They had no idea if we even found a place to go. They parked the new people right outside our site to get us to get out faster. They did not care that their error (system or not) displaced us. They did not even attempt to make it right.

Saw a bald eagle and a swallow-tail kite. I'd like to tell you about that, but that's not the review. Here's the review: if you book here, you will be checking into a bizarre combination of tropical paradise, tailgate party, spring break, and a middle school playground. On St. Patrick's Day, we had been doing some sightseeing. We came back to our site, and the folks who had arrived behind us fired up their music. I don't have a problem with music or other noise prior to "quiet time," so long as it's not over the top. This was way over the top. Kim was on the phone with the nursing home about her 91-year old mother and she couldn't hear the other end of the call. We called Security and asked for help, they came around and talked to the offenders. Whereupon the offenders started yelling around "who complained about our music?" And, they sent their preteen daughters on their bicycles going around and asking "did you complain?" Let's just say it was downhill from there. They jacked the volume even more, and started taunting us. Kim lost her temper and started yelling at them to quiet down. They responded by threatening her. She told me to call security, but since they hadn't helped, and the on-duty rent-a-cop had no interest in helping, I called 911 (which the campground rules said to do in an emergency). Apparently, that was a mistake. The rent-a-cop was pissed off that we called 911 when he was supposed to already be on top of it (which he wasn't). So there was a conclave of police cars, and the night manager, and the three large guys from the offending site, etc. Bottom line: management demanded that WE leave, in half an hour, or be arrested. It's 10:30 pm, and I told the rent-a-cop that I was in no shape to drive. "Figure it out," he said, and walked away. So two 70-year olds had 30 minutes to get everything packed up and drive to some alternative place. While we were striking the site, the kids at the offending site were chanting "we won, we won." And they started playing "Hit the Road You Jack" quite loud. And the adults were yelling "we're Republicans. We can do whatever we want." They noted our Maine license plates and told us to "go back to Canada where you belong." We ended up in a wicked expensive hotel in the next town over, paying spring break prices ($340 a night!!). And we lost the cost of two nights at the campground. So if you're a party animal, this may be your kind of place. Just don't complain about anything, or you will be asked to leave. It's interesting to note which rules are enforced and which aren't. For instance, there's a poolside bar, and lots of signs between the bar and the pool saying "no food or drink beyond this point." Not only was there lots of food and drink around the pool, there were wait staff taking orders and delivering it. In retrospect, the fact that they have a rent-a-cop cruising the premises every night should have been red flag. I've never seen that before, but apparently they expect rowdiness. They just don't want to deal with the negative repercussions.

She shows the same diligence in every aspect of her position at CGCG & RV Park. Now for the park, they have some amazing residents, some of who also pitched in. Let's start by saying we were excited the first year we went to this campground back in 2021. It…read morewas our first experience at being a snowbird and we had a great time. However as each year passed and our fourth year came to an end for our 6/6 agreement the campground had lost its identity and an under current could be felt which lead to our reduced enjoyment, pleasure and clicks were a major part. As the park lost their good snowbirds they were replaced with a whole different type of person. The rec hall where many events are held turned from a discreet drinking scene to a drunk festival as every event was replaced with 40 oz bottles, moonshine, Jell-O shots and pudding shots leading to a quick deterioration. Watching a married women basically sitting on men laps feeding them shots was the new norm. During our last event a hillbilly theme party one person thought it would be cool to drop his pants three times and no one said anything even with management there. Frankly yes he had a bathing suit but seriously show some class it's a family park not an adult club. The same person danced with a women who basically lost her pants to her ankles, It's a shame a respectful park became this and most left events by 7 or 8 pm due to situations. In addition it you like the pool for swimming good luck the volleyball people called Bullyball by some young children took over the pool's shallow end even when it was not scheduled they pushed their way into the pool setting up their net. This went on for a few years and resulted in several awkward moments at the pool in which management did nothing they allowed it to continue however this year was absolutely out of control. This caused many campers to leave the park as the pool kept being overrun during the prime time 3 pm even if it was not scheduled. By end March push back began and people intentionally loaded up the pool blocking the volleyball players when they tried to start a game during non scheduled times. The Landry areas are a joke they raised the price despite many machines not operating correctly including frying your clothes, not rinsing soap, no cold water only hot water. The washrooms in general are in a desperate need for a full gut and renovation. They are often dirty and not presentable for use. The true reality and the condition of park today most of the grass is dead or killed off, most pads are all broken up this includes both the pad and patios. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing as 2 is not enough for the amount of lots, in addition there are rules however these rules are not enforced or for all. This includes drinking and driving golf carts there is even 1 golf cart that is literally a mobile bar. Evidently pot and medicinal pot smokers are a criteria at this campground as no matter where you are If you enjoy the smell of pot it is a multiple daily event this has degraded yearly. It is a shame that this park in a wonderful location has raised it rates $1500.00 per season over our time yet needs serious work. It appears that there is little direction by Management to lead its employees and organize a schedule of maintenance as well as impose the rules

But there are great stores and restaurants nearby for convenience. We stayed here 5 days September. We were in the pull-thrus right across from the lake. The lake is pretty with many water birds. They allow catch and release fishing and kayaking. There is a sign that there may be alligators but we didn't see any. The site was long enough for our 32 ft travel trailer and pickup to be in. We had full hookups that were in good condition. There was a picnic table and grass on the door side and a beautiful palm tree on the driver's side. It was a nice area to put chairs and enjoy the lake or there were benches to sit and relax. There was a pool and other amenities that we did not try but looked nice. It will be fun going back when I can use these things! Office staff was friendly and helpful. They take Passport America at least in summer. I definitely recommend Pleasant Lake RV Resort!! Honestly I was skeptical not being a lover of the humid warm weather weather in Florida but it quickly grew on me. The people in this park felt like family. We made so many friends and the management team Adam , Angie and Dale were always available and keeping the park in tip top shape. We had a lovely back in site (#50) which had a good amount of shade and spacious enough for out 40ft mothorhome and jeep with plenty of room to spare for relaxing, lounging and grilling. There is a beautiful pond in the middle of the park with birds that come and go and and an area to walk your dog . The only thing I would recomend is squeezing a dog park in there somehow ( long enough for dogs to play ball) and maybe a pickle ball court lol! The area is great... if you like to walk or ride bikes there are many beautiful white sand beaches to explore, great restaurants and tons of activities in the area. We'll be back!!!

He and his assistants Dale and Angie are always available, you see them all during the day working, if you need anything they are ready to assist in a super nice way/great attitude! In fact we see Adam all the time, including the weekends, he always asks as he's passing by if everything is okay or if we need anything. The sites are full hookup; the landscape is beautiful; with a nice pool that extends to an undercover pavilion shaded area so we can play cards when we're not in the pool. It's only 0.7 miles from our campsite to the other side of the bridge, to the beach. I love Buttonwood RV Resort so much, I wish I could live here all year long!
