Horrible experience and I was given a ridiculous charge for cancelling my order…read more I wasn't informed that i was going to have to wait an additional week for shirts to come in. What they embroidered on my team caps was NOT what I wanted at all, they get one star for trying to make it right by redoing the embroidery on my cap order. The sales person sure followed up by emailing and calling when I was interested in placing the order but it all went to sh*t after I paid to begin my order. Definitely will NOT recommend.

We used about $100 on a tux later but yesterday we were told that they no longer had any record of a credit and we would need to pay for our wedding. The owner had a casual attitude and fully expected us to continue our relationship despite the loss. Needless to say we walked across the street to their competitors.

First time, great experience. We shopped for a prom dress and had a very knowledgeable salesperson…read morewho went out of her way to help us find the right dress. Second time, a year later on a Saturday. Not so great. Same staff, same awesome salesperson. Expect this time there was an "owner" I'm guessing that basically took over. As we were trying on the dresses the awesome salesperson lined up, the "owner" came up and said we can "pay at anytime at the front of the store". I told her that we would come up when we were ready. As with any dress shop there's a place for women to stand on a pedestal with mirrors. Every time my daughter would come out she would stand on there and we would throughly look at the dress. This pedestal was at the far end of the shop. It had a tiny table. Remember that the shop was busy on a Saturday. Upon walking we immediately realized that it was prom season but also there was a bride with her whole family in tow. They were situated at a bigger table, just next to the tiny table that seated four. They had been looking at bridal magazines since we had entered the shop, at the bigger table that had the capacity to seat all of them. It became our luck that we found a prom dress fairly quickly. As I was waiting for my daughter to make sure this dress was the one. The "owner" asked if I could move to the bigger table so the family of the bride could be seated. Remember the tables are practically next to each other... of course I knew we had a dress chosen and I agreed. If we didn't have a dress chosen. I'm not sure that I would have agreed. I didn't understand why I was being ushered away from a table that seated four when it was only my daughter and I. Later I paid for the dress in full and we had a seamstress come over and pin the dress to be altered. The next Friday the dress was ready and the seamstress asked if we could meet at her house. We did and it fit perfectly. She then said that she told the shop we would be coming by to have the dress steamed (which is free, comes with the purchase of a dress). She said we would get a "nicer" bag than she had the dress in. We went to the shop to have the final steaming and low and behold, we got a plastic bag. The bag the seamstress had was better than what we got. Remember that we had been there the year before and then we had one on one time with a salesperson, we got a discount for paying in full, we didn't get ushered off, we got a complimentary bag that her old prom dress still sits in.... Loved the sales lady. We made sure and let her know, we just hope she got the commission.

You see, in a fraction of a second on someone's Youtube video about Farmington, I had spotted a doll cabinet... and within a 1930s Jaymar "Orphan Annie and Sandy" duo... And if anyone knows anything about me... it's that I'm an Annie fanatic... and my collection of vintage Annie dolls is expansive... but was missing this particular Jaymar duo... The owner of What the Junk, the lovely, friendly, immensely knowledgable June, offered her support as soon as I walked in... but I'm superstitious a little-- I have to "spot my find" by myself... ha! Once spotted, we had an extraordinary discussion, and it was very clear that June is a true doll collector-- and get this... she can also restring dolls as well! (Oh, if only she lived closer to me!) I suspect that is just ONE of her talents, she radiates wisdom and respect for history and treasures! Her store is an artful, eclectic delight of vintage collectibles, and it oozes with love from her big heart and delightful smile. Farmington is LUCKY to have a gem such as this-- in both store and in June! P.S. FULL DISCLOSURE: I was in town as my dog was playing "Sandy" in the local production of Annie... after having such a good time talking to June, I invited her and her lovely husband as my comp tickets to the show-- and I'm soo glad they came-- what a thrill! I truly hope that we can keep in touch and that they will look me up one day if they come out to Vegas!
