I would not even give it a 1would go into the negative numbers waiting 6 months for purchase, they do not care. Crap customer service. They have had our money for 6 months. Arriving at store, but will not deliver for 5 days after. Quality is questionable and business model is broken due to carrying no inventory and everything ordered from China equals long and protracted delays. I ordered a bed frame before Christmas and let the sales lady know that I was going to be away over Christmas for 2 weeks. Since she did not have a delivery date to the store she said that was not a problem. Then on December 20th I received the call that the bed frame arrived to the store. I was leaving the next day to Ontario for 2 weeks. When I got home I received a not nice phone call from a gal named Cathy on January 3rd/24 telling me I needed to come and pick up the bed ASAP. I told her I could cone either that Saturday coming up or the next weekend. That was not good enough for her. I offered to pay the remaining balance. She claimed that was not the issue and the problem was that it took up too much space in her back room. She accepted when I could come very begrudgingly. I could clearly hear it in her tonality. I instead sent my partner to pick it up that some day. I called her back to tell her I would never, ever shop with Structube again. I had since sent a formal letter to their Head Office and have never received a reply. After having worked in retail for over 30 years I found this lack of good customer service very disappointing. Needless to say I will NEVER give this company my money ever again. read more

I love structube; it's affordable, stylish and better quality than Ikea.. But the customer service is terrible. I ordered 4 chairs online for delivery. I'm a student, I live in the west end of Halifax, I don't have a car - so it's very hard for me to get out to Dartmouth. I received the chairs and one was damaged, I called and they said they would order a new one in for me but not deliver it... I said I would really prefer it be delivered as I have no idea when I'd be able to pick it up. They said they didn't do that, so I said fine, but mentioned the fact that I can't get it right away as I have no way of getting there. I finally go there to pick it up, and the woman says "ohh..... the one thats been here forever." She gets the new chair and slides it to the front door, I ask if it's ok to leave the box here as its really big and I have to sit with it on my lap, she says "No, I'd prefer if you took the box, we don't have room" (????) You may be short on space but I'm sure a broken down cardboard box would not effect that. I felt like I was being pushed out of the store - I was planning on buying something as well but changed my mind when I felt I was being disrespected. She was very passive aggressive and that is enough for me to never go there again. read more

I actually hate writing negative reviews for any business but this was by far the worst buying experience that I have ever had with a retail store, let alone a store selling furniture. I usually dislike furniture shopping because of the overly eager commissioned sales folks. Well the staff here is not overly eager and take customer service to the other extreme. Without going into too much detail, if at all possible. I am ready for a move and a new couch is on the buying list, two months before moving I go check out Structube. Great looking stuff, reasonable prices and solid quality. Knowing they don't stock anything I know I will need to plan ahead so I can pick-up the couch during the move. After one initial negative experience, I found a couch and the sales person (assistant manager) assures us the couch will be delivered on May 26 in lots of time for our May 28 move. Perfect! I have a couch ordered in advance and all I have to do is pick it up with a truck the day of the move. What more could I ask for? So the day of the move is arriving quickly and I go to pay for the rest of the couch. Get to the store and the staff member informs us that the shipment didn't come. They stated they knew it would be late when we ordered, because of Victoria Day. He then grabs the assistant manager who deflects all responsibility (she didn't realize she was the one who gave us the assurances) and essentially bad mouths the employee (herself), stating they didn't know what they were talking about and it was not the fault of the store. Ok fine, deflect responsibility, that's ok as long as it is delivered when it gets in for free. This was too much to ask for, despite their mistake. Her answer to the challenge, just cancel the order... Strange attitude when selling furniture. Long story short, one star is for great quality and priced furniture. That's all they get! Terrible customer service, a manager call was promised but not received, no empathy of the situation and they didn't own up to their mistakes, - 4 stars. Would I buy something from Structube again.... Only as a last resort, Ikea can't get to Halifax soon enough. read more

