Worst experience with a Dr that I ever had. With any doctor! He did not listen to me when I "tried" to explain what I was feeling in my foot. Cut me off every time I tried to speak. Gave me a foot brace and billed insurance over $200 for it (just saw it at Walmart yesterday for $22). I actually went for a follow up with no good results to give. Again, he would not listen and I ended up with a cortisone shot and told to buy his expensive orthotics. He told me my issues are from a bunion, flat feet and tight tendons. I left both appointments almost in tears from frustration of not being able to tell him what my foot was feeling. He kept cutting me off. I also felt uncomfortable because of his flirting. Maybe he was trying to be playful but I wasn't there to play. I went to see another doctor last week and it was so refreshing. He took his time and listened to me. I got to look at my X-rays and even saw that my bones were aligned - bunions were not even a minor issue! He sent me to the store to buy $8 metatarsal pads that I have been wearing and seems my pain is alleviated. Dr Feldman wasted my time, didn't help with my issue and overcharged insurance. Today I called this provider to determine if they accept my insurance. "Laurie" (spelling?) answered the phone, did not know if this provider accepts my insurance, but she wanted to make an appointment for me regardless. I told her it didn't make sense to make an appointment if I don't know if this provider accepts my insurance. She said "good luck" and was ready to get off the phone with me. I pointed out the bad customer service on her part and asked if Stuart Feldman would be interested in knowing if she's turning prospective patients away. He is wonderful. He saw my father (now 90) for a few years before my regular doctor recommended I get exams due to my diabetes. He prescribed a foot lotion for dryness and always asks if I used it; when I say "no" he gently prods me to do so. I started right after last appointment and the soles of my feet are getting better -- no cracking and bleeding. Dr Feldman is wonderful! I don't usally enjoy medical appointments but he's so much fun...it's like going to a comedy club! Dr Feldman is also an excellent podiatrist, has treated me for plantar fasciitis and trims my toenails too! A conservative practitioner, he only suggests surgery as a last resort (unlike some podiatrists I've seen in past) and tries to save the patient $$ whenever possible. I am SO happy I found Dr. Feldman!! I had seen numerous podiatrists before finding him, who were unable to diagnosis the pain I was experiencing in my toes. Not only did Dr. Feldman see me right away, but he diagnosed me and did the procedure the same day. He talked me through the whole procedure and I was fully healed within a couple weeks. This is a great place to go if you enjoy dealing with a completely incompetent office staff who are incapable of satisfying the requirements of the pharmacy in order to get your prescription filled. I called the office three times last week and each time they said they would get it taken care of. I just called the pharmacy and they still do not have the preauthorization from the doctor's office. I have waited almost 2 weeks after having my procedure done to write a review because I wanted to see how I felt. First let me tell you that Dr Feldman's office staff is top notch and he treats them as if they were gold... which they are. I was an "add-on" for the day but got in promptly.. no waiting. Dr Feldman gave me options as to treatments. He was so nice, humorous, very chatty and pleasant. At first I declined treatment for that day but as I was leaving, I had a change of heart and just wanted to get it over with. Dr Feldman was so nice and understanding and had me ushered back in and he completed the procedure within 20 mins..... explaining everything he was doing and making the experience as pleasant as was possible. I have a follow-up appt with them in a few days and am also bringing my husband along for a consult. This will be my foot doctor from now on! read more
