I had met Salvador during the course of trying to repair the exterior of my house. But because I have mixed wood siding and stucco, and Stucco Solutions Specialists only do stucco, I didn't go with Stucco Solutions. However, I had a last minute idea to replace my foundation vents before my paint job. Salvador gave me an estimate based on the number of vents I had and photos I sent him. The next day, Salvador showed up at 8am as promised with his crew of 4 men. I went over the details of what we were going to do (I wanted louvered vents to replace my old mesh wire vents for better water proofing and pest proofing; I wanted to make sure they were going to redo the water barrier before rewiring and restuccoing, etc). After confirming the details with Salvador, I actually offered to pay him more, as I thought it was quite a bit of work (I had 18 vents in total), but Salvador actually was good on our initial estimate. Checked in about 2-3 hours later and all the old vents were out, the rough openings cleared, half of the new vents were in, and a third of the new vents had water vapor barrier and wires in place already. Everything looked great. When I checked in again towards the end, Salvador was actually placing the stucco himself around the last remaining vents. I was impressed because most business owners don't show up for these projects (especially mine was kinda small), much less get their hands dirty. So fortunate to have crossed paths with this company. They did a quality job at a highly competitive (in my humble opinion, unbeatable) price. Thank you!

I am writing a review to recommend Stucco Solutions Specialists (SSS) for your next project. I got quotes from different contractors and found SSS to be very competitive. What made me choose them was the prompt communication and follow through with my questions, and the honest evaluation of what my property needed. One thing that can happen is someone gives a very competitive quote to retain the job, then once in process, finds every way to increase the price as the job moves along. Salvador was upfront in discussing the challenges and allowed us to manage our tenant's expectations for the time and potential inconvenience. Once the job started it was apparent that SSS takes pride in doing quality work. I had not worked with SSS before so I felt like there was some risk choosing them, but after the work started I was assured that quality was their primary goal and their reputation was important to them, not just getting the job done. A stucco job can get dirty but they were diligent in keeping the property clean. Never a complaint. I highly recommend Salvador and Stucco Solutions Specialist and have already recommended them to my sister. I am attaching before and after pictures because they speak to the quality of their work. It was the right decision to choose SSS and I am very happy with the results. You should give them a call, get a quote, and you will see why I am so pleased.

These guys were fantastic. They were on time, polite, and professional. I had a mess of holes and stucco repairs to make, and within a day I had 4 guys working all day to install weep screed, repair damaged portions of stucco, and make my home look like a home again. Salvador takes pride in his team's workmanship, and he worked closely with his team. Their communication was great, I felt like I got a fair price for the work, and I strongly recommend them.

My family and I do not often reach out to share our experiences via a review, but we were so impressed with the work of SSS Plastering in re-stuccoing our home. To say this was the most enjoyable contractor experience my wife and I have participated in would be an understatement. The professionalism starts with Salvador. Simply stated, his commitment to making sure you are happy with the outcome and customer service orientation is a welcomed part of working with SSS and unfortunately, is not common in most business relationships our family has encountered. That is why we recommend Salvador and his team without reservation. The formula is so simple, but so rare, and Salvador delivers to it. He creates open lines of communication, sets realized timelines and cares about the product that he delivers. There are many stories that I could share about his commitment to deliver a strong experience, but I will share one. His team took the precaution of shutting down our gas while doing the demo and forgot to turn it back on. We realized this late in the evening and called Salvador. Many would have said that they would stop by tomorrow. That is not Salvador. He was there within the hour despite it being late into the evening. He was also on the ground daily reviewing the work. The work was excellent (and isn't that what we care about?). The number of compliments from our neighbors and passers by has been the icing on the cake. When you are able to get the professionalism, customer-focus and exceptional craftmanship, it is awe-inspiring because I feel it is rare. SSS and Salvador delivered on all fronts. We have additional work that we invested in on the inside of the house because of how impressed we were with Salvador. Salvador and SSS are a rare breed and, from our experience, we would encourage you to run to his team if you want excellent work and customer-focus as part of the plastering renovation process. From our experience, you will not be disappointed.

You won't find a better stucco team! We're SO happy with the finished stucco work by Stucco Solutions Specialists Plastering. You too will love their work. The pricing is great, the work is top-notch, they clean up after every day, and they are all very considerate, friendly and kind.

    Face-lift complete!

We had our fifteen-year-old 3 story house completely transformed from rough stucco in dark earth tones to totally smooth modern light grey with charcoal grey accents. I could not be happier with how it turned out! Salvador and his team did exactly what was promised, in the exact timeframe promised. The entire crew was polite and helpful. They left the job site clean every day. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

When I first spoke to the owner of Southside Stucco John De La Cruz I liked him. He gave me a price that was good and better than others I had spoken to. This job took 1/2 a day to do and it's a beautiful job. Utterly professional and a straight shooter, really a good guy and I'm so impressed with the work. When painted you are never going to know that a repair was done it's that good. Hire this company that has complete and utter integrity. John worked with us by making a sample to achieve the color request. Workers where respectful, on time, took care of our property and our neighbors. They kept their tools and materials in one area, so we could still have access to our back yard. The job was done with a reasonable time frame to make sure the work was done right. John inspected the work done everyday they were out here. So far no cracks which was our main concern due to prior work done in our house by someone else. Wish we would have come in contact with John 9yrs ago. John and his workers know what they are doing and put a lot of pride in a job well done the first time around. Thank you for that. Enjoyed working with John and workers, everyone was very responsible and reliable. Definitely recommend them for stucco work around your home.

