Was referred by a coworker. I'm one of those in the medical field who doesn't like to use the medical field, unless I really, really, need to. Had pretty bad low back pain that didn't seem to respond to Ibuprofen as in the past, so I decided to give Dr. Strickland's office a call today during lunch. The very pleasant front desk/office manager got me in within an hour and Dr. Strickland treated me kindly and professionally. I was amazed at the results after just one treatment. Back pain pretty much completely gone so working the rest of the day wasn't painful. You can't ask for any more than that. Thank you to Dr. Strickland and his staff for taking such good care of me. Dr. Strickland is top notch and just exceptional! My teenage son is very active in soccer and had undergone an injury that wouldn't allow him to play at his potential. I had taken him to Urgent care and after an Xray all he was told was it was bruised hip and some ibuprofen and rest would help him. After a month of no results I decided to look up chiropractors within our insurance network and found Dr. Strickland. With the great reviews I decided to give him a try and take my son to see him. I am so appreciative of him for helping my son get back to his normal self. I have never met a chiropractor who not only took the time to explain his work to me as the parent but also my son as the patient and ask for consent before completing any adjustment on him. I also loved how honest he was to encourage us not to bring him back if he was better after one visit. He also provide us his cell number and even checked on my son after his visit. I was referred specifically to Dr Strickland from a close friend. And if she trusted him with her health and her families- I knew I was in good hands. I had been suffering with back pain for a couple of months. No major injury, but back pain was new. And it was BAD. I had never been to a chiropractor before. I was nervous but would try anything to find relief. His staff were super friendly. I loved his main assistant. They all walked me through everything they were going to do and the goal for each. I had an adjustment done on my pelvic area, and two different nerve treatments. I appreciated the fast he didn't work on any area that wasn't the issue. He wanted to target the pain and hopefully make it better. He provided me with tips of how to treat it after the adjustment. The office isn't in the greatest areas, that's the only thing. Everything else was wonderful- from the customer service to the follow ups. Thanks Dr Strickland and staff! Side note- The only other thing I would advise is to loop in your primary doctor beforehand. I did end up having a disc issue that was caught on an X-ray. John Strickland is professional, friendly and knows his job well. I have been seeing him a couple months for a car accident. He has walked me through the different steps In my pain and is getting me back to where I was before the accident. He was really concerned about my pain levels when he started adjustments and gave me his personal cell and called me to make sure I was doing ok. He is caring and really wants to make sure his patients are well taken care of. I have a tight work schedule and talked to him about it and he accommodated me quite quickly getting me In and out. He is not like other chiros that will try to milk a ton of money out of his treatment either. He charges fair prices for the venue and will give you a cash price if needed. I really like Dr. Strickland. He is attentive, patient and a very good listener. He is one of the best chiropractors I have worked with. He is very very knowledgeable. My only issue is that they never take you on time. You have to plan to sit at the lobby for ar least 20 minutes after your appointment time. I think that's disrespectful. I was referred through a friend to come see John and get a few things work on after my leg injury. I called and explained my situation and was wanting to get an X ray . Everywhere else wanted to charge a lot more or they just didn't provide X-rays . They got me scheduled in and I was in the office 3 hours later . John was supper attentive and cared deeply on my situation. He got me an X-ray that gave me a piece of mind and worked on my injury right away . I've been going to Dr. Strickland off and on for just over a year or so now, and honestly would not even think of changing chiropractors; for me he's hands down the best in Vegas. Even as a first time patient it was easy to get in, and the staff were all lovely. Dr. Strickland himself if simply amazing at what he does. He's never made me feel like a number when I've been in for an adjustment; and always remembers what he worked on the last time I was in and asks if it's the same thing that feels out of whack or if there's something different going on; I'm a pretty avid CrossFitter so it's usually the latter. This place feels like a second home to me. I have been coming here for 10 years! My first visit was when I was 15 years old and I had developed an issue with my neck and back that left me unable to walk unassisted and I was constantly off balance. After just a few visits I was able to walk on my own!! Dr Strickland is the BEST chiropractor I have ever experienced. He does his research and does everything in his power to make sure you are happy and healthy. I moved out of state for a while and I did not have such pleasant experiences with other chiropractors. I don't know if it's his years of experience or he was just born to do this but he is great at what he does. Gentle, but aggressive in order to fix what's wrong.
