Things about Shan: -she's very professional. If you've made an appointment she will always be on time -she remembers things about you (hair color, length, style preferences). If you want special effects or want to change it up, no problem. She keeps a journal with notes so she can always recreate that cut that you loved! (But she's so good at knowing what I love, she doesn't even need to look back at those notes anymore). I sit in her chair and she does her thing! -she cares about you as a person -- she'll remember personal things about you and will ask if that thing at work or in life is getting better. Going to Shan is like affordable HairApy -- (a great cut and someone to listen) -she's flexible. Shan is willing to come in earlier than normal to fit you in if that works best for your life. Things about the Sensations Salon: -it's perfectly located in the Highlands 1 block from Bardstown and Eastern (across from Mark's Feed Store) -plenty of easy parking behind the salon -the interior and decor is clean, "highlands classy chic". It's upscale-ish, but not snoody -they offer tea, water, coffee for their clients -in addition to hair, they offer massage, tanning and mani/pedi's I was super impressed with the space and wouldn't trust anyone but Shan to do my hair!

When I went in the room, Ashton sat down with her arms crossed and literally said we aren't doing anything. I was so confused because I had been speaking with the manager. Ashton was so extremely rude to me and it was silent in there because this is something they had obvious intentions with. I was so upset and telling the girls up front that I'd be calling back. Ashton for some reason aggressively walks fast towards me like she was going to put her hands on me. I turned around to confront her and told her to back off. What a dumb decision..finding out later from another client that she was fired for doing the same thing to a client at a different place. Just hiding behind all those good reviews. Remember those reviews reflect your work but not who you are as a person. I also had nose filler done only to find out later they are supposed to use an ultrasound to make sure you don't go blind. They did NOT use an ultrasound and he injected me like 4 times and said done. I didn't know what the routine was so you trust these random people. Never again. I've already filed a formal complaint and will continue up the chain because they refuse to respond from their lack of care. I sat in my car for an hour trying to calm down because I couldn't believe what happened. The manager came out and said " I'm sure we can work something out" lol absolutely not. I have had the regular bar facial and they tailor it to you and if you have any issues you'd like them to focus on. The bar facial is done in an open area where other guests are also getting treatments done. If you want a private facial or another service you can pay extra for a room facial or room treatment. I also had the eyelash and brow tint as a bar treatment done in the open area. Demi M. did a great job at both and was very helpful in deciding the shade to go with. She did warn me that my eyebrows could be a little much the first day but after showering the dye would wash off my skin and it would look good. She was right they looked great after and lasted about a month, it was nice to not worry about wearing makeup! The bar facial and treatments are nice because they are cheaper than other spas and salons in Louisville. Bethany S and Alexis A both do a wonderful job with the bar facial. Both are very knowledgeable about the skin and explain each step to you. The inside design is also very cute it looks like a Pinterest board all of the decor is very cute. I did see on Instagram they are moving to a bigger location soon, I can't wait to see the new place I am sure it will be just as pretty inside!

I am stuck looking like this because I went in for under eye filler Jan 3rd, he (Dr Sean McGuire) decided I needed it in my cheek not under my eye. I asked to be seen after extreme pain and no filer under my eye and large pockets in my cheek, they saw me on the 14th and he said as long as you can't see the pain it doesn't matter, I asked if the filler had gone into my cheek by mistake because I do not see it under my eye only in my cheek, he stated "No not by mistake, I put it in your cheek", I said "I wanted it under my eye, not in my cheek at all." He laughed and stated "I've been doing this 18 years I think I know where you need filler." I stayed silent, completely baffled." He offered to put the filler in the place I asked for it initially, I said yes absolutely that would be great, he drew it with a pencil where I wanted it and I agreed. After injecting it I looked in the mirror and saw my cheek was even larger. I didn't know what to do or say and just left and contacted the manager. She stated she did not want me to be unhappy and would like to see me back I said I am literally moving out of state next week and can not come in, and I said quite frankly if I could come in I would not, the doctor was extremely aggressive and rude and would not want him to touch me again. She said to continue sending photos and after day 14 of it does not look better there will be a refund or partial refund or some kind of resolution. Still unhappy with her answer I said okay and kept sending photos, day 14 I sent this photo, both the nurse and the office manager responded, saying it looked great. On day 20 I reached out as I had not heard anything back from them as far as a resolution goes, only how great it looked. I sent this email where I had no response. "Hello, it is now day 20 since I have had my follow up visit where the filler was placed in my cheeks again. My last email I had requested a refund, again and that has not been replied to. I am sending this email to request a refund for the filler that was placed in my cheek Jan 3rd. I was told there would be a resolution on day 14 and it is now day 20. I feel like I'm getting the runaround at this point. I would like a direct answer on this matter. Thank you." On day 25 I called and the office manager stated that I would not be given a refund or any resolution and that they think it looks great and are very satisfied with how it turned out. She said she spoke with the doctor and he would not agree to any resolution. So all this to say, if this is how you want to look, go to Center for Beauty and see Sean McGuire.
