I work out here daily and reserve the right to change my opinion but for what I need and expect from a gym, this place is more than adequate despite the free weight area being small.

I told him I live in NC & was just visiting them. He frustrated himself, and just allowed me to go in with only 5 mins to spare for my Aqua Zumba class to start. When I was done, I went back to the desk to see what the issue was because I don't want to deal with that again. A young lady with more knowledge assisted me. She called NC YMCA to verify my membership, created a profile for me, and then told me in the future it shouldn't happen. She said that when I tell them "Nationwide", they will have to pull up a different system to look me up. She was very friendly and patient. The facility has been updated since the last time I was there. It looks more like my local Y now. The locker room was pretty clean. The pool was warm. I had a great time. I recommend this location.

I canceled when the new trainer reached out to us, because our program was based on monthly adjustments to our program. They said if the trainer was not available they would cancel the contract. I just received a call from collections. I emailed them and tried calling but they only have voicemail, no live person answers the phone. I'm in the process of filling complaints and if this does not get resolved will be taking legal action against the company.

But I highly recommend that YOU DO NOT sign up with compel fitness. You will have better luck finding a freelance trainer at any gym who are more than willing to accept a new client. Compel trains their employees to reach out to be client emotionally and they rush over all the fine print of the contract. Even compel trainers would recommend you find a freelancer just don't ask them while they are clocked in. The program is poorly ran. Instagram trainer videos would help you better than compel. The person who signs you up could care less about you after they get your signature. Even the trainers will tell you this is all true if you get them off the clock. Feel free to reach out to me in PM if you have any questions about my experience.

He's jipping me of my time (at least I think he is. He never gave me a copy of the signed contract. I think I'm supposed to be getting 60 minute sessions. He's giving me 40 minute session. And only gave me 30 minute sessions, the first few times we met.) I should have gone with my gut. And not have hired these people. I spoke with the lead trainer via phone during my search phase and was very clear that I wanted in home training. He gave me all this bull about how he can do training anywhere. I think the guy was just hurting for clients and or cash. I met with these guys. And my initial intake was a little shaky. Like they weren't really prepared for me. But I wasn't fully prepared either. I forgot to bring sneakers to the gym for the initial assessment. Then it came time to sign a contract. This guy was unwilling to let me take the contract home and review it before signing; siting proprietary information. So, I signed a contract and made a slight compromise to meet a employee trainer one day a week at a park. And another day per week at my home. This was a huge error on my part. I shouldn't have tried to compromise. But I liked the demeanor of the employee trainer. So, I thought I'll work with them if they work with me. I hated the demeanor of the lead trainer and thought - hey, I'll never have to deal with him after this... Big Big Mistake on my part. First meeting at the park, I cancelled. I was up late the previous night and couldn't make it. The first meeting at my home, the trainer cancelled. Said he couldn't get to me in the rain. I don't think the rain storm was all that bad, but whatever. The primary trainer still charged me for both visits and said they could be made up. The second meeting at the park, I had a meltdown. I had agreed to something that I really didn't want to do. I sent nasty text messages to the employee trainer. I still showed up at the park. He was no where to be found. Was probably annoyed by my nasty messages. So I tell the lead trainer I want out of my contract. I hadn't done any sessions yet... The lead trainer wanted to talk things over. I dodged him for weeks. Remember, the lead trainer is loud and boisterous. And most of all he doesn't (explicative) listen. He said I could buy out my contract for 50%, which equals $540. So, I could pay $540 to get nothing at all. I talked to the lead trainer and agree to move ahead with training sessions. This is the second time this jerk has manipulated me into something I really didn't want to do. So, the employee trainer quit without ever working with me. The lead trainer took over. I nearly have an anxiety attack every time I meet with this guy. I already have a super stressful life. I do not want my training session to be stressful. Every thing is an argument. He seems a bit disorganized. And all he does is complain about how I should go to the gym. I'm all like, look - I told I wanted home training from the beginning. He ignores me when I tell him I'm not comfortable doing things or that the weights are too hard. He has never shared a long term plan. I think he just flies by the seat of his pants. I have asked twice for a plan. Everything with him is an argument. I can barely get out of bed at 0650 in the AM to meet with him. I don't need this guy arguing with me every flippin' morning that he comes over.... So, I'm faced with breaking my contract. I've had 6 sessions and hate, hate, hate working with this guy. This guy annoys the heck out of me. I don't want to have a flippin' anxiety attack every time he comes over... He's too borish for my tastes. This guy knew he couldn't meet my needs and should have just let me out of the contract.

This place is on Fort Gregg-Adams, so you do need base access to be able to go here…read more This was probably the neatest, cleanest, most well maintained bowling alley I have been to in a long time, or possibly even ever. My kiddo has been wanting to learn to bowl, so this was the second place we have tried. They have sooooooooo many balls for younger kids since this is targeted toward military families. There were ample 4, 5, 6, and 7 pound balls. It was soooooooooo easy to find some smaller ones for my kiddos to use. I really appreciated that. You ask at the front desk for them to set the bumpers, but once they set them, they raise and fall each time for the players. So hubs and I could earn our gutter balls fair and square, while the kids got higher than they would have earned without them... Definitely better than places where you either have to have them up or down the whole time. No music was playing although they have one of those jukeboxes where you pay for songs on a phone app, but I rather liked how we weren't screaming over the music and pins falling. We ordered some two cheeseburger combos and a nachos and cheese. I really liked that when you order nachos, they grab you an individual bag of either Tostitos or nacho cheese Doritos, so it is consistent sized every time. The cheese dip is that delicious, iridescent orange cheese at ballparks and convenience stores, but boy does it hit the spot. It is a little pricy for $5.25, but the burger combos are a STEAL. Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions, and the condiment bar has so many options: mustard, ketchup, relish, ranch, hot sauce, honey mustard... it also comes with fries and a fountain drink (with orange soda, fruit punch, root beer, regular soda, Powerade... all the choices my picky kids love!) for $8.25. Cheaper than I pay at fast food chains these days and it was GREAT. Char marks and everything. Yum! You pay by the hour, and for shoe rentals and I do wish that the computer had a timer so you know how far into the hour you are, so you can gauge if you should start a new game or not, if you forgot to look at the time you started after trying to find multiple balls, get appropriately sized shoes and everything it takes to get two kiddos ready to bowl. We will definitely be back, we loved this location.

I was blown away at the music that was playing (not family friendly), for example one of the songs had lyrics that expressed the fact that the girl had killed her ex and she did it so she could be with someone else. Another song expressed the fact that they were demonized and hell was the place they were looking forward to going. To be honest I can't imagine why anyone would think that kind of music is appropriate for a family establishment. Just FYI the music that is being played MATTERS, both in the Spirit and in the physical realm. Outside of that the course was fun and challenging- we had a good time. Expressed myself to the management, really hope they heed a genuine concern.
