It was divine intervention that sent me to Dr. Mike and he is amazing! A little over a month ago, out of nowhere, I experienced sudden sharp pain in my lower back that knocked the breath out of me and sent me to my knees. I was able to slowly get up, but only to the point where I was walking hunched over, as I couldn't stand up straight due to the pain. I decided to try going to sit in the infrared sauna (where I go for hot yoga) and try slowly/slightly stretching, hoping that may 'loosen' my back. On the way there thinking to myself, I wish I knew a good chiropractor, whom I could trust. Hearing back from him in such a quick manner, I was so appreciative and it gave me a peaceful feeling that he's not only there for his patient's needs, but also has their best interest at heart. The next day, I walked/shuffled, still hunched over in a lot of pain, into Dr. Mike's office and he established that I had an intense back muscle spasm. Using muscle simulation with a heating pad, massage, the Miracle Wave® (a non-invasive machine that uses sound waves, while temporarily increasing local blood circulation, which in return increases healing time), Summus laser therapy, and adjustments, Dr. Mike worked wonders on my back! At the end of the first session, my pain lessened and I was able to at least stand up straight ~ hallelujah. It only took a few more sessions until I was pain free. I had been having lower back pain after every dancing class since I started learning dance more than a year ago, and never paid too much attention. I went to see Dr. Maiorino after I had exhausted traditional orthopedic care. I had received a spinal epidural shot that lasted for about 3 weeks, but the lower back pain came right back. I had a MRI that showed that I had a degenerate lower vertebrae, but did not have a rupture. After a friend had recommend Dr. Maiorino, I decided to give it a try. After a thorough medical consultation, Dr. Maiorino made some minor adjustments, but to my shock I had regained my balance and strength in my legs.
