Strunk Stunk. Called them for estimate; they ran out quickly but with no notification as to when they'd come, but they did give me a good quote and I told them I wanted them to do the job. After getting neighbor permission to trim their tree over the property line, I called Strunk back with the information, and never received a call back or an acknowledgement of my call. Nothing. I left messages and called on several different days with no reply. I'm disappointed in them, because they had done a good job on my neighbor's job when one of his trees fell onto my back deck. read more

Last year Mark showed up for the estimate on my apple tree spraying timely and gave me the best price. It was difficult to get in touch with his wife Lynn to schedule an appointment, and Mark showed up about 10 days too late, so I did not get many apples this year, hardly any. But fungus is still there. While he was spraying in April, we discussed trimming my oldest tree. He gave me the estimate, but said he wants to do it in the fall or I might not get any apples.(I did not anyway, because he sprayed too late). It was hard once again to schedule the trimming appointment with Lynn, but finally she gave me 9/10 at 11 am. When no one showed up by 2 pm I tried to reach Lynn again. Eventually, we rescheduled for today approximately 1-2 pm. At 4pm 2 guys showed up ready to trim my maple tree. I was like, "No, we discussed the apple tree, and if you are not going to trim it, I just find another service, because I cannot deal with these people anymore". Mark called me half an hour later. I had Strunk c do work for me last year and they did a great job. This year I contacted them we agreed on a date and they never showed up. No returned call or text. After 1 week Chris contacted me and we agreed on a new date and time- Mother's Day weekend, we spent the day waiting for them and once again no call or text from them. My neighbor across the street had a tree cut down. Strunk tree services used my driveway without my consent or verified that the person they spoke to lived in my home. They also hooked their truck onto my basketball hoop and tried to blame it on a FedEx outsourced Penske truck. Here's the problem: 1. My son and I watched the Strunk truck snag on our hoop. We also watched a worker get out of the truck, lower the hoop (he did not return it to its full height) and release their truck. At the time, it was dark and I did not see any damage to the hoop from inside my home. Later during the week, when it wasn't pouring or snowing, I was able to see that the hoop has been damaged. This has also been confirmed by my neighbor whom the work was done for, who said that there was no Penske truck and it had been the Strunk truck that damaged my property. 2. I called FedEx and asked if 1. They outsourced their work with Penske trucks (true) and 2. If they were able to send out a Penske truck to see if it were possible to snag on my hoop at the regulation height. They obliged and we did it from several different angles; the Penske truck did not reach the height necessary to snag on the hoop at its regulation height. 3. The road width in my neighborhood does not allow for a Penske truck to maneuver safely around a tree service truck or any service truck. If that had truly been what happened, the hoop would have been hit, knocked down or at the very least moved a bit. It's weighted down by two cinder blocks, no sand or water inside the base. It wasn't moved at all, just bent where the Strunk truck had snagged. I called and spoke to two different people, one of which was the dispatcher/office manager. She bought the workers story hook line and sinker despite the holes in it and gave me an attitude the entire time. She claimed someone would be out to repair it, no one has been here. I had to reschedule several times because of weather and other jobs ahead of me in their queue, but this is part of their business. Scheduling was challenging, but I've had this experience with other vendors. The team that showed up was awesome!They worked hard, were thoughtful about what they did, and any contradictions between the paperwork and my understanding were easily resolved, so I'm glad I was there. Pricing was competitive. They identified and treated diseased trees which was helpful in the long run. read more

Very difficult to reach. Wife answers the phone with "hello" so you need to ask if it's even a business number. They are terrible about calling you back. She is usually busy with her children and says she will call you back but then doesn't. If you leave a message on the home answering machine no one calls back. Too bad because I had heard the owner was a nice Christian man. read more

I'm writing this review to spare others the aggravation I've endured with this company. These people are very unprofessional. The woman who answers the phone, if she picks up, acts as if she's totally annoyed that you've called. She doesn't even say the name of the business when she answers. Though that was a huge red flag, I still made an appointment to get an estimate, thinking that maybe she was just having a bad day. After taking the day off and coordinating with my tenants at the service location, they were a no show. No call. No apologies. Even worse, when I called to see what was going on, the woman strung me along, saying that Mark was just running late and that she'd call me back in 10 minutes with a new ETA. I'm still waiting. Learn from my experience. Run, don't walk, away from this company, as the customer service is terrible and they clearly don't respect your time. read more