Aston carved out some time on his weekend to come check out the job and provide a quote. He was super upfront about what he could do and gave us recommendations even if we didn't move forward with him. He answered ALL of our questions and made us feel very at ease (especially after working with a contractor that was the complete opposite). Aston emailed me a very detailed and reasonable quote that evening and we hired him that next day. He is seriously one of the best contractors I've worked with (I work with contractors for a living so I've seen the full spectrum of good, bad, and ugly). He is super friendly and VERY communicative. I would rather have someone that over-communicates than under, because it removes assumptions from both sides. The work he does looks really great. He is extremely tidy and cleaned up the areas at the end of every day. He was able to match the old French lace texture we have over a fairly large area. His work has held up wonderfully, especially after the week and a half or rain we just had. Pictures posted are the before, in process, and unpainted finished work. HIGHLY recommend.

OH BOY, STUCCO BOY!…read more I met with Jereme (the owner of Stucco Boy/Builder Boy) to discuss an exterior refinishing project. We've got some TEX-COTE that the prior owners added that is failing and in need of repair. To their credit, Jereme is knowledgeable about TEX-COTE and the company even has a landing page on their website describing how to fix a failing application. They offer services to repair and re-apply, and Jereme mentioned this would be an option for us, in addition to a more involved re-plastering. Jereme said he'd break out different options for us. Despite Jereme's demeanor coming off a bit slick and salesy, them being a local company with experience with TEX-COTE gave me some confidence. I received a proposal that I felt was reasonably priced. Before selecting the company for my project, I had some follow-up questions I asked the office staff via email regarding coordinating the project with other work being done-namely a re-roof project that I'd be undertaking. After a little back-and-forth, Jereme called me directly. I was able to ask my questions about coordination with the roofing company, and he put my mind at ease. He described how the roofing company would handle tear-off and paper the roof, and then Stucco Boy would come in and water blast and prep. He was pretty specific about his recommendations and that fully addressed my questions. He said that I'd be able to put them into contact with the roofer to work out the specifics and "when roofing companies hear that, they are relieved"-indicating to me that there'd be a proactive direct coordination that would help streamline the process. WONDERFUL! After receiving HOA approval for the project, I reached out to Builder Boy and said I'd like to proceed with them. I followed up with a few questions including one about timing and order of operations to coordinate with the roofing and solar to take place (roughly, at this point) in January. The responses I got from the office staff to my questions were different than what Jereme had indicated; instead of coordinating with the roofers, they said that it would be better for them to do their work after the roofers had completed. There was some back-and-forth where I tried to reconcile the differences in the office staff's answers/recommendations of doing work after everything else was done and what Jereme had indicated to me on our earlier phone call. Two days after not hearing anything back, I received a phone call from Jereme. He indicated to me that he'd heard from his team that I was "frustrated" and that I had taken an "aggressive tone" with his staff and he hoped to understand my frustration but also see if there was a path forward. He indicated that he cares about his staff; the implication he was stepping in to shield them from unfair treatment. I told him that I was confused, and asked if he'd read the emails-my hope was to ensure we were on the same page about what my issue actually was and for me to understand what about my correspondence was "aggressive." He replied he'd "skimmed" the email-so I asked him if I'd be able to read it to him--much of my confusion stemmed from what the office staff was suggesting and how it was much different than what Jereme had indicated regarding coordinating steps with the roofing company. He responded "I get it, you're a good guy" as if my primary intent in reading him the email to was somehow clear my name, and he followed up with "I'd rather not live in the past and instead just move forward." Wait, seriously?! You imply I'm mistreating your staff, you're only vaguely aware of what my issue actually is and when I attempt to talk in specific terms about either of those things you suddenly want to "move forward"? I tried to explain to Jereme the disconnect, and how the staff's recommendation wasn't what he and I had discussed earlier, so I was confused. He said "it can be done either way" and "it's up to the customer"- but kept insisting that his staff was correct in their suggestion without acknowledging it was different than what he himself earlier had suggested, and that was the source of my confusion. The whole time it felt like Jereme was trying to gaslight me, and whenever I tried to be specific about our conversation or clarify what my issue actually was, he'd deflect and say dismissively "it's up to you; just tell us when to show up and we'll be there." I was pretty floored at this point and couldn't shake the feeling that I was getting hustled by this guy. I knew that as he kept insisting he wanted to "move forward" without actually talking about the nature of the problem, it was a sign that this wasn't the kind of company, and Jereme the kind of person, I could trust. So I calmly told him that it was clear to me it wouldn't be a good fit, he said "OK," and that was the extent of my experience with Builder Boy. Jereme: because you didn't bother reading the email exchange before, I posted it here for your convenience.
