for capturing our day so well; we wouldn't hesitate to use her again ourselves and would definitely recommend her to anyone especially those put off by half of the overpriced, stuffy professionals you meet at wedding fairs!