Went in today to buy a particular chair. Didn't realize that it was order in advance only, but was able to buy the chair in a different colour as they had more than one on the floor. The saleswoman was okay after a slow start: she seemed to take a tiny bit of pleasure in informing me that it would take weeks to order the colour I originally wanted :) She unfroze somewhat as we went along, and I left happy with the chair and thrilled with the price. The selection here is amazing and I would certainly come back and order things well in advance! read more

Personally I'm not one to write a bad review as I understand it can be harmful to a business, however my experience with structube was unacceptable and by far the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I bought two pieces of furniture for my husband for Christmas, After getting home and taking the brand new chair out of the box we discovered it had a huge crack in the supporting leg. After phoning structube and explaining the situation they advised me to take photos and send to their email address and they would respond as soon as they received, after 24 hours of not hearing back I phoned to follow up, the lady on the other end was full of attitude and not helpful in the least. I explained we live quite far and requested the new chair be delivered as it was quite an inconvenience to pack it back up and bring it back myself, I have a 8 month old. She said there was nothing she could do, I tried to explain it shouldn't be my responsibility as it was their error, the box stated it had been inspected prior to delivery however clearly it was not. I asked to speak with the manager as all I was requesting was the $60 delivery fee be waived, the lady stated she was the manager and continued to say there was nothing she could do. Horrible customer service, I would never give them my business again and will most definitely share my experience with others who show interest in purchasing from structube. read more

I love structube furnitures. Purchased many items from them beds..sofa/chairs/lamps from them before and get them delivered before. We recently ordered the whole set of coffee tables and 2 end tables. This time to save $55 delivery cost we pick up in store instead. After few weeks the items arrived and we picked up. They have no one available at the store to load the tables for us. These the tables were glass so they were heavy. We managed to load them our-self. One of the table has a defect...one out of 4 holes on the frame is smaller so we cant put the screw on. Called the store spoke to a manager and she offer to take a floor model and swap the glass. I refer to send me just that piece of frame that defects so i dont have to bring back the table. They wont delivery to us...since it's a store pick up. Very disappointed with their policy...it's their mistake that they sent us the defects and wont take the responsible to delivery us the new one. You have to bring the old one back and pickup the new yourself. The store manager in Dartmouth Crossing even said..."you can try to fix it yourself if you like". If you order something big...make sure you pay them the delivery...otherwise they wont delivery for you a new one if it's defect on their part!!!! read more

myself and my boyfriend found Structube one day while exploring Dartmouth Crossing and since then have always wanted to shop there. Structube is full of modern and contemporary furniture that is pleasing and great for small apartments/condos and best of all is the price. Items that you would see at The Bay or Sears for $1000+ would be $200 at Structube. I was excited to shop there when we started to plan a move for the end of the month. We were downsizing from a 3 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom apartment and the modern furniture was exactly what we wanted. We went couch shopping at Structube and found the perfect one that we both loved and it was only $499, what a steal.. Unfortunately they were out of stock and it would take upwards of 3 months to get it.... wow. The staff was nice enough to inform us that we can be put on a waiting list and pay a deposit for when it does arrive, unfortunately we couldn't wait that long so we went somewhere else. (I understand that most furniture companies just have show rooms and you have to wait for a few weeks but ordering a couch in March and not getting it until June is NOT ACCEPTABLE. The next day we returned to search for a kitchen table, an arm chair and a buffet table. Again we searched and searched for over an hour deciding which items we wanted from their awesome selection. again, we were met with 3 month+ wait cause they were out of stock. The only thing we could actually get within a week was the table. even the arm chair had a 3month wait.... We decided not to shop at structube again. It reminds me of the old saying, "a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush." frankly, they may have the best furniture in halifax but if you can't actually buy it, whats the point. overall, Structube was an awful experience. The staff were nice and the section was nice and the price was even better but i don't have 3 months to waste. *if you are planing a move in the far distance then this is your store. read more
