Midlothian Kids Academy

My daughter started here not too long ago. We were worried b/c she has never gone to daycare…read morebefore. The director and assistant director were very welcoming, friendly and helpful in addressing all of our questions and concerns. Although my daughter wishes she could come home afterschool, Midlothian Kids Academy has provided a safe place for her with age-appropriate activities. Classroom staff is always inviting and engaged when I come to pick her up! Shout out to Ms. B's class!!!

Avoid Midlothian Kids Academy at all costs…read more This daycare has extremely high staff turnover and poor supervision of the children. When my son moved to the two-year-old classroom, we were told they would help with potty training -- but within a week they began complaining about accidents and even suggested we bring in Pampers. It was clear they just didn't want to do their job. I refused, and ironically, my son's potty training improved right after that. The food they serve is subpar -- my son comes home hungry every day. Classrooms are often combined because they're short-staffed, creating chaos and disorganization. When incidents happen, they rarely communicate unless you call to ask what happened. One of the most concerning experiences was when my son came home with his face visibly swollen from crying. We were told he had a hard time going to sleep at nap time -- but we picked him up at 5 p.m., which means he was left crying unattended for an extended period of time. That's completely unacceptable and heartbreaking for any parent to hear. Worst of all, the director is dismissive and gaslights parents instead of being transparent or taking accountability. If you care about your child's safety, nutrition, and emotional well-being, run far away from this place.

River City Sportsplex - Warm ups at river city after a day of rain, the fields aren't too slick.

Traffic design- This place is a joke, one way in and out and never enough parking. Fields are some…read morejumbled up that you have to fight for a place to see your child play. My opinion is that they crammed too many fields together. Think about it nine fields in section A and hundreds of family members squeezing in- one little set of bleachers and this year they have advertising across the fences to block the view. They put most of the parking in the woods no where near the fields. They also do monitor the handicap parking so first come first serve and no display of handicap plates or anything. So I have seen wheels having to park in the woods. I mean people are parking on the grass at the fields so why don't they tear out the muddy grass and make more parking up near the fields? And when you have to park at fields B you have get in line of all the cars from A. Please put a exit out the back of the complex oh that would be to smart or at least have two lanes in and out with a traffic light.

Went for a concert on 9/9/23. We waited in line at least 45 minutes so we missed the first band…read more We had tickets very close to the stage. Before we went, I searched all over online and there were no photos of where the seating was. We had tickets for actual numbered seats. We arrived to find that they were rows of folding plastic chairs that appear to be left outside all the time because the hinges are rusted, and the seats were dirty. I brought paper towels to wipe the water off since it had just rained, and there was no cover over this area. The paper towels came off brown. There was sod laid under where the chairs were. It was a total mud bog! People would walk and mud would squirt up and splash around them and onto me. There was also only one bartender at the bar, so at times the line there was super long. There were port-a-potties instead of actual bathrooms, so be prepared to use that in the dark or hold it! Lastly, there was a lighting issue so the lead singer kept singing out on the catwalk in the dark with no spotlight, so people were complaining that they couldn't see him at all. The light came on halfway through the concert but after they took a break it didn't come on again. For over $60 a ticket, I was surprised.
