Over her life time she has seen more than five vets all of which I have been less than thrilled with. Dr. Lee is sincerely one of the most knowledgeable veterinarians I have ever come across. She is always researching, reading, attending educational meetings, etc. to provide the most cutting edge veterinary care to the furry customers she serves. Most recently, my Abby had become very dumpy and lacked an appetite. She had also been chewing her feet constantly which I had attributed to her possibly being in pain or bored. We visited this week and thought maybe it was her back/neck pain again but Dr. Lee felt there was more going on and decided to run her annual blood work (important for senior dogs). Sure enough, she once again was able to catch something that would have otherwise gone undiagnosed and caused Abby a lot of discomfort and pain. She is prolonging Abby's life because she knows to just what to do and when to do it. She also comes up with a treatment option that will not only make Abby more comfortable but also prolong her life. Today Abby began eating again and brought her leash to go for her walk! While we did a very short walk we did take her for a walk. I'm just grateful to see her in less pain and more active. Dr. Lee never turns anyone away. If you walk in and need to be seen, rest assured you will be seen and a proper diagnosis will be given even if it takes a couple of tests to get there. These girls are the sweetest piggies, and I would do anything and everything for them to ensure they have the best care. Recently, one of my girls developed a large abscess under her chin. I called my usual vet clinic only to be informed they do not have a vet to treat "exotic" animals. They're an amazing clinic but I was shocked to hear that a vet office did not treat any species besides cats and dogs. I was panicking because I knew my primary vet was very understanding of my recent financial struggles and no other vet would trust me like they did. Without going into personal detail on this review, I reached out to a few small animal rescues for help. Only one got back to me. I was not asking for any free services, just some advice/guidance/resources for help. I had no idea how few vets work with small animals. The rescue gave me information and i remembered that with my childhood guinea pigs, we used to take them to Best Care for vet appts. I took a shot in the dark and called them. They got me in for an appt the next morning. I was very honest about my financial difficulties, but also that I was also willing to do whatever I needed to in her best interest. Not to be blunt, but I was fully expecting to hear that due to her age/breed that she was hopeless. I was honest with the doc and staff. I told them I truly wanted what was best. I don't want her to suffer so I don't have to. Dr. Bremen was very understanding and gave options that were best for my piggie. I was given facts and her true opinion that these treatments are worth it for my piggies best interest. Ironically, it turns out she was even the vet that answered the questions for the people at the rescue that I had contacted prior! How cool is that?! We are continuing treatment for my piggie, and she has continued to be honest but also willing to give my sweet girl the chance she deserves to fight! Again, I do not expect any free services or discounts, however they have been so mindful of making sure to handle all treatments graciously and reasonably. I cannot thank Best Care enough. Quite a few conures of a different few types being friendly and inquisitive as usual. The budgies were super friendly and would join in whistling with you. There were even a couple of (what looked like) Yellow Headed Amazon parrots but they were pretty shy so they might had been young but looked in very good health. From the beginning they responded to all of my questions very quickly. The facility was nice with clean beds, towels, bowls, and kennels. I opted to leave their food which they were ok with. They sent pictures daily and gave me updates daily (sometimes more when I asked questions). I thought their price was very reasonable for 3 dogs and was happy to see they offered a military discount. I will definitely recommend and use the facility for boarding again. I added photos of my pups to make you smile
