They have a good range of lower-end to very high end products. You can customize your furniture to meet your needs. For tables you can choose leg style, size, colour, etc. For couches there are tons of styles and an overwhelming amount of fabric choices. There are also lots of bedroom pieces, dining cabinets, chairs and bar stools. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. I've asked them some pretty detailed questions and they've been able to help me every time. Their prices are already very competitive for the quality they offer and they usually have even better discounts on their floor models. The current promotion is no tax on certain pieces. If you're in the market for new furniture, I highly recommend visiting Joshua Creek.

When the staff saw us looking through the book they helped us, but not in a pushy commission-earning sort of way. We ended up not finalizing our order elsewhere, as Joshua Creek was extremely helpful in helping us match chairs to our server and dining table. They not only explained how the ordering worked, but looked at our samples to suggest the best way to ensure we were able to match our maple and cherry furniture to our new chairs. The great thing too was we did not have to waste time and haggle on price. We had price shopped the Handstone chairs in numerous places and pricing varied greatly, and we were offered an extremely competitive and reasonable price right away. Our chairs arrived and were excellent, except for one. The stain and grain was substantially different. Joshua Creek took this as an opportunity to earn our loyalty in the future. Not only did they acknowledge the issue, but they picked up, sent back, and re-delivered a proper and fixed chair. In this day and age I find stellar service is hard to find, and it was great to have this taken care of. Although 6 chairs is not a big purchase compared to what some may buy, I appreciate they treated me as a valued customer and went above and beyond. I was extremely impressed to the point of deciding to write a review. I will certainly come back, if not for the quality then for the excellent customer service offered. I feel confident buying at a place like this which stands behind what they sell instead of simply taking your money and making you deal with concerns. The friendly and knowledgeable staff made it a great experience.

I wont get into details for certain reasons but I will say that basic customer service requirements were handled extremely poorly by management or not at all. The owner was rude, argumentative and was belligerent with a female family member and he failed to fix his numerous errors in a way that even remotely resembled professionalism. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Two big thumbs down.

My first and only dealings with this rude and ignorant furniture store owner just happened…read moreyesterday, May 15, 2017. I am a business owner, and I was at my mother in law's furniture upholstery shop in Oakville, when this hot headed man entered their store, walked right through the showroom like he owned the place and entered the rear of the shop. This man as it turns out owns Destination Furniture on Kerr St in Oakville, he came in loudly complaining about my mother in law stealing his business, which is not the case at all. What started this was a customer of his, wanted him to re-upholster some patio chair cushions using a certain outdoor fabric, the owner of Destination Furniture was so rude and ignorant to his customer, that they chose to have my mother in law do the job instead. This man, when he entered the shop, acted like he was king shit, treating my mother in law like she was a second class person, which I can not stand. I was on the phone with one of my clients at the time, and when I got off the phone he was long gone. I am sure when he entered the family upholstery shop he must have thought it would just be my mother in law and wife there, he was not expecting to see me sitting there. As soon as I discovered who this person was and that he owned a business just down the street, I paid his place of business a visit. First let me say this, his store is at the back of a dirty plaza and you have to go up a flight of very dirty stairs just to enter his store. I seen first hand why he doesn't do much business, as no one I know would ever purchase from this filthy place. When I spoke with this man, all I asked was that he either call my mother in law or return there and apologize to her for his rude and ignorant behavior, as he would not like someone entering his business in the same manner in which he just entered my in laws shop. This man, for some stupid reason, thought he could intimidate me by getting loud, rude, and ignorant with me ( I am 6ft 6" and approx 250lbs), saying he would never apologize to her or anyone else for that way he acts. Our conversation got a bit heated, as several harsh words and phrases were tossed at each other, I kept my cool, but this dirt bag kept getting more and more rude with me. I have since heard he has been this way with many of his customers and other people as well. For anyone, looking to purchase furniture or having this place do any jobs for you, please take a moment to think it over, it may take a little longer or be a little bit more expensive to shop at another store, but customer service sometimes makes all the difference in the world. I own a business within the furniture sector, and I could recommend several other business's for you to deal with where you will never be treated badly by this person, I can no longer call him a man, as no real man would treat any woman business owner as bad as he treated my mother in law.

