This church has been such a light in my life. I stumbled across Reclaim Church about a year ago,…read moreknowing very little about God and feeling very uncomfortable walking into churches, even though I deeply wanted to grow closer to Him. From the moment I stepped into Reclaim, it felt like home. Every sermon teaches me something new about the Bible and Scripture. The pastors do an incredible job breaking down God's Word in a way that is easy to understand, relatable, and applicable to real life. They don't just teach, you're challenged to think, grow, and truly live according to Scripture. You can genuinely feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in this church. Reclaim has played such a huge role in bringing me into a strong, meaningful relationship with God, and I am forever grateful for this church and its leadership.

Let me start off by saying; If you are looking for a structed foundation to grow in Christ,…read moreestablish great fellowship with church members, this is not the church for you! The sermons are short 20-25 minutes at best, and with no substantial teaching of God's word, but will hear the Pastor(s) talk more about them, inappropriate jokes and wearing "shmedium" shirts, comical rather than Godly. This is more a beginners 101 class. As far as discipleship goes, there is none. Baptism is held once a year, Bible study consist of watching a video and trying to figure it out on your own. The "fellowship" outside of the church is playing pickleball, that's great for the more athletic and youth, but not for the mature, elderly or disabled. Basically, this church is a "Recovery" church for those looking to get their lives back on tract without feeling "pressured" in really serving Christ! All in a nutshell, Reclaim is a weekend "warrior church"

The environment was welcoming, and our kids became heavily involved in several of the church programs. At first, we truly believed we had found the right church home for our family. Unfortunately, after our family experienced a very serious and personal situation involving one of our children, we reached out to the church seeking support and guidance. During that difficult time, we hoped for some level of care, follow-up, or even a simple check-in from someone within the church community. Sadly, we did not receive any response or outreach from church leadership or members. I even met personally with the pastor at one point and shared that we were hoping to find a church that would stand beside families not only during good times but also during difficult seasons. When we later reached out asking if the church could simply provide a letter acknowledging our family's absence due to the situation affecting us, we again received no response or support. Another disappointment was that after signing up for various church programs, the primary communication we received consisted mostly of promotional emails encouraging purchases or sign-ups, rather than meaningful engagement or community support. This experience has been very disheartening for our family. While we appreciated the involvement our kids had early on, we ultimately feel that the church did not stand by the values of community and care that it promotes. Because of this, our family has made the difficult decision to stop attending and will be searching for a church that more closely reflects the support, compassion, and accountability that we believe a church community should provide. I sincerely hope that in the future the church places greater emphasis on following up with families who reach out for help during difficult times.

Then right before the message started we had a staff member come and publicly embarrass us in front of others around us by saying we must leave right now due to our dog. Coming in we were welcomed with our dog explaining that he is an emotional support animal and that he has just had surgery 2 days prior. We are unable to leave him at home due to his 6 staples in his leg. Instead of the team coming up with a solution they just kicked us out. I asked if I could speak to someone about this and they quickly declined and didn't even give us another option. We weren't allowed to listen to the message not even outside we just had to completely leave the premises. Walking out the door there was an 8 person team standing there waiting for us to leave like we were some threat and they just watched us walk out. How embarrassing. To say we are extremely saddened and disappointed is an understatement. Every other church we've gone to with this 7lb puppy has never had a problem. Safe to say we are not welcomed back here unfortunately. Such a bummer. I would seriously not recommend a church less. How awful you have no solutions and you're not allowed to speak to anyone, you just don't care about your guests and kick them out. Because of this expiernce its affected us going back to church in general that we will be kicked out again at another church and caused us to feel as if someone is always watching to judging us like they did here. Super unfortunate And unprofessional.........

Most importantly, the pastor teaches Biblically sound doctrine. The church's website has its core beliefs posted and church sermons are available online.

