Based on the previous reviews, I almost canceled our reservation for our wedding anniversary dinner. We are so glad we went. Had amazing service by Connor and it was nice speaking with Ira as well. With being fairly local, we will definitely come back again.

Booked a four day golf outing for the first time. The lodge was very nice but definitely had some water issues at times during the day when you would be standing in the shower and it would just stop. Then a little later it would slowly start up again. Brutal. The rooms overlap were nice with a couch and plenty of tvs. All of the people working there and the restaurants were very helpful and pleasant. There is a lot to do at the property other than just golf. The shuttle service is great and we only had to wait a few minutes at each course or restaurant to get around. Clay pigeon shooting is a must to try while you are there. The pool was also nice and had plenty of seating. Definitely would come again.

This place was fantastic! Sometimes destinations are hyped up and only lead to disappointment once you arrive. Wasn't the case here - all the hype was justified during our trip. We drove in and it's sort of in the middle of nowhere. Love that the resort isn't some behemoth structure, but rather more in line with the surroundings. Actually, upon approach thought the grounds were beautiful but the outside of the resort was kind of bleh. That perception certainly changed. Upon arriving, valet was outstanding. They were on top of it, friendly, helpful, personable. They were Ritz Carlton level service. Wish I could recall the name of the guy who helped us - he was awesome. The inside of the resort is actually quite contemporary. Often golf resorts have that old country club feel, but this is certainly more of a 30-40 something guy vibe and I liked it. Front desk staff was just as awesome as valet. They immediately stopped conversations with coworkers when we'd approach, were willing to help with anything. We arrived a bit early and they were able to get us a key before official check-in time, which we really appreciated. No pulling faces about how it wasn't actually time - they just handled it. Our room was nice - decorated smartly, a sleeve of branded Streamsong balls inside (nice touch!! should sell these in the gift shop too). The only negative on the room is the window from the bathroom into the bedroom. If someone gets up in the middle of the night & turns on the bathroom light, it shines into the entire sleeping area. Bad design. Tried out the fitness room - small to medium size but plenty of equipment and clean. Enjoying using it. Gift shop by the exercise room offered several high end quick grab gifts for guys that need to come back with something for the wife/kids. The grounds in general were awesome. A couple fire pits outside, some corn hole, some couches/comfy chairs. The pool was awesome! Infinity pool with no charge cabanas. Water was perfect temp. There's also a turf mat at the pool where you can buy a bag of fish food balls for $20 and try to hit them onto an island. They have clubs at the pool bar you can use. There's a nature trail/walking path that goes down past the pool and fishing area, around the lake and back to the main hotel. Easy walk and nice if you're taking a spouse looking for something to do. Check out the HUGE alligators in the water. Tennis courts were in good shape, although we didn't play, or see anybody else playing while we were there. Spa - would skip it. Didn't enjoy my spa time, but I let the resort know and management very quickly was ready to address it. That's impressive! I appreciate them being so responsive. Ate breakfast at Fin & Feather (was fine but buffet was meh) and Pub 59 (food was pretty good). Service at both was sub par for the resort. Had dinner at Bone Valley - enjoyed the ambiance with large glass windows. Meal was quite tasty, drinks delish and server was excellent. Really enjoyed the steak salad - thanks for offering that! The guys also grabbed some bbq at the halfway house and said it was tasty. Oh - shuttles are easy to grab between locations, nice/clean inside and friendly drivers. Kind of surprised they don't have a cigar bar - my other half said he'd like a cigar and scotch bar, just saying. As for golfing, it was outstanding! Predominately younger golfers as no carts allowed during our visit and it's impressive terrain to cover. Played the black and red courses. Preferred red - the landscape, hills, water. Staff was extremely attentive, again on par with any 5 star hotel. Beautiful courses, special, different, challenging but fun, remarkable pace of play, abundant wildlife with alligators that looked like dinosaurs, immaculately maintained. For guys who like to golf, this is the ultimate destination.

Gorgeous facilities, completely ruined by horrible customer service. Went on an annual golf trip with a group of guys and we have rotated places like Kiaeah,, Bandon and Pinehurst. Each of which were not only far and away superior when it came to the service you received for the price, but they would have likely fired employees that we ran into well at Streamsong. You are a good hour outside of Tampa, with very little around other than the resort... And they act like they know it! Rather than turn this into a rant, I will just say, there are a myriad of places to go and spend thousands of dollars with your friends to play golf that are better than this.

It is the little designs that I love

The hotel is a modern contemporary style and fairly new the golf course is great and there are more than three it is in the middle of no where so it is a little hard to get to

For a corporate event very nice. Peaceful and nobody is going to sneak into town. It's too far. Golf was outstanding and the sporting clays were challenging. Not a wives weekend get away. Too remote. Really wanted to try the fishing. Friendly staff.

I got to play here this past May while my wife had some bridesmaid duties and I absolutely loved the place. I've had it on my golf bucket list for a while. I don't understand all the negative reviews towards any of the golf aspect. I played the Blue Course and thought highly enough of it that I added Streamsong back on my bucket list to eventually go back and play the Red and Black Courses too. I played with a father and son duo from Mexico City who were staying on resort and they had nothing but good things to say. They had a forecaddie booked and he was really awesome. The golf was great, the Blue Course was beautiful, and everyone that was part of the staff there seemed genuinely friendly. The tacos at their snack shack at the turn were beyond delicious too!