The TJ Maxx line of stores have always fascinated me…read more The three brands - WInners, Homesense and Marshall's - have made their trade in being a glorified clearance store for many low and mid-range brands, and this location in Clarkson is no exception. I'd argue that it's the perfect fit for the Clarkson community, as it accurately sums the sleepy, docile nature of the community. I ended up coming here to kill a few hours and get in on some late Boxing Day shopping after the New Year, and was extremely surprised to find that half the store was on clearance. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that a good 40-50% of the goods on sale were either marked with tags or set up on "Clearance" endcaps, which was extremely amusing considering there was SO MUCH of it still on display. $2 packs of PUR gum, dirt-cheap Christmas and designer decorations, all sorts of weird food items for pennies on the dollar... makes the mind boggle with how much product is back there that they struggle to sell it all even with 80-90% discounts. One thing I'll definitely give the store credit for is that it's generally very quiet, the service is prompt, and you're generally bound to find something you want, whether it's a weird knick-knack or a book that interests you. In the end, we ended up buying a bunch of themed Christmas foods (including peppermint bark coffee liqueur and chocolate candy-cane shaped shortbread cookies), along with some odds and ends. I find I like visiting here every time in the area. Despite it's similar layout and product offerings as Winners (take out the men's/women's fashion and you have Homesense), the service and selection put it a cut above. Definitely a worthwhile anchor store in Clarkson Village Plaza.

Size-wise, this Homesense was not as impressive as the ones that I've been to at Bathurst/Centre (Thornhill) or even Vaughan Mills. It's on the smaller size, HOWEVER, the benefit is that it's waaay quieter than those other locations. Actually, it's probably even quieter than any Winners that I've been to! The location definitely has a part to play in that "been transported back in time" feeling. There's no sense of urgency or rush, just relaxation. I had a question about what was included in a package of bedding - it wasn't stated on the label - and the sales associate, who was doing something else at the time, actually went to another associate to find out for me. Who does that nowadays? If I were in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to stop here 'cause I don't like shopping in crowded places.

BEWARE - THE EMPLOYEES AT THE BURLINGTON LOCATION ARE INVOLVED IN A SCAM!…read more I was interested in purchasing a couch from the Burlington store and had been in direct communication with the Assistant Manager regarding it who tried to scam me out of $1,000 by attempting to get me to use a gift card towards my purchase when in fact, she never possessed any such gift card to begin with! I wrote the EQ3 Head Office an extremely detailed email outlining my experience and forwarding my entire chain of communication with the Assistant Store Manager (fortunately I had everything in writing) only to receive the following response: "Thank you very much for sending the below message and bringing this to our attention. The loss prevention manager is aware and is currently investigating. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with the below details and apologize for any and all inconvenience you have experienced." Dealing with EQ3 has not only been an incredibly frustrating experience but also a fantastic waste of time. The cherry on top is that the Loss Prevention Manager is not even bothered enough to contact me personally regarding the entire experience. Abysmal customer service - STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!

Within 1 month the pillows were pilling and the zipper seams were splitting/tearing and they were in terrible shape. The woman in the store (this was a Thursday evening) was shocked and said that this definitely should not happen in one month and that she would get a full refund or store credit ( we were fine with both), however she was unable to process the refund that night as the manager was not in the store. She took pictures of our receipt and of the pillows defects and told us the manager would be in touch the following day. It's not been over 3 weeks and no one has been in touch and I have called EQ3 Burlington and left a voicemail for the manager. This is absolutely unacceptable given the amount of money we spent on these pillows, clearly the price does not reflect the quality, as the sale clerk agreed. I'd like a full refund for the pillows.
