A friend recommended Fleet Feet ages ago but I didn't finally give them a try until I hurt my foot in the gym partially due to very old shoes. I came in on a Friday evening and two other customers were already there but Anthony did an amazing job of bouncing between us and providing excellent service. I explained my situation, what kind of workouts I typically do, and he walked me through the measuring process which consisted of stepping on a platform and walking a few strides over a cushiony mat. (Thank god, you do not have to run!) Anthony explained my readings & shortly came back with three awesome options he thought would be great for me. Unlike Cinderella, though, Anthony nailed it on the first shot. The CloudFlow shoes felt so amazing they made me realize just how old and worn out my other pair was! Due to some discrepancy in my arches, Anthony also recommended some insoles which he custom cut for my new kicks. In addition to that, I also snagged some workout gear from their selection. The shoes were $140, insoles $50, and the gear was $60, so not cheap but you can definitely tell it's quality stuff! I already wore everything for the next morning workout and it all felt great! I thought I knew what I wanted but he really helped me figure out what I needed. He was super knowledgeable about each model and what the features were that would serve me best. He wasn't pushy at all and I know I tried on at least 7-8 different pairs and sizes. I have run and hiked for 30 years; but I still learned something today. I highly recommend the foot scan they use. I knew my right foot was a little longer than my left but the scan affirmed that and that my left foot was a little wider. I am at XL most weekends playing soccer and enjoying some social time with friends. We joke that it is our version of a country club without being snooty. I've met some of my best friends here, and my kids have pretty much grown up here. It's fun for adults, but also kid friendly. They have a snack bar with lots of fried foods, which I try (note the word try) to avoid, and a nice beer selection, including local craft beers. Most teams will hang out afterward for a beer or two, so you have lots of opportunities to socialize. I hope I'll be able to continue playing for years to come, but occasionally it gets to be a little too much. Sometimes new teams join and they take it too seriously and we get hurt (I have scars to prove it), but we try to help them understand that it is SOCIAL, none of us will be going to the World Cup.
