Based on the fact that I had to add this business to Yelp should tell you how little is known about…read morethis new big box that, in my opinion, is poised to knock ToysRus off their tiny baby sized high horse. As I alluded to in my previous review of TRU, they've become complacent with their position as the only show in town as the go to for baby registry and supplies. Contrary to this complacency and lack of care for their customers there is a massive opportunity for BBB (a new comer to the Canadian baby retail landscape) to cut the knees or from under them and take over. Here's why. We had already registered at BRU and had felt the experience was lacking. On the advise of my mother, easily one of the most experienced shoppers around, I passed by buybuy Baby after a meeting in the area to see what they were all about. Keep in mind, I'm dad, not mom so you'd think they'd be less interested in me. Not true. As soon as I walked in I was warmly greeted, asked if I was shopping for someone else or expecting. When they found out my fiancee and I were sxoecting, they were gushing over how excited they were for me... ME! I asked about their registry process and was walked through the peocess which inckuded: personal consultation, gift bag, one time discount of 10% at the end as well as not one but three opportunities to get additional 20% coupons off single items. Additionally you're given a personal shopper on the day you create your registry who systematically walks your through and educates you on every category of baby needs. A far cry from the homogenous "here's your scanner, see you later" approach of TRU/BRU. And it's worth noting that buybuy Baby is owned by Bed Bath and Beyond (BBB) and it is laid out and organised in the same meticulous fashion that their parent company is with limitless selection in ever category. At BRU there were 6-8 strollers and 3-4 cribs on display and 1.5 gliders (0.5 because one was broken and still on the sales floor). While BBB had over 50 strollers on display, 10-12 nursery sets (not just cribs) staged in mock nurserys, and about 15 fully functional gliders. I went home excited but also really disappointed that our first baby registry experience was so very different. I couldnt stop talking about it with my fiancee over the next two weeks, finally we decided to not make an appointment but just pop by in a Sunday to see if there was a few items we could create an additional registry with-fill in the gaps a D maybe refuge our existing registry. We arrived and even without an appointment we were given the same warm welcome and best of all a staff member offered to help us and walk us through the store to go through our existing registry and help us make more informed descissions. I believe her name was Brianna, and she was amazing. Admitting to us she did not have kids of her own but had done a lot of reading and had a lot of parental feedback to help us make good decisions. We were in store for 2.5 hours and by the end had begun to build a new registry, a smarter registry, with her while deleting our BRU registry one item at a time. The experience was the special one we had hoped for and unlike when we left BRU where we felt lost, unsure and disappointed, we were happy excited and confident that we had done the best thing for our baby and us as parents. I'm new to this parent/expectant parent life but to read all the feedback I got from fellow parents about how sad their experiences were at TRU/BRU - Even when shopping for others registry items I keep we made the best decision ever. You just earned a life long customer and when folks on yelp read this I'm confident many will follow in my footsteps. Thank you.

Buybuy Baby is the 'bed bath beyond' version of everything baby store, from an immense selection of…read morecarseats, wether it be style or price you're looking for to espresso like milk making machines, THEY GOT IT!!!! Get registered here for all your baby needs and it might just take away the newbie nostalgia in becoming brand new humans to a little human, soon to occupy your entire world. So being prepared with all gadgets to ease transition to parenthood is advised... STRONGLY!!! They've got a section of expensive diaper bags ($50-$300) cribs and baby furniture, Ellen Degeneres clothing which is ridiculously priced but super cute. Feeding bottles of different kinds from plastic to glass, in bulk or sold individually if you'd like to test which one your baby would prefer(latch better to). They've got Mustela brand for newborn skin care which I am so inlove with! The sweet scent doesn't overpower the newborn baby smell which is heaven and this brand cleared my son's mild rash on the face in a couple of days. Stokke branded strollers and Nuna car seats also sold here. Maternity clothing and humidifiers also available. Jessica Alba's product Honest also in store, along with reusable diaper for around $150 which is said to prevent babies from having diaper rash but who has time for that??! They've got a wider selection of skin care products from cheapest (Johnson's,) to most expensive (Mustela and more). You'll be sure to find what you're looking for. Also, if you've been researching all the newest toys to soothe your newborn, they also sell Mamaroos here which practically are life savers when putting your baby to sleep with different settings like speed, type of movement and background sounds and it even connects to your iphone for music and control settings as bending down or using feet can be challenging. Some staff are oblivious to their surroundings and will practically ignore you so I say chase em' down with your 3rd trimester bellies and threaten to sue if your water breaks due to feeling helpless and confused and that should do it!!! Or just google all the reviews on the products beforehand to avoid dramatic scenarios like the one I just made up! And most importantly, enjoy this moment shopping for your bundle of joy because once they're out, peaceful trips will be once upon a time. Good luck!

I've bought many products here but nothing compares to the service and aid I received for my carseat. I was suddenly hospitalized with baby #2 and with the threat of induction any day needed to get my second carseat installed ASAP. My husband and I have crazy hectic entrepreneurial lives and the ladies at Love Me Do literally offered to drive to St-Joes and install our seat in the parking lot if needed. I've both worked retail and owned my own business for years and the care that goes into what they do is beyond amazing customer service. I can't say any more amazing things about this place, Linda, Carolyn and the whole team and invite you to support them as they are amazing people with a big heart.

The woman behind the cash was nice enough, no strikes there. But they have nearly nothing and what's there is strictly the trendiest, overpriced, unneeded albeit decent quality baby stuff. They publish wrong and misleading information online and don't take responsibility to do anything about it once you receive your product. I bought a stroller trusting the weight limit on their website and when I received it, the box clearly indicated a much lower max weight limit. Do yourself a favour and never waste your money buying anything from this business!!
