They have ministry available to all ages on Sunday and many opportunities to be involved throughout the week as well as in the community. Whether you live in Arizona, are passing through, or are looking for an online church I recommend you check out Impact. Also if you have never been to church or are looking for a new home Impact may be just what you are looking for or need. Ok where do I start?…read more...... I learned about New City Church through one of my co-workers. I was actually looking for a "fresh wind" type of worship and fellowship experience as I searched for a new church home. This past Sunday I decided to see what New City was all about. I was absolutely overwhelmed by how welcoming and attentive the members are there. I was sitting at one of the tables near the coffee bar (Yes, there is a coffee bar inside of the church!!!! I know AMAZING right??) and one of the Welcome ministry staff came right over to greet me and even gave me a tour of the church. Instantly, I felt right at home. The worship experience was awesome, lots of praising and teaching in a loving, accepting and inviting environment. The service progression was actually explained so that new members or those that are new to the faith would understand. But there's more..... If you had an interest in the church your questions were answered right on the spot! This church has about a dozen different ministries to choose from, so I'm sure there is a place where you can fit right in! In addition they have an art gallery....yes an art gallery!!! And you thought the coffee was the bonus :) every first and third Friday an event is held to showcase local artists. How cool is that????!!!!! I challenge you if you are looking for a church home or someplace other than your home church to visit New City Church is the place! I had an opportunity at the end of service to go up and meet Pastor Brian. I was so thrilled that I told him he would definitely see me for the rest of the year! I have gone to the women's retreat in Williams in March and it was the most encouraging experience. This is a conservative church and it feels very familiar to the baptist church I was raised in. As a young person in their 30s I find the messages relatable and encouraging in my walk with God. I spent several years in Phoenix looking for a church before coming to this church. I enjoy the main pastors Jaime and Rustens messages as well as the guest pastors they have speak. There is a very pleasant Christian bookstore/coffee shop located on the premises.

I visited a few other churches was well but Grace just felt at home. It's a bigger church and the services are held in a pretty big two level auditorium. However, the staff and volunteers were really welcoming without being too pushy. The sunday service is lively without trying to hard to make worship feel like some sort of concert. Plus Lead Pastor Des Wadsworth is great speaker. Definitely a good church if you're looking for a mainline Evangelical Christian church.

Then right before the message started we had a staff member come and publicly embarrass us in front of others around us by saying we must leave right now due to our dog. Coming in we were welcomed with our dog explaining that he is an emotional support animal and that he has just had surgery 2 days prior. We are unable to leave him at home due to his 6 staples in his leg. Instead of the team coming up with a solution they just kicked us out. I asked if I could speak to someone about this and they quickly declined and didn't even give us another option. We weren't allowed to listen to the message not even outside we just had to completely leave the premises. Walking out the door there was an 8 person team standing there waiting for us to leave like we were some threat and they just watched us walk out. How embarrassing. To say we are extremely saddened and disappointed is an understatement. Every other church we've gone to with this 7lb puppy has never had a problem. Safe to say we are not welcomed back here unfortunately. Such a bummer. I would seriously not recommend a church less. How awful you have no solutions and you're not allowed to speak to anyone, you just don't care about your guests and kick them out. Because of this expiernce its affected us going back to church in general that we will be kicked out again at another church and caused us to feel as if someone is always watching to judging us like they did here. Super unfortunate And unprofessional.........

Disappointed this year. 4th time attending Christmas show and likely our last. People behind us…read morewere unaccompanied teens that made fun of the show loudly the entire time, even after being asked to stop. The family next to us had 3 young kids that kept running up and down the stairs, until one eventually face planted from 4 steps up. Parents were too busy filming the whole show at full brightness on their phones to care. Letting a 5 year old run around steps and fall at balcony level is such a lawsuit moment. Apparently, no ushers were stationed near here or they just didn't care to do anything. Tried to get hot cocoa to calm myself but told they ran out of that before the show even started. Add to this, someone decided it was a great idea to sell popcorn in paper bags and let it be brought into the theater. So these teens were also crinkling bags non-stop in our ears. We were second seating area up, and that makes your head at crotch level with the person behind you. It was so constant, I wondered if it was on purpose. The boy behind me kept putting his feet on my seat arms too. I really started to wonder if these were Church kids given free tickets. Why else were they there unaccompanied and thought it was funny to talk bad about every performer? Cannot tell you if the show was any good, since I was able to hear almost none of it and we left early due to this all.

The environment was welcoming, and our kids became heavily involved in several of the church programs. At first, we truly believed we had found the right church home for our family. Unfortunately, after our family experienced a very serious and personal situation involving one of our children, we reached out to the church seeking support and guidance. During that difficult time, we hoped for some level of care, follow-up, or even a simple check-in from someone within the church community. Sadly, we did not receive any response or outreach from church leadership or members. I even met personally with the pastor at one point and shared that we were hoping to find a church that would stand beside families not only during good times but also during difficult seasons. When we later reached out asking if the church could simply provide a letter acknowledging our family's absence due to the situation affecting us, we again received no response or support. Another disappointment was that after signing up for various church programs, the primary communication we received consisted mostly of promotional emails encouraging purchases or sign-ups, rather than meaningful engagement or community support. This experience has been very disheartening for our family. While we appreciated the involvement our kids had early on, we ultimately feel that the church did not stand by the values of community and care that it promotes. Because of this, our family has made the difficult decision to stop attending and will be searching for a church that more closely reflects the support, compassion, and accountability that we believe a church community should provide. I sincerely hope that in the future the church places greater emphasis on following up with families who reach out for help during difficult times.