Saw a bald eagle and a swallow-tail kite. I'd like to tell you about that, but that's not the review. Here's the review: if you book here, you will be checking into a bizarre combination of tropical paradise, tailgate party, spring break, and a middle school playground. On St. Patrick's Day, we had been doing some sightseeing. We came back to our site, and the folks who had arrived behind us fired up their music. I don't have a problem with music or other noise prior to "quiet time," so long as it's not over the top. This was way over the top. Kim was on the phone with the nursing home about her 91-year old mother and she couldn't hear the other end of the call. We called Security and asked for help, they came around and talked to the offenders. Whereupon the offenders started yelling around "who complained about our music?" And, they sent their preteen daughters on their bicycles going around and asking "did you complain?" Let's just say it was downhill from there. They jacked the volume even more, and started taunting us. Kim lost her temper and started yelling at them to quiet down. They responded by threatening her. She told me to call security, but since they hadn't helped, and the on-duty rent-a-cop had no interest in helping, I called 911 (which the campground rules said to do in an emergency). Apparently, that was a mistake. The rent-a-cop was pissed off that we called 911 when he was supposed to already be on top of it (which he wasn't). So there was a conclave of police cars, and the night manager, and the three large guys from the offending site, etc. Bottom line: management demanded that WE leave, in half an hour, or be arrested. It's 10:30 pm, and I told the rent-a-cop that I was in no shape to drive. "Figure it out," he said, and walked away. So two 70-year olds had 30 minutes to get everything packed up and drive to some alternative place. While we were striking the site, the kids at the offending site were chanting "we won, we won." And they started playing "Hit the Road You Jack" quite loud. And the adults were yelling "we're Republicans. We can do whatever we want." They noted our Maine license plates and told us to "go back to Canada where you belong." We ended up in a wicked expensive hotel in the next town over, paying spring break prices ($340 a night!!). And we lost the cost of two nights at the campground. So if you're a party animal, this may be your kind of place. Just don't complain about anything, or you will be asked to leave. It's interesting to note which rules are enforced and which aren't. For instance, there's a poolside bar, and lots of signs between the bar and the pool saying "no food or drink beyond this point." Not only was there lots of food and drink around the pool, there were wait staff taking orders and delivering it. In retrospect, the fact that they have a rent-a-cop cruising the premises every night should have been red flag. I've never seen that before, but apparently they expect rowdiness. They just don't want to deal with the negative repercussions.

Due to covid, breakfast was not buffet style, they provided packaged muffins, fruit and granola bars. Leading up to the trip, we made repeated efforts to communicate with the property about details and amenities. At one point, we were told their system had been hacked and that we should not accept emails from them for a period of time. Then, shortly before our trip, we received what they described as an "app," which appeared incomplete and contained little to no useful information. Taken together, the communication issues raised concerns early on. The day before our cross-country flight, we received a call from Charles, who identified himself as the head sales manager and said he was "the boss" when asked about a supervisor. He informed us that the Pelican House was no longer available due to a reported bedbug issue. Regardless of the reason, the timing left us with virtually no ability to make alternative plans. The replacement options offered were, in our view, not comparable. We specifically chose this property for a quiet, intimate beachfront experience with access to amenities like kayaks, canoes, and bikes. The suggested alternatives were larger, more traditional resort-style properties without the same privacy, beach access, or features we had planned around. While these were described as "nicer," the focus was on things like interior finishes rather than the experience we had intentionally booked. What made this especially difficult is that just the day before, we had conversations with staff where we shared that this trip was for our 20th anniversary during a period of repeated family tragedies. At that time, the tone was empathetic and understanding. However, once the cancellation was communicated, that empathy disappeared. The interaction shifted to a rigid, take-it-or-leave-it approach with no meaningful acknowledgment of the impact. We were given two options: accept a replacement that did not meet our needs or take a refund at the last minute--leaving us with non-refundable flights, a car rental, and no place to stay. There was no effort to provide a comparable solution or to help mitigate the disruption. After the call, I attempted to reach Charles again, but did not receive a return call. My wife later received an automated refund email. When I contacted Susan, the house manager, to confirm what had happened, the response was brief and, in our view, lacked empathy--stating only that they "couldn't risk it" because of bedbugs. From our perspective, this experience was deeply disruptive and disappointing. It left us with significant unexpected costs, no accommodations, and a milestone anniversary trip that had been planned for months effectively undone at the last minute.

In our full kitchen, we stocked the refrigerator from the local Publix and made our breakfast and lunch, which we packed for the beach. Many guests chose to grill out as we saw when we would load up to go to a local restaurant for dinner, but we preferred eating out! On our first night at Hurricane Hanks restaurant down the road, we met up with a resident who offered us more ideas for restaurants for dinner. There's nothing like walking right out onto the beach to spend a morning watching the waves, seeing dolphins frolic, observing osprey catching their breakfast, and swimming in the water among schools of fish. The unit is old and has a beaten down look to it with lights that stayed on all the time, ones that didn't work at all and other work that looked as though it was done by armatures that watched You Tube videos to try their hand a DIY work 3. The unit is decorated in an early-attic, late basement, rummage sale motif. Although the bed was comfortable and the downstairs den was decent, everything else was low-end 4. The kitchen could only seat 4 and was ill equipped with utensils, cookware and china which had the rummage sale-goodwill store feel. The bad stuff noted above is all predicated on the eye-popping cost of $646/day ($18,000 for the month). Based on the cost we expected a much better unit and experience. From other review it appear that most people stayed for long weekends in the cottage units which I presume are in better shape, however, our experience in the duplex was not worth the money.
