Would never recommend this dealer to anyone. Ever. Went here wanting to purchase a side by side and a four wheeler. From the minute we sat down it was sales pitch after sales pitch, "you aren't going to any better anywhere else", " all other dealers are lying about their prices", "this is the best you're going to do" etc with the occasional smart remark thrown in. This went on for three hours before we decided to just leave. Having worked in a car sales environment before i recognized all the sleaze ball tactics. If you have to trash other dealers it's usually because you have very little to offer yourself. Fast forward three days, we go to another large dealer in Houston. Get the exact same year and model side by side, out the door for $1,400 less than Stubbs best offer, one model level up four wheeler out the door for $600 less than their best. They had also told us Honda wouldn't finance both machines, well guess what? The other dealer got it done and at a lower interest rate. this was also all done over the phone. No back and forth no ridiculous trash talking just done. Here ya go here's what we can do and it's our best. Don't waste your time here. They have an old school dealer mentality where their goal is to get absolutely every penny out of every customer that walks through the door. Went in and got a few aftermarket parts for my bike; the staff was very friendly. I was greeted at the door with a nice "welcome in". Before I reached the service desk I was being asked how my day was going and got offered help with any questions I may have had. Bought LED undercarriage lights and I was offered for them to be installed in the store for a low price but I opted to install myself. Fantastic service; will return. read more

Ordered Lens took two weeks no call, stop by to check on order only received one. Was told I'd get a call back when order came in. Two more weeks later still no call. Stopped by and checked again. My boyfriend and I stopped into Stubbs on Telephone rd a couple weeks ago on a Saturday around 4pm. We were greeted by Eric. He was a super enthusiastic and extremely helpful. My boyfriend and I had only been riding twice and were trying to find out about some cruisers. Eric directed my boyfriend to some used bikes that he was interested in. I wanted a starter bike. By the time that we had looked and asked all of our questions, I was ready to buy (My boyfriend was still reluctant). By this point, it was already 5pm. They were closing. I then told Eric that I would buy if they could deliver that same day... Eric met with his sales manager- Ivan to see if it was possible.. By this point my boyfriend and Ivan had easily negotiated a deal on a used 2009 Suzuki Boulevard M50. My boyfriend couldn't refuse the deal. I'm not sure how Ivan convinced his guys to inspect, wash and deliver these two bikes, after hours, but he did. Tommy and Kenny were awesome. As we worked on the finance part, they both prepped and delivered the bikes, well after close. The best part of the experience was probably dealing with Paul the finance manager. He had to quickly work out two deals after hours on a Saturday. They all delivered, and beyond expectations. The experience went past the initial day, and I'm still in disbelief about how they tend to their customers needs. We both are loving our bikes and look forward to taking our classes at Stubbs. We went to so many shops before checking out Stubbs. As soon as we walked in we were greeted, but we were never hounded by sales men. We ended up going back to Stubbs a few days later to buy two scooters. AJ was AMAZING and answered all of my questions and worked with us until we were comfortable with the price. Never once did he make me feel like we were being pressured and actually the whole process was more like buying from a friend. Paul was equally as awesome when it came time to signing all the paperwork and made what is usually the worst part of buying enjoyable. This dealership was a refreshing blast from the past. Take it from someone who's been in the auto industry 25+ years, not everything new is improved. I dealt directly with the floor manager, Rob Smith who Believe it or not he was the one who answered the phone when I called about a GSXR 750 they had on the showroom floor. Love a working manager as I was the same at my job. Rob was extremely personable and made me feel at ease immediately. Upon arrival, the same manager, Rob met me, shook my hand and explained all of my options of purchasing the motorcycle. I was not handed off which was really nice. We had walked outside for a moment and Rob and the owner of this location, Jerry had a smoke break. Rob took the time and had the consideration to introduce me to the owner who was another breath of fresh air. Friendly, down to earth real people who give off a genuine vibe of integrity. Again, this was like rolling the clock back a decade or 2 (back when the car business was fun) and it's nice to see that corporate America hasn't reigned supreme in every corner of the market yet. All this AND they had the best price of the 3 dealers in the Houston area who had a GSXR 750 in stock. Keep it how it is and if you ever want to expand and open a facility anywhere north of Houston, (the woodlands, Conroe, Huntsville, Humble etc) keep me in mind. Vanessa went out of her way to show me websites she's familiar with to help me find the parts I needed. She even printed out a quote with parts number to help me accurately search for my parts. Her amazing service didn't end there....She convinced one of their busy mechanics, Micah, to come out and speak with me. After hearing my mechanical issue, Micah helped pinpoint where the problem most likely was. While other dealer said it would take a week to get a part(oil filler plug), they went the extra mile and managed to snag one that day. Most likely pulled off an un-servicable bike but it worked. Had a great first time buying experience with these guys. Leo was very communicative, helpful, and kind during the sale process. Really enjoyed working out a deal with Leo and his sales manager. Very reasonable and fair and they made me feel as though there were being fairly genuine. I appreciated the overall effort for customer service throughout the store. Only thing I would say could have been better is the payment process. While I understand that warranties are something people want and that the finance person makes commission on, I felt it was pushed a little too hard. Might help to have the sales guys bring it up while negotiating the bike price so that it doesn't feel so tacked on. Could also have been my fault for not being clearer about my intentions. Either way, a really great experience so I'm giving 5 stars. Would recommend to friends looking to buy a bike. Haven't had experience yet with the service or parts departments. read more

