While we didn't end up getting stucco work done, I had to write a review for Salvador - we got a few competing quotes for stucco refinish & also weed screed (not sure if I spelled it correctly) as we had some moisture concerns. Salvador was one of the few that responded promptly and came by for an estimate. He was professional, on time & his prices were very fair - there was no BS. Based off other Yelp reviews too, I knew he probably would do a great job. While we ultimately went with a close trusted referral who gave us a better price - we 100% would've went with Salvador and his team had we not had the other option. And just for comparison & speaking from personal experience - If a contractor is sitting you down and giving you a few hours "consultation" to try to convince you to choose them & pulling out all the sales tactics in the books (""discount"" if you book today) - RUN - they will most likely charge you 2x!!! the normal price. I had met Salvador during the course of trying to repair the exterior of my house. But because I have mixed wood siding and stucco, and Stucco Solutions Specialists only do stucco, I didn't go with Stucco Solutions. However, I had a last minute idea to replace my foundation vents before my paint job. Salvador gave me an estimate based on the number of vents I had and photos I sent him. The next day, Salvador showed up at 8am as promised with his crew of 4 men. I went over the details of what we were going to do (I wanted louvered vents to replace my old mesh wire vents for better water proofing and pest proofing; I wanted to make sure they were going to redo the water barrier before rewiring and restuccoing, etc). After confirming the details with Salvador, I actually offered to pay him more, as I thought it was quite a bit of work (I had 18 vents in total), but Salvador actually was good on our initial estimate. Checked in about 2-3 hours later and all the old vents were out, the rough openings cleared, half of the new vents were in, and a third of the new vents had water vapor barrier and wires in place already. Everything looked great. When I checked in again towards the end, Salvador was actually placing the stucco himself around the last remaining vents. I was impressed because most business owners don't show up for these projects (especially mine was kinda small), much less get their hands dirty. So fortunate to have crossed paths with this company. Salvador did an incredible job of removing my home's siding and replacing it with stucco. I had originally awarded the contract to a different contractor. Unfortunately, that contractor was not working out, so a friend introduced me to Salvador. Salvador was a true professional. He has a no nonsense demeanor and is laser focused on completing the job on time and within budget. From the very beginning, Salvador explained what his plan was and let me know, step by step, how he was going to complete the job. There were no surprises, and he even let me know when he would staff down (and why) and when he would staff up with additional people. One part that I greatly appreciated was that Salvador had absolutely no fear of the permit process and inspectors. Other contractors would shy away from pulling permits. They would either try to find a workaround or ask me to pull the permit myself. Salvador confidently told me that he had never failed an inspection, showed me his contractor's license number and told me not to worry - and that's exactly what happened.
