Sharon was wonderful and I did feel good after my session. Everything is clean and comfortable. The price is above my means though.

The first time I entered Crunch, Stephen/Steven at the front desk smiled and greeted me; he made me feel welcome. Bishoy, a former manager was also awesome! He asked whether I cared about the age or gender of the personal trainer. I didn't. Given my existing condition, he strongly recommended Ryan Ainsworth. Ryan is exemplary! He has the eye of a physical therapist and is arguably as good as one - if not better! He is kind and nurturing. Whenever I'd whine about the difficulty of an exercise, he'd always encourage me while ensuring that I'd perform that exercise with fidelity. Ryan possesses the sublime ability to immediately adjust specific exercises to meet my personal needs. Ryan's nuanced adjustments are sublime! Current and former managers Bishoy, Johnny (at the Norwalk location), Armando, CJ, and Charlie always exhibited genuine kindness combined with outstanding customer service during times I had to postpone training for extended period of time due to illness, cataract surgeries, and fractured toes as a result of being clumsy at home. Ryan Ainsworth has given me the grace to accept myself, be resilient, and prevail with this "new normal" for which I am eternally grateful!!!

Unfortunately, management is a completely different story. They are opportunistic and very inconsiderate. Despite me sending emails and calling ahead of time to confirm that I would not be charged after the three-month agreement, they still charged my card anyway. I don't like to argue, so I took matters into my own hands and showed my bank the emails and explained that I had called to get reassurance beforehand; yet I was still charged. That alone says a lot about their lack of integrity and morality. What made this even more frustrating is that after the bank reimbursed me, management suddenly called me again to "cancel" the training and I forwarded the same email I had already sent months ago stating I wanted to cancel after three months. This felt extremely tedious and reactive, especially since I had already been clear and proactive from the beginning. Please read the Yelp reviews before signing up. Ben is amazing and truly cares about his clients, but management(especially Armando) makes the overall experience unnecessarily frustrating and disappointing.

We got a 5pm class with Joelena as our instructor! Check-in was very easy with front desk. You get handed a cardboard placard with your name written on it. We got there about 15 minutes early so the previous class right before was still going on! The loud music and the instructor voice was energizing and I felt super excited to try out a class for the first time. You get to choose which machines you would like to use and people beforehand wipe down at the end of class. Seeing the cables and such had me very curious on how it goes! Our instructor went around as class was soon starting to ask our experience on pilates. You have to listen well during her instructions to know how to work the machines but after her quick tutorial we got right into it! I'm thankful for my friends helping me because I was clueless sometimes. PS Make sure you have grippy socks! Super thankful for my friend in having one for me, and I noticed there's many socks and products being sold too in the waiting area. Joelena was overall great and really helped push all of us into doing our best and she comes up to you personally every now and then to correct your form while telling the class too. The workout was crazy and sweaty! I was so sore the next couple of days. Totally worth the money and there is newbie discounts that average classes to $19-21 each. *single bathroom inside *cubbies for shoes *good ventilation *good stereo system *water refill station

I took a class with Kathy and was a great Pilates instructor. She spoke clearly and guided the class very well. The music selection was great and really set the tone for the workout. Staff enforces mask wearing and wipes are available to wipe down your equipment. AND PEOPLE ACTUALLY DO IT!!? What?! Everyone re-racks the weights and plates properly, and there are plenty of squat racks and benches. They have a track to run on as well as a HIIT area on the upper floors. There is also an area to do abs and stretching. They offer private pilates, Zumba, and yoga classes. Not to mention that they have an incredible rock climbing wall. This place is luxurious and spacious, and I'm not mad about probably ~50% of my tuition going to its maintenance and upkeep. Only thing that bothers me about the SRC is that they have such limited hours around the holidays. For example, this past weekend following Thanksgiving, they were only open from 10-2 pm. They are also closed from Dec 25- Jan 1, which I guess is understandable. But then again they are closed the week before the spring semester starts. It makes me feel like if I wanted to work out during those times, I need to purchase a separate gym membership somewhere else (which I do not want to do). Also, keep in mind that if you want to rock climb, you have to come at certain times as well, when the rock climbing staff are there. They really need to bring back the guest passes! Especially if that guest was an alumnus. And if they are going to charge $180 a semester for alumni gym membership, maybe make it worth it by not randomly closing down a couple weeks before the semester starts.

I'm definitely beginner in my fitness journey but even I know they have stuff that I haven't seen at other gyms. It's been a long time since I've done pilates and I was really struggling. I wish I remembered the name of the instructor because she was absolutely horrible. She wasn't helpful at all with making modifications so that I could get through the class. She also didn't check my machine beforehand and there were no weights on the springs so no wonder I was struggling. Instead of apologizing, she kind of snickered. Lastly, the music was so loud and the headset seemed to produce a lot of static so it was hard to understand her. I left feeling really disappointed and very out of place, this was not a welcoming experience.