I'd mark it lower if I could. Salesman offered me 3k for my wing and I traded it the next week for 8.5k. Then even though I had financing I let him talk me into applying there and they sold my info. I've gotten a dozen calls a week, some from china wanted to give me a car loan. To make matters worse the bike I priced there was 4 k cheaper in another Houston shop. read more

We got ripped off big time! Did the bate and switch on a tire. When we called the said they had the tire we needed for about $90. We arrived and somehow they didn't have that tire anymore but had one for over $170. When we complained, manager became unprofessional and aggressive. We had to buy the tire or ride off without one so we bought it. Funny, when the bike was finished we noticed they had opened the gas tank. I told my friend to start his bike, it wouldn't start. A battery he bought the day before was now dead. I don't know what they did to the bike but it's still not running like it was when we brought it there. I went to Stubbs even though they are not the closest dealer, because I could not find the motorcycle I was looking for in my part of town. I did call first and spoke to a cheery fellow named Neil who answered my questions directly and plain. When I got to the dealership, they were about to close but Neil helped me narrow my selection to a single bike that fit my budget and riding style. I went back to sign the papers and pick up my motorcycle after the weekend, and the bike was washed and clean and ready. The service guys were very freindly and gave me a full tank of gas. When I explained I was a little rusty, having not rode a bike in a few years, Neil volunteered to deliver the bike to my house. It was a real treat doing business with Stubbs I will be back and I recommend them to my freinds. read more

The Honda service department is firmly on track to get someone killed one of these days. Assuming these are the same people who prep the inventory for sale, good luck purchasing bikes, too. I brought in my bike for repairs after being backed into in the parking lot. When the work was done (a month later), as I was stopping in a traffic light on my way back home from the service, the shift linkage rod fell out of the mount - just like that, I look down and see it on the road under my freely dangling shift lever. It is only by accident (no pun) that I didn't take the highway back home that day, and that the linkage fell out on a red light instead of at 60 mph: normally I would but there was a long jam on I-610 that day due to construction and I decided to go around. But even simply having to push your bike from the middle of a wide and busy city road is neither fun nor safe. Forgetting to tighten the linkage was not the only sign of sloppy work that I noticed: there were also some electrical wires not affixed to the fairing the way they ought to be. These are just the problems I discovered during my 10-mile ride out of the shop - obviously there's no way to be sure nothing else is still waiting to happen. Apparently I was being charged $90/hour for labor on this job. Besides sloppy workmanship there also seems to be a general attitude of not taking the job seriously. Speaking with various people in the service department I was told that "everybody makes mistakes" and "we're human" and "it happens". I question if these people display similar magnanimity themselves if, say, a surgeon patching them up (maybe after their bike fell apart under them due to a careless repairman) forgot to reconnect a blood vessel or reattach a muscle - "oopsie!" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ In a business that handles equipment where breakdowns can and do cost people their lives, such dismissiveness doesn't strike me as adequate attitude - not from employees and especially not from the manager (quoted above). read more

Horrible experience. They told me , to fix up my 2004 ruckus would be MAX $250 , took it in and they called to tell me the same exact thing, listed the same parts, but with a $800 price tag. I am not paying for work on a scooter that isn't even worth the price to fix it. They could've been honest and just let me know that it could have cost more to fix. I hope you never have to service your bike here. These people have lost all business from my friends and family. I hope that their bait n switch was worth losing lifetime customers. And also their last mechanic was fired because the owner tried to force him to overcharge a customer and he gave him the fair price instead. The saleman Neal was friendly and patient, he answered a lot of questions and was really good at listening to what I wanted. The service at Stubbs was terrific, Iam really glad I went there. I bought a preowned Gold Wing and Neal even delivered it when it was ready a few days later. That's my only criticism, the bike was not ready to deliver the same day.
