Despite being slightly apprehensive about being in front of the camera, Andrew made the shoot a lot of fun for us. He dealt with the added challenge of having our dog tag along like a true professional, and he took some great pictures of our pup as well. I greatly appreciated his skill in taking both posed and candid shots in the outdoor setting. I would highly recommend him for his ability to truly capture personalities in people and pets!!

He will give his input, and has access to different professionals such as hair and makeup people at your request (for a separate fee). Philip is worth the visit! Of course, for such an investment, you will need to take the time to have a consult with him, tell him what you expect and bring outfits. I initially found Sam while browsing social media for potential wedding photographers about a year…read morebefore our wedding. I'm personally not a fan of the stereotypical glammed out wedding photos where a lot of hair/makeup/etc is required, and was looking for someone who could take more artistic, unique photos for us. So glad we found Sam, his work caught my eye from the start and as he continued to work with us through engagement photos and then the big day, it became super clear that he is an experienced professional and was the perfect fit for us! Neither my husband (still weird to say haha) nor I are easily relaxed in front of a camera, so it was pretty nerve wracking for us to even think about getting professional photos taken where we didn't look like hot messes. However Sam's super calm demeanor and clear direction made everything feel so easy. The day of, we had about 40 people for photos in a variety of spaces at the St. George Botanical Gardens in the US Virgin Islands, and Sam did an amazing job at crowd control. There was no sense of anxiety or rushing even though it's so hard to direct such a wandering large group of people. He was also totally open to the ridiculous poses we wanted to do for fun. We never felt any pressure to stand in or pose in places that felt difficult or unnatural for us. I also really appreciated his attention to detail during the shot setups, I'm sure something he's developed into second-hand nature through his career thus far. Sunglasses and purses were all appropriately out of view, boutonnieres and were perfectly in place with his direction, and we got some crazy artistic shots of us utilizing the colors and shapes and textures around us so well. Ultimately, it was his unique techniques that resulted in absolutely stunning and mind-blowing photos that are so cool to have for the rest of our lives. While Sam's work speaks for itself, we really had such an enjoyable experience having such a wonderful photographer who wasn't too intrusive but firm enough with herding our crazy friends into place to get the best shots. Without us even really noticing his whereabouts throughout the day, he gave us over 1000 absolutely fantastic photos from our wedding day and he worked solo with minimal equipment - really goes to show how his work is seated in pure skill. Several of our friends are already expressing interest in hiring him for their weddings in the future, and I'm also thinking about what future events we could have him join us for again.

My biggest goal…read morefor this project was to create an experience where a group of breast cancer survivors could feel confident and beautiful, and Damon went far beyond anything I could have imagined. I came into this project still figuring out the vision, and after sharing just a bit about my goals, Damon took it and ran. His creativity is unmatched and he brought forward a vision that was more powerful, intentional, and meaningful than anything I could have come up with on my own. What impressed me just as much was how prepared he was. Damon had clearly done extensive research ahead of time, thoughtfully planning each location and even specific poses for every individual. The entire shoot flowed seamlessly, which made such a difference in creating a comfortable, uplifting experience for our survivors. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he is professional, dedicated, and truly cares about the people he's working with. If you are in the DC area, don't look any further -- just book Damon. He is truly the best of the best.

We had a candidate withdraw their acceptance of their new job, and so we informed Sam a month in advance that we no longer needed his services. He let us know that he "cannot issue refunds" even when work is not rendered. This was written nowhere on the invoice he sent us. Upon review of his website, I see it is buried in his terms and conditions page. Why someone would choose to do business this way, I have no idea. I could not in good conscience take my customers' money and then refuse to refund it even if I performed no work. Sam feels differently.

I am also a customer, Bill took my Professional headshot for work. He made me laugh, gave different angles to pose to, and I immediately got to see what shots he took.
