I went with my niece because her mother recently passed away and her father was at work. As a bystander, I was yelled at for taking a picture from a picnic table off in the distance while she was parking. Not asked to not do it, but scolded. The picture was for her proud dad that couldn't be there. I apologized and put my phone down, I didn't know I wasn't allowed to take a picture. I also still can't find anything about it on their website and I did not sign anything saying I would not take any pictures as a bystander. I was there with my 18yr old adult niece as she was trying to take her test. He immediately failed her after. Coincidence? As a professional myself, the situation could have been handled differently. We are booking a retake through a different company and I would recommend this one to no one, and will make sure not to schedule my teenager through this business for his road test.

He did not appear to make any effort to ease my child's nerves, which are quite normal for any teen doing a road test. I have had two other children already complete road tests with two other companies and I was extremely disappointed in the testing atmosphere provided by Roadmaster. Robin & Mark who operate the business were terrific to work with. Robin was efficient and professional regarding scheduling the test and Mark was equally polite and professional in administering the road test. The cost of the test was very competitive with other companies offering the same service. I do know that they also offer testing for other licensing such as CDL's. I highly recommend Mark & Robin's business if you live near Mancelona or Kalkaska, MI. I live in Traverse City and would recommend making the drive Kalkaska.

They didn't show up for my students scheduled drive time. Had two kids sitting in park lot at…read more8am... no instructor to drive them. Threaten kids w $35 fine if they didn't come to scheduled drives, but Courtesy instructors can waste kids (parents) time then kick the kid out of class for standing up for themselves. They couldn't even get the students scheduled for required 6 drives. At the end of week three, of four week course, my student only had 1 drive finished due to no fault of her own. I complained to them a week prior to the missed drive. Then after both issues, their resolve was to remove my student from the class the day before the written exam, during her last week of the course. Immature and unprofessional. Mr Schultz is the instructor who didn't show up for the drive. Mr Purwin mocked me in front of two other students for being confused and upset when Mr Schultz didn't show up. Mr Zeller didn't seem to know what was going on but at least he was kind. Their supervisor won't answer my calls (Dean Trudell COO of Courtesy. Schultz shared his cell w me but Dean won't answer... surprise, a cowardly COO). They punished a kid for adult mistakes, had 0 accountability. Don't recommend this program. We invested 3 weeks in to their course, so this was done out of spite, to punish me for complaining to them about their unprofessionalism. This is abuse of power. It's disgusting. I wouldn't trust my kid with these men.

I was served a moldy cheese sandwich…read morewhile there which terrified me of eating their food, the cabins were crowded and very sandy and the programs were long. The counselors were amazing though! It made me so sad that I went home early. Oh also- the bathrooms are awful and the cabins don't have ac. Interlochen if you read this please fix some of these things because I had an awful first camp experience.
