My husband had the roast venison with braised red cabbage and they happily substituted bread dumplings for the hush puppies. I had the special roast pork with bread dumplings and sauerkraut. Also side salad - a small one would have honestly been plenty for two of us to share. Our little one has the kid's schnitzel and kid's bread dumpling with meat sauce. Not a crumb or drop left!

The establishment is broken into several sections, so if you walk into the part that kinda looks like a dive bar, try the other doors. I personally like the section that feels like a comfortable pub. Their beef is just wonderful, the carpaccio, tartare, and steaks are to die for. Even their simple dish of noodles and cabbage was beautifully executed. When we went they had a keg of Augustiner dark and white beer that was left over from the Munich Oktoberfest, and a lovely on tap Weiss beer that was one of the best in town. The waiters were great, spoke quite decent English. There was a live band as well that played really well and even though we were at the next table, it was a normal volume and we could still have a conversation about how good the beer and food was.

I'm having trouble finding the appropriate adjectives to describe this place. Breathtaking? Gorgeous? They all seem too weak to describe the beauty of this lake with mountain views. The restaurant has ample windows to soak in this view as well as a substantial outside deck right by the water. To be honest they could have served me dog food and I probably still would left with a smile on my face because of the view. That certainly wasn't the case though. We had a delightful lunch here. I thought the selection of food was a little odd. I've never been able to order schnitzel and pizza from the same place, but I enjoy both so that works for me. As well as those we also sampled caprese salad and some ice cream. It was an enjoyable lunch with a spectacular view. This was the best lunch we had on our trip to Europe without a doubt.