After multiple visits over the years, my concerns haven't changed, they've only become clearer. The Pulpit here feels more like a feel good ego booster than a place of Biblical Authority and Accountability. Topical preaching, as it is consistently delivered here, feels shallow and misaligned with what people truly need in this season. We are living in a time where the world is loud, chaotic, and spiritually heavy. Scripture makes it clear that we are in a battle, not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12) and people are walking into church desperate for truth, clarity, and spiritual equipping. Instead, the messages often revolve around surface-level topics like saving money, managing anxiety, or even personal anecdotes that feel disconnected from the weight of what believers are facing. There is a real hunger right now for solid, biblical teaching. People are not just looking for encouragement, they are looking for transformation through The Word of God. With biblical literacy at an all-time low, the responsibility of a pastor is not to entertain or lightly motivate, but to teach, correct, and equip (2 Timothy 3:16-17). I have yet to hear a message here from Pastor Tom that reflects the depth, authority, or conviction that pastoral leadership requires. 1 Timothy 3 lays out clear qualifications for church leaders: self-controlled, respectable, able to teach, and above reproach. Leadership in the church is not a platform for personal preferences or casual storytelling, it is a calling that demands humility and accountability. John 3:30 reminds us, "He must increase, but I must decrease." When that posture is missing, it shows. At any given moment, someone can walk through those doors completely broken, searching for something real, something eternal. That is not a small responsibility. That is a weight pastors are called to carry with reverence and seriousness. Messages should point people to Christ, confront sin, strengthen faith, and prepare believers to stand firm in a spiritually dark world, not simply offer life tips or light encouragement. After giving this church chance after chance since 2021, I can confidently say this is not a place where I have found that kind of leadership or teaching. It often feels like there is more emphasis on comfort than conviction, and more desire for agreement than accountability. My prayer is that leadership takes a step back, examines Scripture honestly, and realigns with what biblical shepherding is truly meant to be. The church is too important, and the times we are living in are too serious, for anything less.

Listened to the teaching from May 1 on the website before deciding to check it out in person…read more 4-person worship band: two guitarists, 1 drummer, 1 female keyboardist/vocalist. 4-song opening worship set. Communion was taken at the beginning. Pastor Dennis Templeton made reference to the Passover meal and the 4th cup of redemption. Points for bringing it back to the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith! Teaching by Pr Templeton was on Hebrews 11:4-7. His delivery was not showy but is quiet & confident. (Reminiscent of Roger Barrier of Casas in Tucson.) Teaching was very well researched & methodical, providing several biblical cross-references as well as timely quotes from John MacArthur and Billy Graham. Opened with a personal anecdote to introduce the topic. I found the teaching to be stimulating & engaging. Teaching was approx 20 min in duration. He concluded with the Aaronic blessing, which is sadly rare in contemporary churches in my observation. Visited in person 5/22/2022 9:30 am. This is a small congregation, so this is their only weekend service. Cozy sanctuary was maybe half full. Greeted at the entrance by a lovely woman named Kim who immediately knew we were visitors and invited us to fill out prayer request and connection cards if we wanted. There's a menorah on display on the front left wall of the sanctuary. Points again for the nod to Hebrew roots! Same 4-person band I saw on their video, except this time the pastor filled in on bass guitar. Six songs total. Announcements were delivered by a young man wearing a ballcap. Minor bugaboo: men should not wear hats in church. It's one thing if attendees are not convicted of this, but church leadership should set the example and not take the stage wearing a hat. (1 Cor 11:7) Before the message, Pr Templeton took a moment to recognize a recent high school graduate in the congregation and make him "honorary usher" for the day. Very sweet. Pr Templeton reviewed the past few messages to provide context before launching into today's (Hebrews 11:8-16). Provided a ton of Scriptural cross-references, a handful of Greek word translations & a Hebrew word translation. I was geeking out in my YouVersion app alternating between English, Greek and Hebrew translations. There's no reason God's word can't be stimulating to the intellect as well as to the soul. Soft altar call at the end, an invitation to meet pastor in the back after the service. Points for that as well. Church is not the place for a hard altar call IMHO. His message was well-researched, doctrinally sound and styled to equip the saints. Delivery was measured, calm, not gimmicky, and not in the annoying exaggerated preacher intonation typical in some seeker-sensitive congregations. Service was 90 min from start to finish. Husband and I are visiting several churches over the next few weeks to find a church home, so we don't know yet if we will land on this one, but it gets a thumbs-up from me. What this church lacks in light & sound effects, fog machines, flamboyant worship leaders and other flashy gimmicks, it makes up for in sound and sober teaching.
