**NICE CLASSIC CITY GOLF**…read more PARKING Parking can get crowded, even on weekdays, so be prepared to park a little farther away and walk to the clubhouse. Arriving early for tee times helps. PRICE For Los Angeles, the rates are very reasonable and one of the better values for an 18-hole municipal course. Rancho Park 18-Hole Rates * Weekdays: $42 * Weekends/Holidays: $53 ($58 before 9:00 a.m.) * Twilight: $28 weekdays / $35 weekends * Super Twilight: $19 weekdays / $24 weekends Additional Fees * Electric cart: $11-$18 * Pull cart: $8 (18 holes) / $5 (9 holes) 3-Par Course (9 holes) * Weekdays: $12 * Weekends: $14 COURSE Rancho Park is a classic muni course located right in the middle of the city. The layout is fairly forgiving for beginners but still enjoyable for more experienced players. The fairways are generally in good condition and the greens are usually well maintained and roll true. Hole 4 is a personal favorite. One unique feature is the constant overhead airplane traffic from nearby Santa Monica Airport, which adds a fun and very "LA" atmosphere during your round. OVERALL This is one of the most convenient courses in LA and a great place to get a round in without leaving the city. It's only about 10 minutes from home for me, and it's easy to get paired with friendly golfers from all over LA. The course is affordable, accessible, and consistently enjoyable. A solid 4/5.

The idea for the indoor range is pretty cool but it would nice if the owners trained their staff to be more attentive to the people who give them revenue, especially since it's more expensive than the regular range.

I believe bays 1-3 use the Golfzon GDR Max and bays 4-6 use the Foresight Quadmax. The two private rooms have the Golfzon technology where there are different hitting surfaces and the floor will shift to match where the ball landed. It's a fun experience for a foursome. Everyone working here is so nice and also provide tips. I'm a golf newbie so I appreciate that. There is a cafe next door. You can order and pay from the cafe in Supar Golf using the kiosk they have set up. Once your order is ready, you get a text and you can walk right over and bring everything back to enjoy. He will work with whatever swing you have and make you a better, more consistent player. The technology they employ -- launch monitor (with all the data you could want: spin rate, launch angle, club head speed,, approach angle, etc.), and video (front and down the line with real time measurements of all relevant body angles) -- is so helpful in translating feel to what you're actually doing in the swing. And Jack is expert in focusing lessons to take you through a process that produces your best swing. My index went from 13 to 8 in the 6-7 months I've been working with Jack, and I think I can get to 5 (or better) with some work on my putting. I compress the ball better and hit more greens. My misses are better. You have to put in the work: but if you're willing, Jack will help you get there. I highly recommend Jack and all the guys at GOLFTEC WLA.

I arrived just after 1 in the afternoon and the parking lot was pretty full. Ok, Friday I get it. Then once you get to the balls station, there was also a line. Also it was a first time seeing them refill the machine after collecting all the balls. And then you have the range, every single slot was occupied. That was a rare sight to see. It's alway easy coming here and there's alway a few open spaces but this day, completely packed. People left their clubs behind each spot to reserved their place until the individual was finished. It was about a 10 minute wait till the space was available. But throughout the whole time, the place was still busy with people waiting. That was for both the covered spot and non covered. Of course you have to head over to the clubhouse for a nice cold one afterwards. That too was quite busy on the patio. They served food, snacks and alcohol. It ls a nice spot for a quick load up on snacks and drinks for the course. Or a a nice cold drink afterwards. It's a nice neighborhood course and range. Plenty of parking which is a plus.

Only positive was that the carts had ranges to the hole so I didn't have to keep guessing.

Bobby is an incredible instructor who has taught me so much, and genuinely cares about my progression and growth. I have become addicted to the process because of him. For years I had a nasty slice that would pull my ball roughly 40 yards which Casey was able to fix within one or two lessons. As our lessons progressed, I began hitting all of my shots straighter with better accuracy and gained a significant amount of distance on all my clubs. This led to me immediately scoring lower and making the game more fun as I went from a 30+ handicap to shooting in the 80s. Casey was patient with me during every lesson and always gave me something to work on or try when I would practice by myself. For someone that was a beginner like me, he kept things simple and gave me little things to think about that eventually led to my swing dramatically changing and improving. If you want to get better at golf I strongly recommend going to Casey. You won't be disappointed!
